• IMac, re - install El Capitan-wants to load on external drive

  Use slow this AM-reboot.  This opens to the Apple screen and the cursor moves right - about 3/4 and slows down.  It stops at 90%.  After 30 minutes, it move at the end and then the Imac white switch.  ??

  Did the same thing in safe mode.

  Try the Options mode now.  Thought I'd reinstall El Captan.  I have attached external USB which is bootable.  Options want to install El Captan to emphasise the main HD.

  Went BACK - and currently running disk utility... but he is stuck on the LOADING of DISK with the spinning wheel.  Been there a while.

  I made a Clone carbon copy about 4 days ago and have also two BU of Time Machine.

  This notification is displayed after removing the Flash drive by removing it from settings-> storage and pulling the OTG with the drive cable. The notification seems to be stubborn and it can not be erased it unless the device is reset. It isn't harmful, but because of my OCD (mandatory disorder that) for the verification of notifications is causing irritation.

  I notice that only KitKat 4.4.2 and not JellyBean 4.3.

  Any ideas to clear the notification? or is this a bug?

  You can follow the steps below and check if it helps.

  To remove an icon from the notification area:

  1. open properties of the Start Menu by clicking the Start button, clicking on Control Panel, appearance and personalization, and then clicking the taskbar and Start Menuand the taskbar.

  2. click on the tab Area of Notification , and then do one or both of the following:

  ·         To remove icons from the system, under the system icons, clear the check boxes of the icons you want to delete.

  ·         To remove the other icons, click Customize, click restore default icon behavior.

  3. click on applyand then click OK.

  Also delete the temp folder in the c: drive.
