iMac, recommendations
You are looking for a S/H iMac that can display 1080 p on a desktop screen extended without removing the frames, and that output video and Audio over HDMI. Suggestions for version configuration, OS?
my mid 2011 21 "done what the hell the external monitor is used as primary monitor in the two el capitan and asus windows10 3d 27" monitor has a native resolution of 1080 p as the iMac, and I use it for games too in windows and osx

What App would you recommend to run virtual machines on an Imac?
I would try to have virtual machines running on my IMac, but I'm having a hard time finding any material on this topic from apple.
Ideally, I would like to my main x os to start and then simply turn a small virtual machines or containers from OSX.
Any recommendations? or articles about the support of Apple for such a thing?
There are three choices:
The first two are commercial products. The third is a free, open source. Three Parallels is the best.

Is it recommended to install anti virus on my new iMac?
New iMac, I wonder if it is recommended to install internet security software, as I have always done on PC?
# It is strongly recommended that you do not install any software that claims it will make you faster, safer, Mac clean or other such 'supposed' services. They are all scams intended to enrich their developers and cause problems on your Mac.

Internet Security recommended the new iMac?
I just bought a new iMac and does not see the suggested internet security applications. I used Webfoot on my Windows PC, but no one has mentioned get the software for the iMac. Is this necessary? Recommended?
You do not need or want third-party security software on a Mac because they do nothing useful and usually work against the operating system, and slow down your computer to a crawl. That said, you need to use safe computer practices of good sense. Do not click the pop ups, do not download anything from questionable sources, PAY ATTENTION to where you click, maintain the OS X to date and don't junk it upward with unnecessary third-party utilities that claim to speed up, tune up, optimize, protect, or clean your Mac.
This isn't windows... just say NO!

Can anyone recommend a suite on my iMac
I have an iMac 2011. running OS X Yosemite. I have pages, which is ok, but need a sheet of calculation/database App. Numbers, received bad reviews and that my Mac is old enough that I have to pay £14.99 to prefer to put the money toward something else. Can anyone recommend it please.
Numbers is not so bad, but you can always buy Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 and 2016. In addition there are free altrantives web based such as
FreeOffice
OpenOffice
LibreOffice4

I heard that SSDS are vulnerable to data loss / corruption in irregular situation (surges, outages, etc.) and that a UPS is strongly recommended. No one knows what might work best for an iMac 27 "2015 (late) with 1 TB SSD? Amazon best sellers are quite disparate. No. 1 is perhaps not strong enough. N ° 4 seems not to have the OS X compatible software. Being new to this kind of material I don't know what to look for and what would be better for my machine. It seems consume 240 W max.
In this regard: I read that store a SSD in hot weather can ruin the drive (or some dr. I considered turning off my computer when I'm away for the summer (in a non air-conditioned office which heat sometimes). I better let him run (sleeping)?
Thanks in advance.
A UPS is recommended as soon as you have an irregular situation. It does not matter if you have a hard drive, SSD, or something else.
240W is the max for the whole iMac.
Not sure where you hear your horror stories about SSD.

Recommendation of printer for iMac
I purchased an Epson Workforce 630 when I received my iMac about 5 years ago, based on the suggestions that Epson printers are more compatible with the iMac than other brands. While I was moderately pleased with it, the SCAN of the printer button did not for some time because of a "communication error" (I can still scan using the Epson application on my iMac) and now a red exclamation point to the icon of the printer when I print well it still prints very well thinking it's time for a replacement. I want a color printer to print/scan/copy for home use. Wireless is not necessary. The most recent message that I could find on this issue was Nov 2013 and suggested to go with a cheaper long-term laser printer. I am running ver El Capitan on an iMac 10.11.6 2011 mid with 2.7 Ghz Intel i5. Your suggestions will be certainly appreciated.
Over time, I have had Epson, Brother and currently Hewlett-Packard printers. In general they were all pretty equal in performance, reliability and cost, or consumables. I am currently using a printer HP4500 series, which works very well and has no problem serving two iMacs, 2 iPads and 2 iPhones. It has the advantage of having integrated Airprint which makes printing of the iDevices (if you have one) easy-peasy.

Can you recommend an external case for hard drive of my iMac?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

IOS 10.2 safety recommendation
I come home and my iPhone 6 s & iPad Pro have trouble connect to my router, Cisco (by ComCast).
I use iOS version 10.0.2.
Under settings > Wi - Fi > I get a new notice saying "safety recommendation".
Low security
WPA is not considered safe
Configure your router to use WPA2-Personal (AES) security type for this network.
This message does not appear on my Mackbook Pro (using the wireless) or on my iMac via Ethernet connection.
My router did change? Should Qwest reconfigure it?
10 iOS upgrade caused this difference?
If you use a router to older model, it can only use the WPA setting. As says the message configuration WPA is not sure the new security settings. I doubt that the router has changed or updated IOS 10 has changed. If your router does not have the new settings, I would recommend that you get a new more secure router. If the century link provided the router, yes they should replace it.

