• Impossible to move objects with the Selection tool

  So I just installed Illustrator CC, I have now on a trial license.  An hour ago, Illustrator suddenly began to refuse to move objects, while I'm in the selection tool.  I can move objects in the free transform.  I use shortcut keys a lot, so it's really slow me down.  I hit 'V' to click on and then move an object, and then it won't move. I get the error sound, but no dialog box appears to explain the error.

  Because I'm about to bite the bullet and start paying a hefty monthly fee for this program, at my trial runs out, that's enough aggravating circumstances.  Anyone has any ideas what can cause this?

  Looks like there could be a hidden modal dialog open. Hit the ESC key does nothing to release the objects?

  Our creative cloud has had some problems in the updates and I've installed illustrator again with the new version of the cc for 2014, but the rest of the problem.

  I found the solution! I begged the rep and the supervisor to help me, even if they are not (like a policy) support Surface Pro 3 because "it's a tablet" (LOL!-c' is still a laptop with a detachable keyboard). It's a necessary printer updated driver. That's all. Unfortunate as a broken printer driver my paperless work stream, but happy, it is fixed.

Again, the PC crashes when you try to play a game using the Nvidia graphics processor.

  My operating system is windows 10.

  Most of the error information I could find said it is a driver problem or I have a faulty video card. Any suggestion or help would be appreciated.

  Cerealkiddo on Nvidia forums has found a real solution to the problem.

  1. download MSI Afterburner.

  2. change the base to-13 clock and clock from memory to-15.

  3. save in a profile and apply the changes.

  Make sure you only keep afterburner running everything at stake.

  This is Underclocks not GPU slightly and stops the BSOD hangs.

  I played Skyrim for about 4 hours now maxed out graphic with map selected Nvidia and he collapsed once, while before this fix, it would break the pc after 2 minutes of play on any parameter using the nvidia card.

  Keep Afterburner running everything at stake. I turned it off to test and games went immediately to crashing after a few minutes of play. He turned back and was able to play games once again without any problems.

  Illustrator usually needs a printer. If none is there, install a PDF printer.

  You should consider at least two approaches.

  The following attempted to fix the problem.

  1. I tried to remove folder user profile settings and data from the program (Windows 7).
  2. Also, I reinstalled the VGA drivers.
  3. I uninstalled the creative Cloud platform and all of its components (Photoshop and Illustrator).
  4. Then I updated Windows with all the latest updates and I reinstalled the creative cloud with all updates.

  The problem still exists. I need your help.

  Finally, I installed a newer version of the VGA drivers and the problem resolved!

  I just posted on this forum a problem of not being able to print. It is a different problem (although maybe they are related).

  There is a file created in Illustrator CS2 (I think) a couple of years.

  I am able to open the file in CS5 Illy without any problem and edit.

  But as soon as I try to save the file (even without having made any changes), Illustrator crashes. There even insofar as the record dialog box options, it just hangs.

  There is no text in this file - it's just 15 images embedded with a small 3d extrusion.

  I use version Middle East CS5.0.1 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

  If any file you try to save crashes constantly, then take a look at what printer you have selected and choose a different printer or update the .ppd for your printer.

  Otherwise try to reset your preferences by pressing Shift Ctrl alt immediately after the start of Illustrator
