iMac ceases to recognize WiFi networks at random
In recent weeks, our iMAC ceased to recognize WiFi networks at random. We will use Safari or Chrome and suddenly the taskbar will specify "resolving host" and internet connection will be lost. Within 2-3 minutes, all the WiFi networks that were previously seen in Network preferences will disappear. If restart us the iMAC, the WiFi network will work very well for 15-30 minutes, then it will be happening everywhere. It is frustrating to have to restart the Mac frequently! What is also very ironic, is that when WiFi networks disappear for the iMac, our iPhones (2), the iPad and laptops (Dell and HP) always recognize wifi networks. Spoke to the Apple support and made us go to El Capitan, instead to call again, I thought that I would try this community.
Here is our contact information for operating system and the actions we have taken so far. Would be grateful to anyone who helps solve this problem.
Operational details:
- El Capitan - OS10.11.5
- iMac (27-inch, mid 2010)
- 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3
- Processor: 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
- 807 GB 1 TB storage is free
- 2 WiFi networks available through DirectTV / AT & T 2.4 G with 5.0 G available
- I don't have an Ethernet cable plug near this iMac
When he saw this problem, I tried the following solution:
- Reboot, obviously works but annoying and not a systemic solution
- Network preferences > > turn off WiFi and then turn it back on
- Create the new location and reconnect to WiFi networks
- Previously on Yosemite and recently upgraded to El Capitan, did not work
- Remove the preferences.plist, the network.identification.plist, the message files - draw .plist hoping to empty cache network
- DHCP has changed IP manual and additional figures added to the final figure of IP address on the IP address of my iPhone
- Changed automatic DNS server to direct DNS server from Google
- Renewed DHCP lease
No chance until then wouldn't like anyone's support there!
Thank you

How do force you a T410 to recognize wifi networks?
How do force you a T410 to recognize wifi networks?
I have a t410 that my company has released me. Works fine at the office on a wired network. But I can't take anywhere and use wifi. The only network he displays when you click the network icon in the status bar is Verizon Wireless (which is not the same configuration in our laptops).
When you click on network and sharing Center, and then manage wireless networks, all networks wifi, I need to use are here. But it won't recognize them. They are all configured properly.
BTW, with my Macbook Air adjacent to the T410 and connects to my wifi network instantly. Network plug from your cell phone, both are set up the same.
Our it guy says I should remove and reconfigure each network. It does not help.
Any suggestions?
After the validation I continued searching this forum for an answer to my problem. I found an old post on the t410 turn off random wireless connectivity. It does this without any notice. The hotfix that is described in this post is not applicable to the version (current?) of Thinkvantage on my new Lenovo.
Here's the message I think solved the problem:

I have 2 imacs and a laptop computer and you want to back up all three wireless via time capsule on my existing wifi network. If we can also use the time capsule as my wifi and replace my uverse wifi, that would be great. possible?
If you want to make sure that you will be able to get the Apple support in case of problems or questions with your backups, you must use the wireless Time Capsule to back up your Mac.
As long as the time Capsule provides a wireless signal, you can decide who to your 'main' network, then use it wireless Uverse for "guest", or children. If you do not need the Uverse router/modem wireless at all, it is possible to turn off wireless on the device and make it work only as a support modem/router...with Uverse wired.
At this point, you can start thinking about how you want to configure things and get back in touch if you need some advice on how to do it. We need to know what operating system that uses the Mac that you normally use to administer the time Capsule, provide good instructions, if you need it.

Belkins wireless adapter recognizes not all wifi networks
I have a Belkins wireless adapter for my pc and try to connect to a wireless network. My adapter recognizes not all wifi networks and I know that there is on the functioning of the House. How can I fix it?
Laptop? If you know that there is a wireless network in your home because the other computers are connected to him, the most likely cause is that the wireless adapter is disabled (a physical switch or a combination of keys Fn + Fkey).
For additional help, please indicate the make and model of your computer (and your wireless adapter, if it is not integrated), as well as the version of Windows you have, including the service pack.

Office jet 6500Aplus: Office jet has ceased to recognize network
All of a sudden... out of the blue... my printer does not recognize my net work. He tells me that my password is wrong and it is not. All devices recognize the network... it happened all of a sudden. Unplugged. Plugged. DON'T tell me to reset my router! If everything works fine it must be a printer problem.

