  We currently have a Canon Pixma MP-480 & he served us very well for about 4 years, but now I have to find a new.  I've been looking at HP as I understand it the price for consumption of ink is low etc..  Is currently seeking to HP Officejet Pro 8600, I didn't know that there was? versions of 8600 etc..  Can someone tell me what the main differences are (except the price of course).  I tried to read several of the reviews & the pros & cons were everywhere in the room.  Most seem quite happy & some certainly were not.  I have a laptop HP & am very happy with it.

  One of the concerns was that we could not send the scanner?  Our old printer, we choose e-mail via our computer on the screen to send something in our scanner?

  Another issue was auto 'duplex' etc.  I understand this means printing 2 sides, but beyond that, I wasn't sure what each of the 8600 printers did or did not.  Could someone explain this part of it, please.

  There is no technical requirement that vSphere components must be on the same IP subnet. You can have all the components on a separate and routed (or even a firewall, you implement granted sufficient rules) subnet without problems. If that made sense, however, is a completely different question.

  If they are managed by the same vCenter, or similar commercial purposes, I would put them on the same subnet. I only consider something a subnet extra for things like DMZ-Clusters, that can be distinguished from any other as much as possible. A vMotion VLAN cluster might be a correct point in a normal scenario too.

  ESXi hosts really do not generate any significant broadcast traffic, apart from a few ARP requests here and there. This isn't Windows, after all, and even if that were the case, the time when you had to worry about the reasons broadcasting with 'only' a few hundreds or thousands of systems on a broadcast domain have long been more with the advent of fast and gigabit ethernet.

  Yes, CUCM and GUY can do pretty much any call of coverage you want.  The main difference beside features which you can search on MSDS are the architecture of the system (server or router), capacity, deployment model (centralized vs. distributed), redundancy, some integrations system 3rd party, etc.

  I wonder if any of you good people out there can tell me if there are limits on what the code can be executed (or accessed memory) by a method of object of shareable Interface (SIO) server-side?
  
  I have a server applet that implements a SIO which includes a single method - IncNumber(). It simply increments a field on a single byte which is one of the many areas in an array of nonvolatile memory. BUT before the number can be incremented IncNumber() must verify a seal THAT protects the entire table. If the seal is OK then the field can be incremented and a new seal is created the entire table. The server cmdlet has an APDU that calls IncNumber and I can make these units APDU to my heart's content and see incrementing number always protected by properly trained seals. So when running the applet Server everything works fine.
  
  The problem comes when I create a Client applet which tries to call the Principal agent. IncNumber() method, because it always returns an error 6F00. I found that the problem comes when the applet Server runs the following command (in trying to check the certificate FOR):
  
  cipherDES.init (keyTest [0], Cipher.MODE_ENCRYPT);
  
  cipherDES is declared in a non-volatile memory and is initialized in the constructor of the server. keyTest is an array of possible keys (also resident in non-volatile memory), but for the moment only [0] is already used. The server must go through an initialization phase which initializes keyTest [0] so I'm fairly certain that all objects exist. Don't forget that I can issue an APDU to the server cmdlet that runs this code yourself without problem.
  
  My understanding of the functioning of the WIS system is that when the customer calls that the SIO customer method gets hunted in memory to be replaced by the server, as if the server had been selected himself, so I don't see why it will fail on this line of code. This interpretation is correct?
  
  So my QUESTION is this. He knows that this will not work? If so, can you please explain why and give me ideas on how I could get around it (if possible). If you think that this should can work you give me ideas why it isn't (or things that I could try to find out). Would it be a limitation on the card that I use (AFAIK, the map I use this on is a map of NXP JCop 2.4.1 running Javacard 2.2.2 and global platform 2.1.1)?

  The problem is with the creation of the object of encryption. You must define externalAccess to true in the call to getInstance(). The javadoc says:

  externalAccess true indicates that the instance will be shared between applet multiple instances and that the instance of the encryption algorithm is also available (via a shared interface) when the owner of the instance of the encryption algorithm is not the currently selected applet. If true the implementation doesn't have to allocate internal data CLEAR_ON_DESELECT transitional space.

  In addition, when the main agent is called, the caller is not deleted from the memory, there is a change of context internally in the JCRE. The SIO server may not necessarily be currently selected. It is covered in a bit more detail in the JCRE plug.

  You will be able to all the things that you said except the approval workflow. Approval is something that comes by default with vCAC but its not available with standard edition. You will be able to add infrastructure, create a reserve on it, creating plans and machines.

  vCAC has a self-service portal that comes along with other features, so you can reach the last point.

  I experienced a problem with an application. I think I've isolated the problem in the "Timed loop question - Source Code.zip" attached source code. A detailed list of my results are in the attached document "Timed loop detailed question - Results.docx.

  Overview - it seems to be closely related to the IO files and the use of "Timed loops" on the OR cRIO-9012

  1. If I activate the e/s in two loops, then two loops crash simultaneously

  2. If I activate only the e/s in a loop, then only this loop crashes

  3. If I activate the e/s in two loops and make a 'While' loop earrings, then it don't crash

  4. If it is wrote nothing in the file I/o, then it don't crash

  5. If the reference to the file is left open instead of opening and closing on each call, so it don't crash

  6. If I try to run it on "My Computer", then it don't crash

  7. If the IO is only activated in a loop and programmed to wait for one second between the file access, then it always crashes

  In my real application, any given row is only writing (at least) once a minute, but I couldn't still my application to plant within a period of 24 hours by writing a single error of a single loop once per minute, with a low CPU use. It was the impulse to test the seventh point above.

  It seems that the best solution was to open the reference to the file and let it open. I think it is a good practice in general and I'll do the update in the application. This should solve the problem, but it is very difficult to verify this due to the sporadic nature of the question. As such, I'd like to understand what was causing the problem so I can verify that it was fixed. So far, my attempts to create a single, coherent theory able to explain all aspects of this issue have failed.

  I just wanted to know at all that there has been a request for corrective action (CAR #214156) has filed for this issue to be fixed in a future release. This seems to be a problem with the VxWorks operating system, we use in real time. We have additional cRIO chassis which have a Pharlap OS where it does not work. For now, you can search for this CAR ID notes to see if this problem has been resolved for publication in the future.

  Currently, there are two solutions, we have identified for this problem:

  1. open the file before the loop and close it after. (recommended)
  2 perform file i/o in a normal loop and transfer data to a queue.
