• sparsebundle disk image not mounting

  I've recently upgraded to Mac OS Sierra and now I can not mount an image of disk sparsebundle.

  I enter the password, and then nothing happens.

  I tried the same image on a Mac running Leopard and it opens fine.

  I tried a few other sparsebundle some and other encrypted disk images not. Some are open very well, but others do not.

  So, it doesn't seem to be a problem of sparsebundle encrypted disk image.

  Any suggestions?

  After investigation a little more the problem is Sophos AV

  Turn it off and the disk mount fine images.

  You're not supposed to be access the recovery partition or copying what anyone, unless you go actually to recover the PC as long as you plant. -ignore the msg.

  In the system properties > System Protection disable protection for the D drive

  BTW have you created your recovery disks, using the process described by the manufacturer of your PC, if you you do not need to do that now!

  This can happen if you have conencted some disk of the machine that has pictures and you have set up the photos in the screen saver.

  You can try to change the photo screensaver can access the registry path if it exists.

  a. Click Start, type regedit in the search box and press ENTER.

  b. navigate to the

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Gallery\Slideshow\Screensaver photo

  c. If the screen saver is mentioned in the settings, then on the right you will see "FolderPath".

  (d) the entry for folderpath should be C:\Users\Public\Pictures\Sample pictures

  e. If isn't changing for the above entry.

  f. exit the registry editor, restart the computer and check.

  Important: The above mentioned steps show you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

  I had a search around on these forums and cannot find a solution to my problem and I was wondering if you could help.

  Basically, I was starting to use GREP in style sheets to make some of my layout work is much easier, but have encountered a small problem. I'm working on the search criteria to select (and change the style of) an entire paragraph in one area of text doublet with multiple paragraphs with a single stylesheet applied. This specific paragraph always starts with "it is expected...". "but the rest of the paragraph may always vary. I'm very new to this so a combination to try the positive Lookahead CTE never seems to bring all the results I'm after.

  Hope this is enough information and would appreciate any suggestions.

  This GREP will find & select the whole paragraph:

  ^It is expected.+$
  

  ..  If you only need to apply a new paragraph style, you don't have to 'select' the whole paragraph, and

  (anything from this string). You don't have to select the entire paragraph, because it is simply not possible to assign a paragraph style to 'just the found text.

  But - on the other hand...

  -you're talking about GREP styles? If so, you need the expression 'full' but you must remember that you cannot change the paragraph style.

  The actual message means you need to move the mounted image - the small icon that is displayed after you double-click the .dmg - and put it in the trash.

  That is not appearing is not in the Finder when I plug it in or after a reboot. Don't know why... tried to remove entries from keychain etc nothing in 'fstab '...

  ... I vaguely remember trying to stop mounting encrypted disks once before, when I was on 10.6 (I improved that settle at 10.10), and had a system dual boot, it's long time (so the dialog to enter a password is displayed, it was annoying me after every restart)... I'm sure I did... don't know if I did it via fstab or if I could have changed something via the Terminal. fstab is empty, all the ideas I have on the other could have done, or if, that is related? Note, I also had issues getting FileVault working on this computer, he is actually caught a break and I had to target drive on another Mac to complete the encryption.

  On 10.10.5 with all update BTW.

  In this case, the answer was I moved the (disabled) com.apple.corestorage.corestoraged.plist:

  sudo mkdir /System/Library/LaunchDaemons.Disabled Pei

  sudo mv /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.corestorage.corestoraged.plist /System/Library/LaunchDaemons.Disabled/com.apple.corestorage.corestoraged.plist

  .. .moving again sorted it all out...

  I saw wording like this before, and I don't think it's anything to worry about. I don't know why Adobe chose these specific words, that your changes are certainly editable after the move.
