iMac G5 (May 2005) with no OS installed; be filled of original discs.

An elderly parent somehow erased its iMac G5 20 "completely. It has the original OS that came with the computer disks. I want to reinstall the OS to the original disks but may not know how to do this. When I turn the machine on it beeps a few times, the screen stays black (with, of course, no OS). The installation DVD disc (1 of 2) does not remain in the slot. Only, I don't know how to reinstall. What am I missing, and what is the procedure in a situation like this?

If there are three or less beeps, either there is a problem with the RAM or the disc you are using is too old. Is there are four or more, the computer must be repaired.
