igfxext module has stopped working message is displayed at the start of Windows 7.  What is this and how can I fix?

    Hi Bob Bala.

Thanks for asking this question to Microsoft Community!

As I understand it you receive a startup message all to connect to the computer.

He would be grateful if you can answer these questions to help you further.

    1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
    2. What is the brand and model of your computer?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

You can try to check if the problem occurs in safe mode and check if it helps.

    Method 2:

If the problem does not exist in Mode without failure, then try to put your computer in a clean boot state.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

Thanks for posting the results and let us know if you need help to solve the problem and we will be happy to help you.

SpeedBit is now uninstalled? (or you reinstall it?)

And the error report is yet to come, but only when you run Chrome?

I don't use Chrome much, so maybe it's not the case, but if you look at chrome Extensions or Plugins of chrome, have you a listed extension or plugin for SpeedBit (TBH I don't know yet if there is one--just a guess). If so, disable it.

or something in that sense - http://www.speedbit.com/dap-help/google-chrome-dap-download/ , in which case try remove (assuming you still have it).

  • 6 Lightroom Develop module has stopped working.

The module development suddenly stopped working. I use lightroom almost every day. I have imported a new group of photos into the library and went to develop as usual. I see the photo on the screen, as usual, but Ant changes that I do, like exposure, do not change the picture. I try to crop the photo and he disappears, replaced by solid gray. I'm a Nikon D600 raw photos editing. With the help of Windows 10. Yet once, I use it regularly. Don't make any changes to the system. Develop all of a sudden stopped doing anything.

This could be caused by a profile of defective screen, delivered by an update of Windows or installed during the upgrade of Windows 10.

You can set the monitor to sRGB profile, (temporarily) If this solves the problem, it is a confirmation that the profile is bad.

Then, you ideally calibrate your monitor with a standard material, which will create a new and accurate profile.

To set the monitor to sRGB profile:

Press the Windows key + R, type colorcpl, and then press ENTER.

Add the sRGB profile, and then set as default profile. See screenshot (from Windows 7) below.

Bought my HP Envy in January 2015 and received this error message at start-up. Read all the suggestions here, but was afraid to try to remove the drivers on my own. Instead, I used the HP support chat service. HP technician took the screen control (with my permission) and does all the work while I watched. It was a rather technical and complex challenge that took about 15 minutes, including two reboots. When the computer restarts, the technology was already ready to continue once completed starting. He has solved the problem, waited patiently for a start more to make sure that the error message disappeared and then proposed to call me 1 hour to see if everything was still OK. Cannot recommend this service enough.  Surpisingly good service of HP. It's my first HP because I always heard bad things about their service, but their obviouly working on fixing it. Not sure if this service is available only if your computer is not in the warranty. Maybe for a fee, but still worth it.

  • The ncs2prov Module has stopped working and closed.

This is the error message I get when I try to plug something into my USB port.  I am running Vista SP2 on a Dell Dimension 420 desktop computer and no one seems to know the answer other than restoing my computer.  My problem with this is if I restore my computer I know how this problem will never happen and what was the cause.  Anyone know what this error is and how it can be fixed?                                                                                                                                                                          LJ

    LJnNOLA,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

The module that gets the error is the Intel PROset for Windows Device Manager.  The error indicates that the module is corrupt.  File corruption can occur for different reasons, and most of the time you never know what caused it.  The trick is to repair or replace the damaged file and restore the system in working order.  Intel PROset is your network card.  Here is a link to the Intel web site where you can download a new driver for your network card.  Make sure that you download the one for your version of Vista.

    http://www.Intel.com/support/network/sb/CS-016041.htm

You must also run the Windows System File Checker to test all the other corrupt files:
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
Right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
At the command prompt, type the following line and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved.

If you follow the thread above, you can see what helped most of the people. Which solved the problem for me has been downloaded a specific driver. It wasn't the driver recommended by Dell in the downloads page. It was a different driver. Once I did it (and this is a large download!), I have not experienced the problem at all. Problem solvled.

I see, however, that Dell support has created a new Dell Support Center to download that supposedly fixes the problem (maybe, it contains the correct driver?). I have still the old Center of Support Dell, so I hesitate to change this, lest the mistake of the PC Module will reappear.

But for me, it's the driver. I have Windows 7 64 bit.
