  We have published a fix today that solves this problem of corrupted preferences. Go to the creative cloud application and download the patch CC 20151.1 (19.1.1)

  If you see not the patch in the creative Cloud application wait on or refresh cycle you can disconnect and connect to force refresh the list of available patches.

  The following is a general list of things, try when the question is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by problems with opening a file from external media. You tried/made some of them already; 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

  If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

  4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you can find the file here:

  5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

  In order to get the functionality of buttons FN, you must install the Toshiba Value added Package.

• Problem of weird keyboard shortcuts

  I have several programs on my PC that allow me to set up keyboard shortcuts, for example, Screenshot Captor and Calendarscope. After a reinstall of Windows 7 64 bit, I wanted to put in place a couple of shortcuts in Calendarscope (CTRL + E for new events and CTRL + T for new tasks) but as soon as I try to add anything, the default shortcut CTRL + ALT + break. In the Screenshot Captor, I CTRL + Z put in place to capture a part defined by the user to the screen (which still works), but if I try to change this, the default shortcut is just "break", even if I don't have to change anything. The same for any other boxes of options shortcut in the preferences dialog for which I have not yet installed what either. It seems too coincidental that two programs that were previously working well now have started to exhibit this problem and I suspect that other programs on my PC that have this feature will also now be faulty, but I don't know where start diagnose this problem. Could someone advise me please?

  I found it! This is the option in my e-mail notifier flashing stop scroll. I uninstalled because I thought it was the program itself, but on the installation of Pop Peeper, it's the same thing. That's when I remembered that my original email notifier had warned potential problems if the activation of the scroll lock feature.

  Hi husbands,

  You may need to compare agaianst you integrated Windows 7 keyboard shortcuts, as there could be a conflict. Otherwise, I would do the following: -.

  1. go to Edition > keyboard shortcuts

  2. in the dialogue window, you will see a drop-down list labeled default Illustrator with a next button. Click on the button and create your own game.

  3. change the drop-down list labeled tools for Menu commands

  4 Twril Down the Menu object and locate hide them, you'll need this spin down as

  5. click on the X with the hotkey, then with the small empty field selected, choose your own combination of keys. You can be notified that the combination is used by another shortcut, you can work around this.

• Possible problem of keyboard shortcut? Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5881 w/vista

  When you play online FEAR2 through Steam after about an hour of playing my game, the screen will minimize everything suddenly when I try to move my character around the screen using the keys a, s, d, w.  It will then ask me what I'm trying to get on my hard drive and then open operated voice assistant!  I can't just maximize the screen and continue to play as it goes back to the search.  If I restart my laptop so I can go back and play my game for about 15 minutes, but the same thing happens again.  What happened to my beloved laptop?  I accidentally something wrong?

  It probably won't, but you can try: press SHIFT five times (keys to sticky window appear) > go to the easy access Center to disable keyboard shortcuts > uncheck turn on sticky keys when SHIFT is pressed five had > OK

• Problems with keyboard shortcut

  I've updated my Mac and everything was fine until I had to restart it. My Photoshop keyboard shortcut became just random like this:

• Problems with tool keyboard shortcuts

  The keyboard shortcuts in my working tool from one tool to the other, but not to switch between this class of tool (for intstance: using 'L' that allows you to switch between magnetic lasso, polygonal lasso, and leaving). Anyone know why and how to remedy?  (I use a Mac OSX, if that's relevant).

• Customization of keyboard shortcuts disables other strikes!

  I have long been a big fan of customize my keyboard shortcuts. In general, I'll change the behavior of F of my keyboard keys in the system prefs to turn them over to 'standard keys. This then releases lots of F keys as a convenient "one-hit" shortcuts, currently unemployed in indesign (starting at 8 and with keyboard also extended F13 F1). PS these gadgets of crazy BONES F keys are still accessible by pressing the "fn".

  However every BONE out these shortcuts cause other functions misbehave and the only way I found to get them back was to stick to the 'failure' keyboard value. I have not though, as I've learned to live with the few that arise.

  Example: Running on OS 10.6.8 CS5.5 (my working configuration)

  The most annoying one... Every time that you run a command that launches a pop-up palette such as Transform/Scale, usually you enter an amount and press return. Well, when you have your own shortcuts running, everything that happens is the 'return' is no add a 'space' in this entry field. To remedy this, you will have to physically click on the OK"" button. Annoying, but not a deal breaker!

  BUT my new home configuration is CS3 on 10.10.2 - I know that these two are a few years apart, but they work together again (even after a fragile start with Illustrator - another story!)

  So with this setup I find many keys on my extended keyboard is functionless when my custom shortcuts are to play, for example the 4 arrow keys - really useful for the differential movements. So I'm currently flashing back and forth between my shortcuts and default--FAR FROM IDEAL. I came to the conclusion that the keyboard shortcuts are quickly becoming obsolete and I may have to relearn the game by default.

  Does anyone have a solution so I can keep my shortcuts, sharpened more than 14 years of using Indesign?

However I'm trying to change the opacity of some letters in a sequence, and there are many of them. I have a keyboard shortcut for the opacity, but it can only be mapped to keys.   I'm not being sarcastic or rude but you eventaully will need to read the help files or you'll be back on the forum for everything and it's not a good way to learn Illustrator.

  The action panel will allow you to perform certain tasks and then save them as an action and even assign a keyboard shortcut to this action. You mean resize art selection and rotate a certain number of degrees. Wel you start recording by selecting new Action in the drop of the panle action is the action panel read on registration of the shares in the help files.

  

• Keyboard shortcuts for the screen saver does not

  When upgrading to Mac OS Sierra, the hotkey to put the screen in sleep mode (control - shift - (power or Media Eject button )) has stopped working. As I use this command several times a day and don't know not of any other way to put the screen in sleep mode, it's one of the few reasons why I consider really return to El Capitan.

  Thanks for posting in the Community Support from Apple! I understand that you are having problems with the keyboard shortcut to put your display to sleep. It is certainly a handy to use feature and I'm happy to offer some suggestions to help.

  The first thing that I recommend you try safe mode connects. This will clear the caches and conduct audits at your connection. Here you can find the steps for safe mode:

  I also recommend you test this in a test on your Mac user account. There may be software or a specific file of the user that generated problems with your shortcut.

  Everything else is transferred in my settings (for example, my keyboards are installed, my emoji frequently used are the same, my bluetooth connections are all there, etc.) except this.

  I went from literally a thousand + text to replace default "omw" replacement (on my way!).

  I tried to turn on and off road iCloud (although tech said the keyboard shortcuts are stored in the local backup not the cloud) and restart the phone, which is something that I found online. It does not work.

  Same thing here. Did not have that much (maybe 20 or more), but now all that remains is the shortcut of Omw.
