If I get a new MBP, can I install opening. So I can see and move images

I know that the opening is 'dead' the question is... I have an old imac 2007. It is practically useless.

If I buy an Apple day,... I will be able to install opening and use it to read the ext hard drives so I can access my images and migrate/move/change to referenced images. Or am I screwed up with tens of thousands of images captured on the HARD drive

You can open the pictures library; If you have previously obtained the opening where associated to the Mac App store, you can also download on the new Mac and use it to access pictures.

I'm going to sound like I'm repeating myself tonight... (see previous 4 posts...)  but try this:

When you start start pressing F8 until you get the Windows startup options.  Then try "Last known good configuration" see if that helps.  If this does not work, try to F * then try to go to Safe Mode.  If those who do not help, I would start with your XP CD to recovery mode and run "chkdsk/r" then "sfc/scannow".  QQ learn manage!

I just got a laptop with windows 7 on it and I want to connect to my other PC for it, they are on the same network through a router. the PC can see and access the laptop without asking for a user name and password but the laptop cannot access the PC because it asks me a username and password that I don't know.

If someone could answer this question, it would be great.

    Hello
    Maybe this can help.

Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

Group residential network = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.

Working network = fundamentally similar to previous methods of sharing that allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.

    Public share
= network Public (as Internet Café) in order to reduce security risks.

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq.html#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

  • Get a new computer - Can I download Photoshop Elements 7.0, registered?

    Hello!

I'm getting a new computer. My old man's got Photoshop Elements 7 on it, and I managed to save it on my Adobe account, so I have the serial code.

I mean you can re - download Adobe software if you have the serial code. The general idea as I understand is that you have to download the trial version, enter your activation code, and then you can have the full version of Photoshop Elements 7.0.

Should I uninstall Photoshop Elements 7.0 to my current (old) computer in order to download it to my new?

Are there terms or variables that I should know about?

    Thank you in advance!

You are allowed to have two active facilities, so there is no requirement to disable the old installation.  You might want to keep it there anyway since it is questionable whether or not version 7 will work on any newer system you have now.

  • If I buy Photoshop CS6 (not CC) and then get a new computer, can I still use it?

I am a user of Adobe that is not in agreement with the subscription type. I do not use the software enough to justify the long-term costs. If I bought Photoshop CS6 (not the subscription of the CC), then got a new computer, would I be able to install and use CS6 on my new computer?

Adobe software licenses are related to you as a person, not a specific computer. You can reinstall and activate CS6 on your new computer, but there is a limit of two simultaneous activations per license (technically a work and one for home, you cannot share the second installation with someone else). It is easy to deactivate the license on the old machine, once you are done with it.

CS6 is specific of operating system (Windows or OS X) so if you change your operating system to your new computer, you will have to ask Adobe license converted. You can do it only once.

  • Unable to connect to a network printer, but can see and discover

I'd appreciate any help with this: I have exhausted my Google searches for most of the day, and Microsoft support articles are of course a great help.

The problem: I have a printer installation on one of the XP Home computers in our home network (all the XP Home computers). I am trying to connect to this printer from another computer, but I'm unable to add through the "Add printer" Wizard While I can see the printer in the list of printers on a network (including two other printers on other machines that work), when I try to connect to this particular printer in question, I am struck with a challenge to connect with what seems to be the guest account on the computer. There is no password for this account so I leave the password blank, and I then told me that I do not have sufficient permissions. I don't know what to do.

A few pieces of my Google-ing info that may be useful:

    (1) I made sure that the guest account is enabled and even perform the active command of the net user on the computer in question.
    (2) I use Windows Firewall and I said to turn on the printer and file sharing and have exceptions for such.
    (3) I use Microsoft Security Essentials.

    (4) given that it is XP Home of course I can't access everything related to security or other policy.

In addition, whenever I try to access this computer on the Working Group, it says I have "insufficient permissions". I don't know what it means that I've never been specified no restrictions when I ran the Network Setup Wizard.