Why the Personal Hotspot from my mobile phone appears in my list of list wifi networks if it is disabled on my phone?
On my iMac, there is an icon for a list of available to join Wifi networks.
One of these Wifi networks is my iPhone Personal Hotspot.
However when I look at my setup on my iPhone Personal Hotspot is off.
I tried to join the Hotspot to my iMac and put.
This is part of a feature called Hotspot instantly. It allows you to connect to your personal hotspot without your password or activate the hotspot on your phone. Don't worry, this does not allow other people to access your hotspot, only devices using the same identifier Apple will see your hotspot. This feature is not using any extra battery life when you're not connected to it. You can learn more about instant Hotspot here: OS X Yosemite: connect to the Internet using instant Hotspot

My early 2015 retina 13 '' Macbook pro intermittently "hang" on a wifi network in my house
Problem: My early 2015 retina 13 '' Macbook pro intermittently "latch" on a wifi network in my house. Which means, if I'm on my 2.4 GHz network, it works very well and then randomly - while remaining always connected to the wifi network - will lose its ability to connect what be it for 30 seconds to 1 minute. This occurs every 5-10 minutes. If I go to my 5 GHz connection, it works very well for 5-10 minutes. I keep having to switch back so that it could respond more quickly, or let them hang for a minute until he figures it by itself.
Meanwhile, I can connect with my iPhone, Windows laptop, Xbox, computer, etc. without any problems. If I take my macbook in wifi areas, I have never run into this issue. I don't really know what to do, and faced with the conclusion this problem online - as it is a very specific set of variables causing problems.
Please see recommended settings of WiFi routers and access Apple points.
Despite these recommendations, some routers will work better with the latest Mac models if you turn the radio 2.4 GHz mode in settings and only use the 5 GHz. Note, however, that very old devices Apple and some third-party devices can then not connect at all.
Some third party routers have advanced that you may need to change the settings:
The encryption algorithm must be AES.
The group key interval must be 3200.
I can't give you specific instructions on how to change these settings, because all routers are different. Refer to the documentation for the provider.

My iPad keeps disconnecting my wifi network
My iPad 32 gigabit wifi with iOS 9.3.1 Pro keeps on disconnecting from my wifi network. From time to time I connect it disconnects just randomly and sometimes it makes me even to make the password again. I don't think it happens by other networks, but I don't know because I don't really bring my iPad too. Please help me fast! Thank YOU, a proud lover of Apple Inc..
This started to happen to me recently too, I have the iPad Pro for about a month. It may be the 9.3.1. Update. It's apparently only happening on my home network and my Netgear R7500 (the worst tech purchase I made) is notoriously bad on the network of 5 GHz because of the chip Quantenna barely supported, which was abandoned by Netgear, shortly after the release, and as soon as they could they have released a R7500v2 with another type of chip for the 5 GHz band.
So, I don't know who is to blame, it's probably a combination of both. I also have problems with this router and my Nexus 6 p, but apparently not with my other devices (iPad, iPod Touch gen mini retina 6, iPhone SE and Nexus devices). The difference with disconnects on the N6P is the phone disconnects and reconnects, the iPad Pro reconnect and exactly like you, sometimes it asks for the password again.

I want access to WiFi networks.

Concerning
NevzatHello
If Windows recognizes a WiFi network, you can access and normally you will need a password. If you know this, you have access to the network.
More WIFI must be activated with the WiFi switch on the laptop and pressing FN + F8.To do this, it of not necessary to install a driver but if you need a driver, you can find it on the Toshiba site.
I think you should look in the user manual. Here you can a lot of information on your computer laptop and information how to access a WiFi network.
Sometimes it s very useful user manual.Welcome them

HP Media Center PC unable to acess wifi networks
I recently moved and just unpacked my HP Media Center PC desktop computer that is running Windows Vista.
I have 2 other computers running on my network wifi with no problem, one Mac and a PC. For some reason, it seems that on the HP Media Center PC wireless LAN is not working. He cannot recognize all networks in my building, and I know that there is a lot of range, including the one that set up for the apartment.
Is it possible to toggle the wifi on the desktop? What can I do to check/fix/activate? I googled had a ton of stuff, none of which seemed to work.
Thank you!
Hello mattyg12, as I see it, the wireless card requires and external antena, as mentioned in the book loads.
I've never seen a without an external antena internal wireless card, but there may be some.
The built-in wireless adapter may have worked at your other place without external antena, if the computer was close to the wireless router. The wireless signal would be greatly reduced without external antena.
You can buy these antenas from many sources at a reasonable price if you do not find one that should have been shipped with your system.
You can also buy a wiresless USB adapter that fits simply into an available USB port. I have used many of them, and they work great.
I don't think that you will never get the wireless computer to connect to the router or another device like a USB adapter wireless wireless wireless without the antena.
If you go with the USB adapter, you will need to enter the Device Manager and disable the current wireless (the one without the antena) device so it would not conflict with a USB wireless adapter.
I hope this helps.

