If I remove iCloud library in my iPhone (but not on my Mac) I lost photos?

I have iCloud library enabled on my iPhone and Mac.

Everything works perfectly, great synchronization, all photos back available for me to see 10 years.

Now I have run out of space on my iPhone, and my photos (despite the optimization of storage on iCloud photo library) are the main reason for this.

If I disable iCloud photo library on my iPhone, but keep it on my Mac, what will happen?

Do I lose all the photos?

Once I did, if I delete the pictures of my phone are they so just deleted from my phone, but not my iCloud?

Appreciate the help, thanks

If you disable iCloud photo library on your iPhone, you will see more pictures on this device. iCloud photo library on your Mac will still have pictures. You should not lose all the photos from your Mac, but make a copy of your library beforehand should put your mind at rest until you can verify that he has lost. Delete the pictures taken on your iPhone will not affect your Mac or iCloud, but neither future pictures taken on your iPhone will go into iCloud photo library.

  • iCloud library downloads from iPhone stopped 6s

I turned on iCloud photo library on my iPhone 6s, but it stopped downloading after a while and I cannot find a way to let him finish. He seems to lack pictures more than 3 months. It is stuck at "downloading 1 474 points (1.35 GB 305.9 MB). Some of them were transferred from Android phone when I got my iPhone in 12/2015, but not all. My iCloud storage always reports 3.7 GB available. I have not upgraded to iOS 10.

    Apple support appellant's answers:
    (1) check the battery and connect the power cord so weak (it had fallen to < 30%)

    (2) force close Photos & camera apps by double-clicking the home button and then slide up (Photos app has been reduced to a minimum but not closed).

Now shows download active status under settings iCloud photo library!

  • What happens when you disable and remove iCloud library after 30 days?

Hello Apple, so today I disabled and deleted iCloud library in my settings, I wanted to know if the application is deleted from your phone after 30 days, to take pictures with your camera what happens after 30 days, and if after 30 days you turn on iCloud Photo library of back?

If you just stopped synchronization, photos should remain on the device. The 30 days, you mentioned is that if you remove the device. The application will remain even if you delete all the photos. If after 30 days you turn on synchronization, all photos will be synchronized.

  • Remove iCloud library remove my photos from my camera

I want to back up my data but the I cloud photo library takes too much space so I want to know if turn off iCloud library would remove the pictures and videos from my camera, and I don't have a pc if you are using a computer would not be a valid solution

I was wondering this too! I received an email from Apple as soon as I turned off my iCloud photo library, and he says: "You must download full resolution photos and videos at least one device before they are deleted icloud library within 30 days."

"Photos full resolution" are pictures that have more pixels, compared to photos low low-pixel resolution. If you're wondering what pixels are and why they are important, they essentially affect the size and sharpness of a photo. Large, clear photo is a full/high resolution photo. A small blurry photo is a picture of low resolution.

I'm sure this means that if you want the best and the most beautiful photos, you can let your iCloud photo library on. If you don't mind more blurry, less polite pictures, turn the power off. Keep reading, though, before you go turn off your iCloud library.

Good, now that I've explained what activating / deactivating the iCloud photo library will do to your photos, I will give you the answer to your question:

I don't think that the pictures on your iPad will be deleted if you turn off your iCloud photo library. If your photos mean a lot to you and you don't want to take the risk to remove, do not turn off your iCloud photo library. Turn it off and not turn on again in 30 pourrait delete your photos. I don't think he's going to remove them, but it could very likely.

Summary of my response/TLDR: I do not think that your photos will be deleted if you turn off your iCloud photo library, but they might, so if your photos are very important to you (and you do not want to risk having to delete them), then keep it.

    Sincerely,

    TaylorSwift16

  • iCloud library drains the battery of my iPhone but not my iPad

Yesterday I started using iCloud library in all my devices.

It seems that the substantive activities of Photos in my iPhone is so different in my iPad.

I do not understand why in these two iOS devices there is a difference between the activities of the iCloud photo libraries.

Pls see 2 photos: one of my iPhone and one of my iPad.

Why there is difference between these two devices?

    Thank you.

THESE PHOTOS WAS TAKEN AT THE SAME TIME

    iPad:

    iPhone:

There is a huge difference - iPhone takes pictures with the 8 megapixel camera, where the ipad is about 1 at best. Photo on ipad files size is average more small, so that we do not only of many videos and photos on iPads normally. Then have the device load library, and download it to the phone will be much more intensive.

  • iCloud library... simply does not work

I have to admit - Im very angry about this.

    Here is my situation;

    1. when I look at my phone, all THE PHOTOS, I have 5 683 pictures

2 when I connect my phone to my Mac, it says I have 2 389 pictures

    3. when I login to iCloud online, he said: I have 4 271 pictures

I don't want to use iCloud photo library. In fact, I remember turning off the COAST, but during an update, he must have turned on YOU.

And now, I find myself crossing Europe, taking thousands of photos that appear on my phone and yet when I try to import my phone to edit and publish, they actually aren't there to import and I must log on to iCloud and download them individually.

I can SEE ALL the photos on my phone. I can see some of the photos on my iPad. I can see some of the photos on my Mac. I tried to turn off the iCloud photo library and it threatens to remove everything from everywhere. Why? They are to ME.

I was looking for a solution online and Im so surprised that no one seems to complain about this. It is a TERRIBLE problem. I literally took photos 2 weeks ago, I can see them on my phone and now they are not available to download. I tried the programs third too and it does not solve the problem of photos exist somewhere - just not physically stored on the phone.

Have I completely wrong? Is that seriously how this is supposed to work?

If this is the case, it's a deal breaker. IM ready to throw my iPhone out and get something I did a master's degree.

I can SEE ALL the photos on my phone. I can see some of the photos on my iPad. I can see some of the photos on my Mac. I tried to turn off the iCloud photo library and it threatens to remove everything from everywhere. Why? They are to ME.

Reread the guests when you turn off iCloud photo library. He tells you that it will remove the pictures from the camera, not iCloud himself. Very different.

Disable the iCloud on a device is not remove their icloud. Deleting photos on your phone while iCloud is turned on, does.

Connect to icloud.com. Look in the pictures icon. It's your library. These pictures are full-size and will stay there unless you delete them so that your site iCloud.com or delete them from your phone (reduced or no version) while you always synchronize your device and iCloud. It sounds like you may have several origins, sending photos to iCloud. You can have, for various reasons, more pictures on your phone that have been synchronized in iCloud.

Assuming that you connect all your devices using the same Apple ID.

  • notes from the iPhone will not sync for Mac

I use iCloud-based limited - find my iPhone, iCloud Drive, reminders, Notes, and news. Settings for iCloud shows these three elements under tension. Unfortunately, Notes does not sync to Mac now or never. Settings for iCloud shows that the Mac and the iPhone are connected to iCloud. I don't know if new is sync for iCloud, as there is no icon for it on the web page of iCloud.

In settings iCoud on the Mac, it is not a single entry in notes even if there are 15 different notes on the phone which are changed daily on the lists. On the phone, there is a 0 for the notes in iCloud.

As far as I know, Notes should work, but I can't say what the problem is.

In settings > Notes "on my iPad" - account checked or not?