Windows networking works better if you have matching user accounts password on each machine rather than try to rely on the guest account (which is a security hole).

See the following tips from the old MS MVP Malke.  He's old, but it's always good.  Not everything can be applied to your situation; Take the parts that do.

The best and simplest is to buy a wireless router. This way you get Internet connectivity both machines and the added benefit of security more between you and the Internet. Then you configure your network wireless safely, and then you configure file/printer sharing. Here is information on the implementation of a router and also in networking. It seems long, but don't be intimidated. Setting up a router and the LAN of sharing between two computers takes about 15 minutes.

    The router configuration

Setting up a router is simple enough. Normally, you run the CD that came with the router and follow the instructions. If you're running Vista, maybe the CD that came with the router does not work; I do not know this. But you can set up the router without the CD. Note that if you have Internet cable for the connection you have just set up the router to DHCP (or there may even be a choice of cable to choose). If you have DSL Internet, you select TRP usually and enter the username and password you selected when you initially set the DSL connection. So:

    1. turn off the power to your cable modem.

    2. attach a cable (usually supplied with the router) course Ethernet cat5e Internet/WAN port of the router to the Ethernet port on the cable modem.

    3. connect the ethernet cable cat5e from the network card in your computer to one of the ports on the router. If you do not have an ethernet cable (because you were using USB), you will need to go to the store and buy a.

    4. turn on the cable modem. After that all the lights are on, turn on the router.

    To configure the router:

Have a computer connected to the router with an ethernet cable. Examples given are for a Linksys router. See the manual of your router or the router mftr's Web site. for the parameters by default if you don't have a Linksys. Open a browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox and in the address bar type:

http://192.168.1.1 [Enter] (it is default IP address of the router, which varies from router to router then check your manual)

This will bring you to the login screen of the router. The default username is blank and the Linksys default password is "admin" without the quotes. Enter this information. You are now in the configuration of the router utility. Your configuration utility may be slightly different from mine.

Click the Administration link at the top of the page. Enter your new password. MAKE A NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL NOT LOSE. Re-enter the password to confirm it, and then click Save settings at the bottom of the page. The router will reboot and show you the box of connection again. Do not fill in the user name and put it in your new password to enter the configuration utility.

Now, click on the link wireless at the top of the page. Change the network name (SSID) wireless by default to something, you'll recognize. I suggest that my clients not use their surname as the SSID. For example, you might want to name your network wireless network "CastleAnthrax" or similar.

Click on save settings and when you get the prompt that your changes were successful, click the wireless security link which is just beside the Basic Wireless Settings link (where you changed your SSID). If you have a newish computer, you will be able to affect security WPA2-Personal Mode. Do this and enter a password. The password is what you enter on all computers that are allowed to connect to the wireless network. MAKE A NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL NOT LOSE.

At this point, your router is set up and if the computer that you use to configure the router will normally connect wireless, disconnect the Ethernet cable and wireless of the computer should see your new network. Enter the password you created to join the network and start surfing.

    B. file/printer sharing of

Excellent, comprehensive, but easy to understand article on sharing files/printer under Vista. Contains information about sharing printers and files, and the folders:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727037.aspx

For XP, start by running the Network Setup Wizard the on all machines (see warning in section A below).

Problems sharing files between computers on a network are usually caused by 1) a misconfigured firewall or a firewall neglected (including a dynamic firewall in a virtual private network); or (2) inadvertently run two firewalls such as the firewall of Windows and a third-party firewall. and/or (3) do not have accounts to the same users and passwords on all computers in the workgroup. (4) tries to create actions where the operating system does not.

    A. configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, it means which allows file sharing / print on the Exceptions tab normally run the XP Network Setup Wizard will take care of this for these machines. The only "witch hunt", it will turn on the XPSP2 Windows Firewall. If you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus with "Internet Worm Protection" (like Norton 2006/07) which acts as a firewall, you're fine.  With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Do not run more than one firewall. DON'T STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE THEM CORRECTLY.

