  Greetings

  After nearly 40 years, using Windows, I ordered an iMac 27 "(renovated)."  I had an Apple II at the end of the 1970s beginning in the 1980s and had an iPhone 4 and still have an iPad 2, but my office has always been a windows box.  So I'm really a newbie on the Mac.  My main job is as an image maker and photographer, using Adobe products. I am become familiar with the software and the new terms and had a few questions.

  My Windows workstation had 4 screens and would like to have 3 screens, on the iMac.  I understand the port Thunderbolt is what I would use, but don't know if I should get some sort of converter hub and put a Thunderbolt port or run each monitor on its own Port. I don't know, what other material may be used on the stroke, if you want advice from other users.  Even if my PC monitors are near the resolution of the iMac, and most of my image work will be done on the main screen, other screens will be used for e-mail, research on the web and others.

  I also use a mouse from the ball on my PC (usb) and I was wondering if it will work on the material of the iMac.  I have a little of magic, as seems to be quite an easy and intuitive interface.

  In any case, I'm sure it's frustrating for users of long-time Mac products to meet a beginner, but advice, links or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  You can use any external screen mini display port. Plug the cable from port mini display on the Thunderbolt on Mac ports, and then you're in business. Connection of external monitors an iMac is extremely simple to do. Apple explains in OS x: how to use several displays with your Mac in Lion mountain and even before - Apple Support. Although this letter of advice is a bit outdated, it should still work properly with your new iMac.

  Insofar as your new magic Track Pad, it may take a little 'getting used to' However, after a week or two, you will get the hang of it. You can find the gestures to use multi-touch on your Mac - Apple Support useful too.

• I followed all THE instructions! Still can't activate Java? (I'm not a newbie)

  2 months ago, I saw all the news about JAVA security issues. I disabled it - now I need. I downloaded the jre with Oracle 7. Their tool check says unable to verify java on my system. I lived many suggestions of firefox - still nothing. It appears even in my modules or plug-ins. What Miss me? I am applied pretty computer - not a newbie - but not a tech either. Anyone?

  Do you remember how you disabled? There is a tab in the Java Panel which does not appear in one of your browsers. If you out there, you will probably have to return to the control panel and turn it here first.

• Profile of Newbie Xcode provision of the question and problem recording peripheral Dev Member Center

  Help!  I am a user of Xcode newbie. Just signed up for a developer account (free version added to my existing Apple ID).   I followed a tutorial to make a few changes to the Apple TV 4. In the tutorials that seem very useful do not have additional info for potential problems as those I seem to face at every turn. As far as google can be useful, it can also be a time suck empty soul.  I have a life to live then all help to speed up the answers to these questions would be greatly appreciated.

  -Launch Xcode → click on create a new project in Xcode → select Application under tvOS → Application unique view, and then click Next. Fact

  - In the product name field, enter a unique name such as KodiAppleTVforYourNameHere (done, but I have a problem I can not find the answer to...), and then click Next → create

  The 'organization' identifier is empty and I do not know what to enter and the tutorial says nothing...

  I get a "no provisioning profiles found.

  Then I went to the Member Center and can not find the place where to save a device... nor can I find detailed (for a novice like me) instructions on how to do it.  I tried to follow these instructions, but had problems as shown below.

  1. go to Developer.apple.com...

  2. go in the "Member Center". (This is not an option that I see...)

  

  3. go in "Certificates, identifiers & profiles." (Went straight to this...)

  4 Select "Devices" on the left navigation. (nowhere to be found... and am stuck here...)

  

  .... 5. click on the sign "+" to add a device.

  .... 6. enter a name for the device and the UDID.

  .... 7. at the bottom of the page, select continue when you are finished.

  .... 8. at the bottom of the page, choose "Save" to save the new device. Repeat these steps to add up to 100 devices on a regular account.

  These steps seem easy enough, but I continue to find myself in a position that some things I should do just are not there... like the devices section not found in the center of development Member?

