iMac to run out of memory system [Etrecheck report]
I have an iMac 2013 end (27-inch, 3.2 GHz i5) with 24 GB RAM installed running OS X El Capitan 10.11.5). Whenever Safari is open, it slows down gradually until I get a message "your system is out of memory the application" and several applications have been suspended. I tried to reinstall the OS X without result.
Once a report of Etrecheck indicates failure Drive with 19 errors, I contacted the Apple Support. The tech support guy was not familiar with Etrecheck, but don't think it was a defective drive. He had me DOWNLOAD & running Malwarebytes (did not find anything), create a Test user (which looked OK) and accompanied me through the removal of the caches in the library in my own user (which seemed to work for a while). He seemed anxious to finish my problem, so I let it go. Then he started to slow again. Subsequent reports of Etrecheck showed still drive failure but with only 2 to 5 errors. Now the drive seems fine.
Safari seems to be the cause. I deleted several tabs and off most of the extensions, but it did not help.
Here is the current Etrecheck report:
EtreCheck version: 2.9.13 (267)

What made these disk errors go away? These are almost always bad news.
But in fact: at the moment, Safari appears the biggest problem. Try to start in Safe Mode, followed by a normal reboot.

Warnings of boiler plate:
DO NOT delete files in your folder-> library tree as it has things like backups of your iPhone, your emails, your application preferences, etc... If you think that you found something in your Home-> library folder which can be removed, you must ask first.
DO NOT remove the files outside your home folder, you can end up removing something essential to Mac OS X and transform your Mac into a costly "door Stop."
I want to say that you will find a few very large files in private-> var-> vm (these are Mac OS X virtual memory paging files (swapfiles) and where Mac OS X stores the RAM copy when your Mac is paused). The swapfiles are removed on reboot, and the sleep image will just be recreated when you put your Mac to sleep.
If you think that you found something to remove outside your home folder, it would be better to ask first before deleting. There are many examples of people deleting files outside their home folder, rename files, or change the property or file permissions and then their Mac stops running. Don't be one of those people. Ask first.

Error 2013 CVI: the compiler has run out of memory.
Hello
I get this error in a source file, I want to debug:
1, 1 Error: The compiler has run out of memory. 1, 1 Note: You may be able to work around the problem: 1, 1 A. Set the debugging level to 'no run-time checking'. 1, 1 B. Split your source file into smaller files. 1, 1 C. Enable the 'O' option for your source file in the project. 1, 1 D. Move large static data structures into new files and 1, 1 enable the 'O' option for the new files.
Options A and C turn off debugging AIDS especially, and I don't dare edit.
So no possibility to increase the memory limit?

I have a file where I am running out of memory can someone take a look at this file and see?
I'm doing this 4pi x 8 ' file.
Please let me know if someone can help me to get this file of this size.
I have a quad core processor with 6 GB of ram and have obtained the file to 50 "x 20", but I have run out of memory shortly after. " Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Where to start? You should look into using the swatch instead of these circles extensible model. Also, I see that each circle in your model is actually a stack of four circles, but I don't see why. Maybe on the multitude of objects required for this models like you built haave it stifles Illustrator.
Here's one foot four by Illustrator file of eight feet using a pattern swatch. Note that, despite the large size, the file is less than a 16th size.

Out of memory system on environment 2011 27 "imacz
Yesterday began to receive messages from memory system on a regular basis.
I haven't added any new application for almost a year and have not been broadcast nothing more than safari (with only 1 or 2 windows open), mail, adobe pro, calendar, contacts.
I ran the activity monitor, and under memory pressure, I see that Safari is open, the pressure will increase to nearly max (15,49 GB) with no other apps to open.
I think that this could be related safari, but have no idea how to fix this. Help.
OS X Yosemite 10.10.5, 3.4 GHz Intel Core 17, Mem = 16GB 1333 MHz DDR3, AMD Radeon HD 6970M to 1024 MB
I started to write this on the Mac and had to finish on my iPad, because in the time it took to write the 1st by the Dopers memory pressure and use of safari went beach ball
Please quit and then restart Safari after taking each of the steps that you have not already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
The problem may be caused by web pages in the list of the favorite who sometimes or always request access with a CAPTCHA. If you know that there are these pages among your Favorites, remove them and see if there is an improvement. If not favorite and remove all Favorites, then restore them one or a few at a time until you find the culprits. There may be more than one.
Credit for this observation to ASC member ethereum.
Step 2
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select this option:
~/Library/Safari
A right click or Ctrl-click on the line and select
Services ▹ Open
the contextual menu.* should open a folder named "Safari". Quit Safari runs. One or more files in the open file must have a name starting in 'history '. Move these files and only those which, on the desktop, leaving the window open. Restart the application and test. If there is no change, leave again and put the files that you moved back where they were, crushing those who could be created in their place. If not, remove the files that you moved. The browser history will be empty. If possible, restore deleted files from a previous backup problem.
* If you do not see the item context menu copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ go to the folder...
from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + V. You won't see what you pasted a newline being included. Press return.
Step 3
Open the iCloud preferences window and uncheck the box marked Safari only. Test. Then check again, if you wish.

