  I just reinstalled the VMware tools without the vnetflt.sys driver and the problem resolved.

• How to activate the Hyper-V Server 2012 on Fusion 5?

  Dear members of the Forum,

  I have a Mac Pro early 2008 Intel Xeon, 16 GB under Snow Leopard and VMWare Fusion 5 installed, as well as a few virtual machines running perfectly. I decided to create a virtual computer that is running Windows Server 2012. The installation went well. However, when I tried to activate the Hyper-V technology I got in trouble.

  In the Virtual Machine settings > system settings > general: I chose "Hyper-V (not supported).

  In the processor and memory, I selected 4 cores, 4 GB and in advanced: enable applications to hypervisor...

  In other/advanced: the virtualization engine preferred: Intel VT - x with EFA

  and all the possible permutations of these selections. Nothing has worked.

  Error messages:

  Hyper-V cannot be installed. The processor has no virtualization required capabilities.

  Virtualized Intel VT-x/EPT is not supported on this platform.

  Preferred mode is unavailable. Using VT - x instead. This host does not support EFA.

  All this leads me to believe that my hardware configuration does not support the operation of computers virtual hyper-v in Fusion. According to your philosophy, we can consider this to be a reality: everything is always possible. However, what drives me nuts are guys on internet blogs, everybody saying he's working on their system! I would like to hear an authoritative voice if possible, or not.

  It is purely a matter of features of the CPU.  None of the processors that apple delivered in Early 2008 Mac Pro systems supports Extended Page Tables (EPT).  According to the list of the Mac Pro systems, the processor that you have will be E5462, E5472 or X 5482, as well as relevant on the (related) Intel Web site pages show no support for EFA everymac.com.

  Without EFA, we cannot virtualize VT - x.  In other words, the guest operating system cannot see and use virtualization assisted by material, although the merger itself will be able to make use of the hardware support of the functions of virtualization host to run the virtual machine: we can use VT - x, but cannot virtualize to make it available to a nested prompt.

  Hyper-V is entirely dependent on the hardware support for virtualization (VT - x for example), then it won't work as a guest nested in your configuration.

• Error SQL Server 2012

  I have install and when I try to run SQL Server Management Studio I get "Extension Shell isolated by Microsoft Visual Studio, cannot find one or more components.  Please reinstall the application. "This started to happen after I tried to install the beta for Visual Studio 11.  This installation has failed and I was not able to get SQL Server 2012 to work from.

  I uninstalled all the components of time version beta of Visual Studio 11 and all the SQL Server 2012 and reinstalled SQL Server 2012 and still the same error.

  Does anyone have an idea on which .dll, I need to come back?

• ColdFusion 9 on IIS Windows Server 2012 R2 8

  So I'm having all kinds of difficulties to get ColdFusion 9 to load the page administrator on 8 IIS in Windows Server R2 2012.  I saw CF 10 has this compatibility, but I was unable to find a matrix to Support CF 9.  Configuration Web tool cannot finish because there is a problem of compatibility, IIS, and when he tries to restart IIS process fails and indicates that IIS is version 8.x and the configuration tool is good for the 4.x, 5.x, 6.x and 7.x.  Someone had to do this again for a customer?  I am currently getting HTTP Error 503 Service unavailable. The service is unavailable.

  To elaborate on my previous answer, the problem with ColdFusion 9 on newer Windows operating system platforms is the JRUN/IIS connector.  Adobe isn't making updates on the connector to accommodate new platforms of OS (which would apply to the new Mac OSX and Linux platforms also).  10 ColdFusion and 11 now use Tomcat instead of JRUN, then they use a completely different connector for integration of web server.  The Tomcat connector will continue in regardless of the current version of ColdFusion is updated (at this point, it is 11 ColdFusion) as new OS platforms will be available.

  If you are running ColdFusion Enterprise 9 and no Standard, you might have another option: use a ColdFusion WAR to install on Tomcat.  I believe that Charlie Arehart and others have blogged about this.  There IIS/Tomcat open source connectors that can then be used to connect Tomcat to IIS (in fact, look in the connector with Railo/OpenBD).

  I have a Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2 running native IIS.

  The web server allows downloading files using just classic asp... no plug-ins or third-party add-ins.

  The two servers installed updates 09/12/2012 off the capacity of the web server to download files using classic asp. The base for the download method was created by freeaspupload.net, who has since disappeared.

  I rolled back these updates and downloading files works again.

  I can't be the only one stuck with a legacy application that needs this feature.

• Windows Server 2012 R2 RAS installation fails

  I have a box of R2 Essentials 2012 Server installed and running on a client site, but when you try to configure the VPN to the client I get an error.

  To refine the role which was originally at the failure, I started to install roles and features separately so that I could find what was causing the error. I installed IIS and a few other pieces, and when I got to the installation of the remote access feature that fails with the above error, I did some research on the web and found that the analysis tool windows update, so I ran the high command "DISM.exe Online/Cleanup-image /Restorehealth". Once this returned value: "operation restore completed successfully. Component store corruption has been fixed. The operation completed successfully. "I also found this point in the CBS, but there reported preview than no not found errors?

  

  Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get the installation completes successfully? And can anyone shed some light on why this occurred to avoid it in the future installs.

• BB 5.00 on Windows Server 2012

  I just set up a Server Windows Server 2012 and installed BB 5.00 to it.

  The installation went well and I was initially able to get the web page to display the main screen. When I click on one of the monitored items, he would meet a http404 error.

  I contacted support and they had me add all things IIS 6 management and check that I had the CGI/ISAPI restrictions and restart IIS and the BBServer. It corrected this problem.

  The second question I encounterd and didn't have to do it in 4.40 was I have edited and created a password for the file editcode, with a special character in it, and when I tried to change the configuration via the web page, it kept throwing an error.

  Well the fix for this was to add the NOTAMP to the seciong of the bbdef.cfg file RunOpt.

  Another discovery in v5.00 is that you must have if you plan to allow enable/disable ability has that you must edit and save the enadiscode with a password in it.

  If you are using Windows Server 2008 and higher (windows server 2012 in my case), you must explicitly create a rule in Windows Firewall incoming and outgoing for the TCP port 25 and port TCP 1984.
