My question is why is go it mac sleep so fast and then wake up again when you access?  Power settings are:

In use:

standby mode 0

Sleep on the power button 1

womp 1

halfdim 1

hibernatefile/var/vm/drag

PowerNap 0

gpuswitch 2

automatic restart 1

networkoversleep 0

disksleep 0

Sleep 10

autopoweroffdelay 14400

hibernatemode 0

autopoweroff 1

ttyskeepawake 1

displaysleep 10

standbydelay 1

A secondary question is why does have the external USB drive go upward because some accessible a network port?  Nothing on the disc has been consulted.

Thank you!

You will need to turn off the wake for network access in the energy saving settings.

Whenever I put my computer in mode 'sleep' and then wake him up, I am presented with the problem of my computer being off does not correctly... How can I solve this problem?

    Hello

    1. What are you referring to whn that tell you immediately the Quick Launch button remains on constantly?

    2. are you referring to the Dell docking station?

You can try to update the graphics card and check if it helps to solve the problem.

  • HP Envy m4 Windows 8 do not sleep and wake properly

I recently got a HP Envy with Windows 8 m4, and every time I try to sleep, he never goes in mode 'sleep'. I'm assuming, since fans are always running up and the power light is still on (not flashing). If I try to wake him up, he doesn't. I tried pressing the power button, by clicking on the mouse and trackpad and typing on the keyboard. I tried to change the settings of the Control Panel, but nothing seems to work. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • Create custom jobs sleep and wake-up

Hey people, I'm looking for someone who is a little geekier then I have helping me fit these tasks.

What I want to do is, PC

#1 switch mode 'sleep' when it has been idle longer than 10 minutes beginning at 10:30 and ending at 02:30.

    #2 wake up at 05:55.

It was working fine until I disabled the two tasks for a few weeks, because I wanted the PC to stay on 24/7, and then re enabled them.

The PC wakes up now at 05:55 (while leaving no log entry in the task history), then the task of "put the pc to sleep" he puts to sleep 15 minutes later.

    "Wake PC.xml.

In my view, that it is a question too simple for TechNet. I was able to get the conflict. I also changed the task of awakening to do something useful instead of running just an empty cmd.

I now update the signature for MSE file. Please mark my answer as the answer. I paste in the task that is exported for someone else who may want to use it.

  • Portege M800 - mode 'sleep' and wake up fails

    Hi all

you just bought a new Portege M800 running Vista.

When the system goes into sleepmode or put into hibernation, there are not any what posisbility to wake up the system. I have to remove the battery is reactivated.

Downloaded and installed the latest version of the BIOS, does all the Vista updates. Also checked the BIOS, the wake on LAN and the wake of keyboard are enabled
    Anyone else having this problem?

Meanwhile, I've disabled hiernation and sleepmode in Vista, but this should not be the way to do it.

    Any advice much appreciated
    See you soon
    Dave

    Hello

I m not a Portege M800 owner but normally I would say that you should try to update the BIOS and install all Windows updates, but you already have it not.

What can you do now? If you have installed your own version Windows try again with the factory settings. Maybe it has something to do with software or then I don't know m.

If it doesn t work I think you'll need professional help to an authorized service provider. Technicians can check your parts defective laptop hardware and trade if it of necessary.
Here, you can search the nearest ASP:

  • Windows 7 is extremely slow going sleep and wake.

I timed it the other day; It has taken almost five minutes for Windows enter the mode 'sleep'. I tried to turn it back on, and it took literally five minutes before the logon screen appears. She does on a regular basis, and it starts to become very irritating. I tried to update my drivers, but Device Manager claims they are up-to-date. If it helps, I run the 64-bit version on a HP laptop with 4 GB of ram. The processor is an AMD Turion 64 X 2 TL - 60 to 2 GHz. I can provide more information if necessary. If anyone has any advice at all, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

  • Windows 8. The mouse cursor disappears after that my computer sleeps and wakes up then.

I unchecked property "mouse shadow."  After about 5 minutes of my violin with the other properties of the mouse, the cursor appears again.  My computer is brand new.