Is it possible to reinstall or reset the internal microphone of an iMac?
Some background information:
27 "iMac 5K (end of 2015) running OS X El Capitan (when the problem started), to give birth to Sierra of MacOS. Also have a Bootcamp with Windows installed 10 partition.
A month ago, when under OS X, I noticed the internal mic produced some static when you try to use it. Audio messages in voicemails would be static instead of my voice. The weird part? If I switched to Windows 10, the internal microphone works without any problem. I can ask questions of Cortana, I can record voice messages and they read without static electricity. In fact, no matter what I use the microphone internal to in Windows, it works perfectly.
Sierra of MacOS is out, so I hope that this update may be a BONE would settle the matter. Nope. Internal microphone still does not work on MacOS, but still works perfectly in Windows 10. It is because of this that I am positive the internal MIC is not broken or have a loose wire.
I went through a few steps to try and fix the internal microphone, such as resetting the SMC... but nothing has worked. Any help or ideas on how to solve this problem would be greatly greeted.
Hello dear user
Thank you to use Apple support communities
My recommendation would be to take it to an official Apple store, workers are espceialists, they might be able to fix, make sure also that you have never removed the water on top of the mic. In my iPad, a drop of water directed the music video of speaker if she never exceeds 30% volume of the music.
But if you don't have a store nearby, uninstall malware and unnecessary software, make sure that you don't have a program that allows you to change your sound (like Skype) systems, if you don't do that this program has no impact on your microphone. (I used to have Skype but it also makes audio cut so terrible, piano music sounded like heavy metal music, so heavy metal music was like to...) I don't know what to say.)

Disk utility first aid operation was unsuccessful and iMac freezes when it is reloaded
iMac Intel Core (2010) 320 GB 4 GB of RAM. Running OS 10.11.6
Started computer, white screen appeared with the icon of a folder with an exclamation mark in the folder. Nothing else to do, so restarted iMac, hold down the command and 'r' to open disk utility.
Ran first aid, recommended "incorrect block are 1172 instead of 601. File system check or repair a failure. Operation failed. "" "First aid running not a, if possible save the data on this volume. Click OK to continue. »
Discount to zero is successful, but screen is frozen with no access to the hard drive. I can't open the preferences system due to frost.
The circle of rainbow of spinning of death continues to run so I am not able to get any other repair mechanism.
Anyone have any ideas on how to proceed? The iMac is obviously not able to boot to the hard drive.
This probably means the HD has failed and must be replaced. How you proceed, is to take the computer to your local Apple authorized provider who can help replace the disk and get you back in business. If you are not aware of any local could be held, please click the following link to start to find one close to you.

Can I put a Seagate FireCuda drive in my iMac late 2009?
Apple Hardware Test (AHT) says that my SATA drive, 1 TB in size, has a problem. Nothing specific indicated. The code given is: 4HDD/11 / 40000000:SATA (0,0)
I was testing because of the prob trying to get a good download of macOS Sierra. Looks like I need to replace a hard drive first. I have an iMac late 2009 with a Core i7 quad core, 16 GB DDR3 1067 Mhz ram and ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics card. I can put a SSD in this unit or am I stuck with the Barracuda drives. I'm looking for FireCuda readers and like what I see and read about them.
If you want an SSD, then I highly recommend:
- Samsung 840.
- OCZ ARC100 and other models.
- OWC 3 G SSD.
The foregoing is all compatible and should work well. Your model only supports SATA 3 Gb/s speeds due to the controller, so don't waste your money on more expensive discs of 6 G or 6 Gbps because they work faster than a car of 3 G. If you decide on a 6 GB drive, however, they must be compatible as they work on the slower bus of 3G.

2 reasons that I see at a single glance, you have installed MacKeeper Malware, did the uninstall instructions and uninstall. Also, your Crashplan backup system is designed for continuous operation and is known to make slow systems. I would not recommend the use of this system or this time by backup only when you are not using the computer. Many users on these forums use local HD and Time Machine and then another external hard drive to create a clone of their system bootable using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper.
Finally, you have purchased a basic applications iMac system and driving high powered (using resources). Type to buy a scooter 10HP and he expects to go to commute 250 miles a day at 80 mph. It will simply not do!