  Help or direction would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

• newbie Y560P laptop questions

  Lenovo forums are very informative and I looked for answers to my questions and have found some but not all. I recently (St Patty's day) ordered an ideapad y560P. I should have asked these questions before buying but there was an e-coupon deal that ends the day of St patty, I had wanted a laptop pretty advanced for a while so I jumped. Life is not perfect!

  1. a clean install of windows is possible with recovery disks that Lenovo provides? If this is not the case, what is the best way to do it?

  2. the Y560P can fully utilyze the new SATA 3 SSD as boot drive? Void the warranty?

  3. wait for Lenovo to ship my laptop until the Sandy Bridge sata port questions/reminder are developed?

  4. someone here successfully using imaging software (like Acronis true image} on their laptops?)

  Hey, I'll do my best to respond to these:

  (1) actually, no discs are technically provided by Lenovo. Your system comes with a separate, partition that contains a recovery image. That being said, you can create a set of recovery disks by running their usefulness (comes pre-installed). When you use these disks, it basically as a duplication process. So yes, you can do a clean install, if you think it their image pre-built a clean installation

  (2) not sure about the 3 SATA drives, but drives does not cancel your comprehensive guarantee. I would always keep the original drive where the system needs to be sent, but I think that the RAM and CPU are considered as 'evolutionary customer options' and are therefore not guarantee-killers.

  (3) from what I've read, Lenovo has already stopped the lines with questions of Sandy Bridge. None of these units should be delivery to consumers. If I remember correctly, it only affected some of the i7 lines. If you have concerns, you can always call Lenovo with your serial number, and they can check if the unit is affected. However, Lenovo has been very quick to fix this, I just couldn't see their shipping defective units known to customers.

  (4) Acronis and Ghost work quite well, assuming it is a standard drive. I could not find any problems with people using either a product on the readers of the so-called "hybrid".

• Newbie... of the problems printing coupons, recipes, etc. of the laptop.

I try to print the recipes, coupons, printable and digital from my laptop to my printer wireless HP 8610.  He wants to 'save' docment, and then won't print.  Previously, had many 'PF' files recorded on the document in adobe reader. However, print these documents.  I can print ok so strictly Web pages though.

  Why do I have so many problems?  I had a former computer expert tell me 'I know just enough about the operation of the computer to be dangerous. "

  Ineed real help and, you know, no manual comes with this new printer (HP OfficeJet Pro 8610.  Wants a novice operator unfamiliar happen written help?  The online help is worse than having a paper copy.

• Newbie question: can a LabView script or exe run on a Web server and interact with PHP?

  Hi all

  I am a complete newbie. I had to have an existing LabView project and have been asking if it can work with a PHP Web site. I would like to be able to create a form (for entry) on a Web page, and then go this LabView project entry existing. The existing LabView project then treats the input and generates a text file that the user wants to download from the site.

  So my question is, is it possible? If so, how to configure it and what products/costs might be involved?

  Hi Andy -.

  There are a few limitations "Remote panels" who probably will not do what you are trying to do as possible.  First, the remote panels have only runs on a Server Web of LabVIEW, and this server does not support PHP.  Integrate a web site that uses a web server with more features of LabVIEW is to put the server on a different port and then use an iFrame or something to integrate LabVIEW remote panel page into your own web site.  Communication back will probably have to use another protocol tansportation or to read and write files that they read and write.

  I highly recommend that you look in another function to LabVIEW, called "Web Services".  These are quite a bit different approach of the remote control and are available only on version 8.6 and later (and probably only editions of developers).  Services Web of LabVIEW allows you to perform a LabVIEW program (or modify an existing one) to connect back using XML.  It is a common place to consume and send commands to a Web Service of LabVIEW by using something like PHP or Flash.  However, you are responsible to provide interfacing features in the language that you use that consume the Web Service of LabVIEW.  For example, instead of a graphic on the front, you would need graphical data output and a PHP program that can do something with it.

  Web Services are quite handy if you need a 'light' client, as well as material interaction features of LabVIEW.

  Well, no, actually, I talked to someone at Microsoft and he discovered for me. The answer is the keyboard on the top right of my keyboard and the third button on the end. Worked like magic.     Thanks again!