What is the time it takes to run out of memory and cpu between the hypervisor and vm?
I wanted to know the time for the performance of CPU and memory between VMS and the hypervisor. I know that there is a sort of delay when the virtual computer runs cpu or memory because it has transmitted to the hypervisor and handed over to the virtual machine. Thanks for the help.
It depends on the workload and server usage. If the system is not completely loaded and active code is in user space there is zero delay. If the host is used then the virtual machine is provided a slice of time to system resources and will have to wait his turn to access the CPU. In this case, the time is according to the system load.
In short, delay of CPU and memory can be and is often zero.

Dreamweaver is running out of memory [was: memory]
Hi all!
So Riddle me that, I have 2 GB RAM which I thought was a lot, but after working on DW for awhile it keeps 'out of memory '. Dreamweaver uses really all these resources? What can I do?
Thank you
Good looking
Please use lines of most significant object for your messages. It helps others know what talking about your question, then you're more likely to find help. It also helps others who may be affected by the same problem.
As for your question, 2 GB of RAM should be more than enough. However, it depends on how you use Dreamweaver. If you have many other programs open at the same time, which will affect performance. Another thing that affects performance is the size of your Web site. Dreamweaver maintains a cache to speed up the processing of links from the site. However, on a very large site, it has the opposite effect and slows things down. You can disable the cache of the site for a particular site in the Site Definition dialog box (Site > Manage Sites, select the site and select the Advanced tab).
Another thing that can affect performance is the number of open files and their size.
I have no problem with DW, but I have 4 GB of RAM and tend to not to create very large files. My largest site has about 500 records, and it works very well with the cache of the site will continue to operate and several other programs running at the same time. However, at the training center where I teach Dreamweaver, I find that I normally need to close and restart once a day, so it is quite possible that there is a leak memory somewhere. On the other hand, it might be the fault of the computer that I use here. This kind of thing is hard to pinpoint.

I'm running out of memory and cannot develop
I followed some of those suggestions and found the following information in the Task Manager:
Memory 1013 MB
553 cached
9 free
I continue to remove programs, but I can't find anything else for removal. I noticed under the Performance tools & that I twice a reference among the takers of major space Explorer:
IEXPLORER # 1 523 436 KB
and another further down:
Explorer 277 956 KB
I also have Google desktop as part of the 10 takers space albums.
My laptop already has the maximum memory of 1 GB
Any suggestions? Thank you, Ana
This is perfectly normal. Free memory is wasted. The cache is caching the data from your most frequently used programs so that they load more quickly. If a program or process is running that requires more memory that Vista will come out some data in memory cache for the file exchange and free memory.

Node inside the loop - out of memory
Hello world
I have a Mathscript node inside a Subvi is called inside a loop for. After a few iterations of the loop, I run out of memory. That's why I added another node in Mathcript with the function 'clear' outside the Subvi, hoping that after I get the variables from the node I could erase the memory of the Mathscript, but this does not work, it is always short of memory. Is anyone know how can you delete variable memory Mathscript node, once they were saved in the variables in Labview? Thanks in advance.
You don't even really any useful information to solve the problem. As I exaplained, constantly deleting data sets just to reassign them to the next iteration is generally ill advised, because it causes just more performance and same memory fragmentation issues. It is best to operate locally as much as possible.
Who wrote the code matlab? Maybe it's very inefficient? What is doing? Perhaps rewrite in LabVIEW you gain significant performance.

"Your system is running out of Application memory"
Hello
Since last week I have been having a problem where my computer screen appears with a reading of the question 'your system has sold out of the memory of the application.' This happens around every 20-30 minutes to use my computer, where the issue is resolved by restarting my computer. However, this message appears when I have 1 or 2 applications open (including the permanent Finder application). At my computer without a doubt a lot of memory left and I installed only 5 additional applications: League of Legends, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook. I used OS X El Capitan for the first half of the week and macOS Sierra for the second half, but the upgrade did not solve my problem.
I run:
MacBook Air (13 inch, mid 2013)
1.3 GHz Intel Core i5 processor
DDR3 4 GB 1600 MHz memory
Start drive Macintosh HD
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB
Your system is running out of RAM, not disk space. 4 GB is the absolute minimum of RAM. Try to remove all unnecessary startup items (Preferences > users and groups > you > login items) with the key less (not simply uncheck the boxes - which hide just the app but it still works).
You can also run activity monitor (Applications > utilities) to see what is using the memory.