Satellite A200 Win8 64bits - Atheros AR5006EX disconnects from the network at random
First of all, sorry for my bad English.
Hi, I installed W8 a few weeks ago and I have a problem with the WiFi. The adapter disconnects from the network at random. Not a protocol TCP/IP fail because I don't lose the connection to the internet, I lose the connection to the network for everyone.
Simply disconnected from any wifi network.I have read that wifi chips Qualcomm have problems with drivers in W8. I tested many pilots and all do not work properly.
Any help?
The wifi card is: Qualcomm atheros AR5006EX and the laptop is: Toshiba satellite A200-1TP.
Drivers I tested (and didn't work):
http://drivers.Softpedia.com/get/network-card/Atheros/Atheros-AR5006EX-WLAN-driver-300119-for-Windows-8-x64.shtml
Thank you!
Do you have these problems with the operating system supported?
I mean A200 is pretty old machine and certainly not supported for Win8, so it can be a problem with all of this, especially with the drivers.Let's see if someone else has the same machine and have the solution to this.

Using a Time Capsule airport on a new wifi network
I'm trying to connect my TC Airport to a new wifi network to another location. It worked very well at the original location, used to extend an existing network of wifi, connected to the router via an Ethernet cable. In the new location, I'd rather have a wireless connection. I have tried several times to do a factory reset full and then I see the TC from the airport using the Airport utility, but it does not put in place to extend the wifi network my iMac is on (he sees a nearby network as well). I just simply want to configure my TC from the airport most convenient to save my iMac! Any ideas? Thank you!
The TC must either connect to wireless to another router from apple... or it must be connected by ethernet... he can't extend wireless any other brand.
If all of the TC is to is to make backups of iMac... Plug it directly by ethernet on the iMac... and use this configuration.
Time Capsule using wired for Mac for backup only.
If you want to have as part of the network... plug in ethernet on the main router... and the backup more wireless... but it becomes a problem where the computer don't connect directly to the TC now.

Hello
This drop router often 2.4 or 5 GHz WIFI networks.
When this happens, none of my devices (5 of them, including IOS, Android, Windows and MacOS) can't see WIFI networks.
the 5 GHz range falls more often than the 2.4 but the 2.4.
They are never at the same time.
Finally, it is, randomly or if I reboot the router.I also noticed that I always see 2 networks of comments that I put in place. Those who never fail.
Wired connections also abound.
When I connect to the router config page (URL or via the application engineering) the router shows no errors. In the router settings section, the two WIFI seems to be shown as being active (there is a button refresh here, but I don't know what he does)
I already have RMA Router 1 times since last November, but the problem never went away.
I'm getting really disappointing with this brand now.
I hope that I'm not the only one in this situation and that Netgear will do something about it.
In the meantime, my brother wanted to buy a new router and I have already told him to stay away from Netgear.
Hi al59571,
Please see this article.
The router has 1 year hardware warranty for replacement from the date of purchase. You can check the support for this team.

Can I connect my HP4625 all in one directly on my ipad/iphone without using a wifi network. ?
Hi xxtopgunxx,
Welcome to the HP Support forums. I understand you want to print from your devices Apple to your printer Deskjet Ink Advantage 4625 without the printer is connected to a wireless network.
It is possible that we can get the printer to disseminate its own network. Please note that the network will broadcast the printer will not have access to the internet. Please follow the steps below:
- On the front panel of the printer, please press the wireless button
- By using the buttons on the right, highlight and select wireless settings
- Highlight and select Restore Defaults
- Select Yes. A message appears indicating that the default values of the network have been restored
- Open your application settings on your Apple device, please
- Please click on wifi and choose the network that starts with "HP-SETUP. This should connect to your Apple device to the printer
- Now you should be able to print using the 'Action' icon. If there is not a print option when you press the action icon following all guidelines for Apple AirPrint
If you go to print and your Apple device does not see the network, you will need to follow the procedure again. It should be at least 60 minutes before the HP - Setup network ceased broadcasting.