    (B) to facilitate the Organization, put all computers in the same workgroup. This is done from the System applet in Control Panel, the computer name tab.

    C. create the counterpart of the user accounts and passwords on all machines. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this. The instructions on this link work for XP and Vista:

Set up Windows to automatically connect (MVP Ramesh) - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Autologon.htm

    D. Si one or more of the computers is XP Pro or Media Center, turn off Simple file sharing (Folder Options > view tab).

    E. create share as you wish. XP Home does not share the users directory or the Program Files, but you can share folders inside those directories. A better choice is to simply use the Shared Documents folder. See the first link above for more information on Vista sharing.

    F. you have the job of file sharing (and tested by exchanging a file between machines), if you want to share a printer connected locally to one of your computers, share of this machine. Then go to the printer mftr Web site. and download the latest drivers for the correct system. Install them on the target machines. The printer must be collected during the installation procedure. If this isn't the case, install the drivers and then use the Add Printer Wizard. In some cases, printers must be installed as local printers, but it is outside this response.

  • I can't see gif images in mail win vista. I can see all other images in mail win.

I installed IE9 on my desk and now when I use Win mail and insert a gif image will not display. If I click on the empty space where the image should be, that it will only display the selection around the gif image handles but not the image itself. Once I have selected the space with the handles around him, I can select the option copy and then paste copied selection into a graphics program and it will show. • Windows7 home group sharing printers displays error 0 x 00000001, PC to join the Group House can not see shared printers but can see and share all files between the computers in the home group

This issue just started about 4 days after years of good impression on the computers in the homegroup.  Nothing I know came to start this problem.

Printers cannot be seen by the remote PC that needs to connect to printers via homegroup.  Printers, 2, a laser and the other color ink jet, showed both on the remote PC called but also showed "offline", I tried to find ways to put on line, but nothing could fill this function. I read a suggestion that I should remove the printer and then recharge it.  I removed the printer and is where I found that I couldn't see the printer on the network of homegroup to reload.

I rebooted the bridge and the two PCs and turned off the firewall and virus protection software and closed the Group residential and the recreated homegroup and pretty much any other start-up base and installation process you can think, and nothing gets my functional printers through the remote PC.  I even physically removed one of the printers of the main PC and deleted the software and then reconnected and recharged and have made sure I have the latest drivers and it made no difference at all.

  • How do I give the answers of my modem in a VI after each command that I send it so that I can see and document his actions?

    Hello colleagues LabVIEW'ers!

I created a program that will interview a modem which is connected to the serial port on my pc.  I use the VISA starting functions by the serial port set it up and then I plugged into the function WRITE, then the BYTES to the PORT, then the READ function and finally the CLOSE function.  The problem statement is as follows:

~ How do they give answers of my modem in the VI after each command, I send it so I can see his actions and ultimately to report query out of it?

Furthermore, I don't know if my commands syntax is correct.  Otherwise, I used a program called cygwin interface and a single command, I used is "ssh root@"ipaddress"[enter] This brings me to my modem connection control.  The cygwin command syntax would work with my labVIEW VI? If not, then how can I know what the command syntax to use to query my modem to LabVIEW?

    Additional information

Modem - modem Satellite 'Evolution '.

Version of LabVIEW - Professional 8.6.1

Method of communication - Serial Port

I appreciate all the assistance of those to receive, and I also hope that responses to this question are many who come through it.

It seems that you have some apples and oranges here. Cygwin is a Linux for Windows environment. It gives you a bit of Linux look-and-feel in Windows. SSH is a secure, shell, which is a network protocol, not RS - 232. The serial port is a different interface. It may or may not have the same commands that you use on ssh - the manual will tell you that.

Regarding the serial interface that you want to do, it looks like you want to just do something like what did the old LVTerm . You can give that VI a test to see if it does what you want.