    Howdy,

I too have been looking for forums and playing with the power settings for days - it was driving me crazy!

I happy to report that I found a work around for this problem.

Simply plug your mouse / KB in a USB hub - I got a hub powered bus of really cheap 4 ports (one that does not require an external power supply). If you like your classic Intellimouse Optical as I do, it may be the solution for you.

    Hope this helps someone.

  • Sierra on iMac sleep restart OS

Select the day before leaving the iMac, or when sleep occurs when the value in energy saving; Sierra of OS - macOS 10.12 (A 16, 323), Darwin 16.0.0, system restarts on hitting escape to wake up.

    Hi SteveSJS,

I see that you are having problems with your Mac restarts once you press the ESC key to wake your Mac from sleep. I understand you want to your Mac to wake up from its sleep without problem. I'll be happy to help you.

The first thing I want you to do is a SMC reset, and then test the issue out by putting the Mac to sleep and wake it again.

Reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac.

If the problem is still there, please start Mac up in safe mode and then put your Mac to sleep and wake up then as you normally would. Check if the problem persists. So go ahead and restart your Mac to pick it up on your normal user account.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

Alternatively, you can test to see if this problem occurs in an another user account on your Mac. For more information on the implementation of a different user account, please see:

  • Wi - Fi pass drops after iMac sleep mode

Help, please. I had a lot of Wi - Fi problems after upgrade to Yosemite. I know that many others have had similar problems and the Genius bar was not able to find a solution. I get the same "I never heard of this problem before" and then run simple diagnostic tests. Here are some features:

    -iMac 21.5 "2011 Office

-Have had problems with connectivity Wi - Fi based on the current version works, but the worst problems came with Yosemite

The problem: after my iMac Sleep Mode wake up my network connection is interrupted. I have to physically click the Wi - Fi connection and wait it is the signal (it takes about 30 seconds). It is not a big problem, but it becomes very frustrating after what happens every time. I have other users in households who also have this problem and they are not very good with the iMacs.

Someone had this problem and was able to remedy?

    Thank you in advance,

    Hi there, Adamskiodp!

Thank you for joining the communities Support from Apple! I know how it is of course the computer is not important 'awakening to the top' at random times on its own. Without knowing what you have tried so far to solve problems, I suggest to try the steps in this article:

If your Mac does not sleep or wake up when expected - Apple supports

If your Mac wakes up suddenly

Your Mac can wake up to these activities:

    • Network activity that uses the wake on demand. Examples of network iTunes sharing activity, sharing photos, printer sharing, file sharing and using back to my Mac.
    • Enhanced notifications of FaceTime, Messages and other applications and services.
    • Bluetooth activity. To prevent Bluetooth devices to wake up your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Bluetooth. Click the Advanced button, and then deselect "allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer".

Try safe mode if your Mac does not start-up.

This boot can isolate issues on the startup disk. If these steps do not work, try the procedure described in this article:

How to test a question in another user on your Mac account

    See you soon!

  • Wake up the Qosmio F50 - 10G system mode 'sleep' and boots account locked window

Why when the laptop is put to sleep and left for a while, flashing light and stops when you press the power button / laptop will wake up showing the BIOS screen then boots in the window account locked?

Why I get this is event viewer? Source ACPI
The embedded controller (EC) data returned when none was requested.
The BIOS may try to access the European Community without synchronization with the operating system.
These data will be ignored. No further action is necessary; However, you should check with the manufacturer of your computer for an updated BIOS.

When Windows 7 starts, the icons on the desktop, menu start and records are white then start then normal fill when seen once again, any reason why?

    I used Windows 7 drivers.

    Thank you

    Hey mate,

I have too many Qosmio F50 and you can change the option if, after hibernate or stand-by the account should be locked or not. As far as I know that this can be changed in power management.

About this window of Event Viewer, I never heard talk about this and my Qosmio F50 works fairly well with Windows 7. You have installed all the drivers for it? You have yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager?

I also used Windows 7 drivers, but did you download from the Toshiba page? These drivers are pre-tested and normally should work pretty well.
