  Hello Forum,

  I just updated my Imac 2011 and bought a newer Imac 2015 and I forgot it doesn't have a DVD/CD player.  Question I'm looking for recommendations on what to buy to be able to burn DVDs, play, DVD and CD.  I have customers who still use the DVD and need to burn and create menus that I am probably able to do with DVD Studio Pro?

  Apple sells an external USB optical drive specifically for use with models that do not come with an optical drive. You will find in the store.

  Problem: My early 2015 retina 13 '' Macbook pro intermittently "latch" on a wifi network in my house.  Which means, if I'm on my 2.4 GHz network, it works very well and then randomly - while remaining always connected to the wifi network - will lose its ability to connect what be it for 30 seconds to 1 minute. This occurs every 5-10 minutes. If I go to my 5 GHz connection, it works very well for 5-10 minutes. I keep having to switch back so that it could respond more quickly, or let them hang for a minute until he figures it by itself.

  Meanwhile, I can connect with my iPhone, Windows laptop, Xbox, computer, etc. without any problems. If I take my macbook in wifi areas, I have never run into this issue. I don't really know what to do, and faced with the conclusion this problem online - as it is a very specific set of variables causing problems.

  Please see recommended settings of WiFi routers and access Apple points.

  Despite these recommendations, some routers will work better with the latest Mac models if you turn the radio 2.4 GHz mode in settings and only use the 5 GHz. Note, however, that very old devices Apple and some third-party devices can then not connect at all.

  Some third party routers have advanced that you may need to change the settings:

  The encryption algorithm must be AES.

  The group key interval must be 3200.

  I can't give you specific instructions on how to change these settings, because all routers are different. Refer to the documentation for the provider.

  I just bought a brand new Pro 13 "2015 retina display laptop McBook.

  I noticed that the battery life is very short and the battery dies after only 3 hours.

  As far as I know that I already stop eating apps power, lowered the brightness screen, completely off the keyboard lighting and so on.

  Yet when I watch a film or work with a simple application, such as the Photo app or watch a movie, the battery dies after only 3 hours.

  On the Apple site that I learned to see that battery life lasts up to 10 hours.

  What should I do next? IV ' e has already checked the battery with the alt key and press the battery logo, but the mac indicates that the battery is quite good.

  Some tips before you go back to the shop? What should I do?

  Whenever he finishes a full charge, it's a cycle.  If you charge 70% one day, then 30% another day, it's a cycle.

  Here you have the requirements of Lightroom CC-> https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/system-requirements.html as you can see, it works with OS X El Capitan, so you should not have any problem using it in your MacBook.

  If you are worried about Retina display support, it is supported, worry is not on this topic.

  Looks like a useless trip causing me a lot of trouble.  Here in Singapore the authorized Apple

  Service centers will not install the missing beam. Does anyone have a solution to this dilemma?

  What gave you thought that 2015 iMacs have been evolutionary or even expandable user by could be held? Apple never said they were, and as far as I know nobody has attempted to install an additional SATA device inside one. I think you should drop the idea and if you use external devices connected via Thunderbolt.

  I've been a long-time Apple user.  I have iMac, iPads, iPhones and iPods.  Products of very good quality.  Unfortunately, we bought a new iMac with 27 "screen Retina 5 K 2015 this last year.  I had several problems with it since day 1.  It is slower than *!  Our old iMac 2009 that I used every day and that you reach queues on is much faster and more smooth and never freezes or stops unexpectedly this new genre.  They are so intermittent spinning wheels, I had to go back to my old iMac 2009 to make my deadline of graphic design.

  I talked to several people on the team of Apple Support with no resolution.  I tried to get back to individuals within the support team with no luck.  They don't answer my emails.  Finally, (against the advice of the Apple Tech) I took the device in a repair store Apple an hour's drive from home.  They had it for a week and did several checks on it and said that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the hardware or software.

  So that's how a computer $1700 is supposed to run!  I asked if I could buy more memory or something to make this thing to perform as it should, and they told me memory will not make a difference at all.  Current memory should be sufficient.  I agree, my 2009 model has less performance.

  Yesterday I finally had enough and called again to talk to someone about a possible exchange for a model later that performs, but they told us that we do not meet the criteria for a replacement.  He said he could talk to someone and get back to me in 15 minutes.  Never called back!

  Ridiculous freaking way they gave me the run around.  Waiting for my 1 year warranty to run out.

  What really * me off look on these forums and others with the exact people with the same problems.  When they put their question and ask for a resolution get on here Mac geeks and shoot them down.  They act as if we should expect to spend hours on the phone with technical support and execution of diagnostic controls because we are computer illiterate.

  I work with computers all day.  I'm not a computer whizz, nor do I want to be.  But I know a little something about how they are supposed to perform.  I am far from years of the PC because of the speed of train, freezing, and unexpected stops, but if Apple will start to update in the same, why stay with them?  It certainly won't be for their helpfulness and willingness to stand behind their products!

  I agree that this is not normal. This will be a problem, but if you want it to run properly, you must do the following.

  Contact the Apple Support using the following number:

  When you get a technician on the phone to tell him that you have contacted support on many previous occasions, and the problem persists. Tell them you want to CLIMB the service call and want to speak to a supervisor. Hold him and insist on speaking to a supervisor. Most likely the supervisor will call you back so make sure you get a Service call number. If he or she does not call you back wait a day and use this Service identification number and call back them. Be persistent, don't be rude just be firm and persistent. When you get a supervisor tell them you don't have an Apple Store in your area and because of your current problems that you want to ship the iMac for repairs. Once more hold him until you get a Service return authorization and the authorization and address to ship the iMac at the back. He should come back as new with all the software erased and reinstalled then copy all the files that you need out of it before sending it back.
