  First of all, I suggest you to see if a Data Execution Prevention of the game compatible version is available by visiting the website of the software publisher. If the Publisher has not released an updated, compatible version DEP for the program, you can turn off DEP for the program that was closed.   b. you should get a success return message.

  c. close the elevated command prompt.

  d. restart the computer to apply.

  Note: Once you are done with step 1 and step 2, try to add the data execution prevention program and check if it helps to open the game or not.

  To enable disable Windows Media Center (WMC), follow these steps:

  1. click on the Start button and select Panel.

  2. click on programs and features.

  Remove the battery, connect your laptop to the power adapter only and try to turn on the L10. If this lets wait a few minutes and put the battery in place and watch if the laptop works as usual.

  Hi, I have an interesting problem...
  Recently bought used laptop froze after 2 hours of idling and wouldn't stop while I pressed the power button (I pushed for more than 30 seconds), so I removed the main battery to stop it. I put back the battery but the laptop wouldn't start over (power lights turns on but the screen remains black and the hard drive remains silent) and I can't close it now the power either button.

  What I tried:
  -remove the CMOS battery
  -removal of all energy sources, hold the power button to drain any residual power to 30 years
  -remove RAM, hard drive, dvd player, wireless

  At some point the laptop decided to work again... everything worked... I tested it with Passmark BurnInTest and worked without problem. Then I accidentally deleted the power cord, and I was back to square one - same simptoms as before.

  What I have to do? Help, please.

  I solved the problem - the laptop works better without drugs cough spilled on it and the ants 'try to remove' the former owner of the laptop has been a real * beep * but I managed to repair the laptop anyway.