• Newbie! With not so new tablet...

  Hey guys, I recently bought a 2ndhand Iconica W510 from someone who said that it's barely a year and used only a few times - and since he had no power cord, he could not make his files on it. I ended up buying one, but as I've gotten from him was a Tablet and a case - should there be any other equipment which was supposed to come with it, like discs etc.?

  Once I have send photos and documents back, what do I do then? He wants me to restore back, but otherwise not knowing exactly how (am a geek, but never handled before Win8 feels so strange to say the least), I'm actually able to 'restore' the Tablet without wiping the software bundled with it - Microsoft Word etc etc? I got the idea to just create my own user profile and delete sound, although I suspect that's not the best idea.

  I also seem to be fighting find a PDF manual mere membership in this particular model, so am in the dark a little bit. Not to mention decorum being quite irritation, power cable because it is course that was not cheap and I like being able to reload most of my stuff using common Chargers - microUSB for example

  Welcome to the forum, Newbie.  I have the W4 and if Acer on the same programs, then when you view the full boot menu (by sliding upwards from the bottom) and look over the second series apps listed in alphabetical order and programs, there is an Acer listing with one of the programs being 'Acer Recovery Management.'  The first option, "Restore factory settings" will replace as the day, for the first time out of the box.

  This will / should give MS Office, but in a ready to activate"" State.  In the original box was a license number Office used to activate (free for the first year).  Speaking of the box, the W4 had only the Tablet, charger - USB. MicorUSB cord and a couple of quick start manual.

  Oh, in this same Acer list on the start menu should be "Acer Manual of use."  On my W4 it is 2 pages long, but on the second page is a link to the full manual 59 pages open or download in PDF format.

  IF you are afraid of losing the MS Office license, then you might try Microsoft recovery option "refresh your PC without affecting your files.

  Regarding the creation of a user account for you and the deletion of the other person, make sure you that yours has full administrator rights after starting in it.  If the account else seems to Windows as "The Grand Director", Windows won't let you delete, in any case.

  What product to buy to extend the reach of my WAG160N wireless router?  Am I limited to Cisco products or bridge/Repeater of another manufacturer would work?

  I the main connection in a garage renovated (at the forward end of the House) at the bottom and unfortunately the signal falls severely on the floor and the back of the House there are some walls of concrete between the two.  The intensity of the signal in the children and the main rooms are not reliable and therefore acts of procedure of the family to "do something, Dad!"

  I have the possibility of a connection to local network of WAG160N, through the wall of a Repeater.  If so, what would be the most logical and hassle-free purchase (Cisco or otherwise)?

  Needs:

  I have an Optiplex 390 and I need to upgrade the video card. I am visually disabled and need to upgrade to run special software correctly. Someone recommended the

  GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express. I'm a little nervous going into the bowels of this machine, but I noticed that it needed 400 watts. Looking at the online manual this unit is only 25 watts said... I'm missing something. I think that this card just plug.

  Your computer will support any PCI Express x 16 graphics card and the system has 265 Watt power supply (PSU). So, when buying the graphics card, you will need to upgrade the power supply on the system.

• CVP newbie on routing questions

  Hello, newbie here in CVP. Got a deployment with UCCE/CVP 9 X and Conn CUCM/Unit 9 X. No Sip Proxy and the current context we have to route calls to CUCM prior routing to ICM/CVP. I know that's not the best Setup, but there is no budget to spend more managers to call for UnityC to CIM at this stage so all calls will be pretty closely from before CUCM hit ICM. That said, I'm getting conflicting information about how to configure routing. Probably more too read things. From my tests, I need 2 PIMS on every PG to cover both CVP servers which means I need 2 labels VRU to account for each customer routing of the CVP (ie. 121212 and 131313)? I have heard however I need one but my call routing will fail if it is not 2. Is this correct? If this is the case, how ICM knows what CVP VRU label to use when a call is initiated of CUCM to ICM? And how is that redundant PVC without proxy SIP or DNS Srv? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
