  I've used virtual vmware and oracle machine on my host OS (windows 7).

  I have three drives

  (1) C (operating system)

  (2) newvolume(E:))

  (3) microsoft2010 click auto run protected.

  whenever I created a new image I'm pointing to E: drive and make a separate folder.

  I noticed that whenever I create a new image of my c: drive------fills with space. It's presence that he should use some of the operating system files.

  When I remove the machine image (workstation > > VM > > remove disc) my E: drive where the image has been stored deleted which is expected and fine. I see clearly that much space is available.

  but I have problem with my C: drive which seems to be not to give up the space that he used in this process. I didn't take any snapshots. My snapshot location also stressed the E drive.

  You can delete a temporary file like that...

  Go to run as a type folder and run it then delete all temp file.

  I have xt pro on my cmp - very little, other than IE8, Word, Excel. Nothing great. Be "topped up" several times with disc 'restore' since the performance was slowing down. Gradually, the HARD drive fills up: after the last reading memory 30 GB charging used; 10 GB free. I think that xp is only about 1 GB - what am I doing wrong?

  Thanks for all the suggestions. Tried and thought about them, but made no difference. However, I found the answer:

  When you use the disc to 'restore' every time I was simply stack several operating systems on top of those already here. I have about a dozen versions or more I suspect No. 1 partition. This time, where do my last (I hope) restore today I paid more attention to writing when the options are available on the "formatting" the drive. Now, I completely formatted the Partition No. 1 (where I suspect that all versions of xp are kept) and pressed. Of course, the restoration has worked well and I now only ONE version of XP on my system. The display of 'properties' on the drive C: tells me now that I have less than 2 GB used and 28 GB FREE!

  Result?

  To jump on the fast track with datamerge, you should have all the graphic contained final before the merger. All images must adjust as you wish in your merge window. Those who need to be cloned should be cloned, grouped, adjusted dimensions required and finally exported to pdf, tiff or png. Resulting image should be offered to datamerge.

When I click it, it says I'm reaching of maximum capacity. I read that for best results you should have at least 15% free space. Brand new out of the box I was only 13%. I use it only for play games, e-mail and internet. I have a lot of games in charge, but they are on the C drive I have 78% of free space. I unloaded a lot of trial installed in the factory and freebie, Ebay type stuff and a lot of that kind of thing. None of this makes much difference. I don't know anything about computers... yet. But I'm learning. I run Disk Cleanup a lot and have together on auto defrag and I run it manually. I'm puzzled. No entry or help will be greatly appreciated.

  I don't know why you get all messages at all help from HP. I wouldn't worry about it or space on the recovery partition. If it's confusing, call HP support. It is their help and their error System. Me, I would leave it alone. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  Probably that Vista in system restore, is set to use a very high % of hard drive space. Most users to be able to limit it manually.

  Hi Chris,

  Whether you use the Partition recovery or your recovery discs, both will delete all custom partitions that you may have created.  A better option to allow you to recover the operating system and any custom partition you created would be to use a disk imaging software.

  Additionally, make sure that you have created your recovery disks, as Re-partitioning the HARD disk can sometimes affect the function of the recovery Partition.

  384 MB is nowadays is no longer considered to be a file of "big."

  You don't mention how much space is actually available on the Synology but for arguments sake, we will assume that more than 60 GB of space is available.

  So in theory it should be possible to create a disk image of 60 GB (no doubt), there is enough space available. As you say there is no set of storage quotas and I'm happy to believe that. I think that the issue could be more to do with the maximum allowed size of the file, remember that I mentioned that 384 is actually not much, although some systems have a limit of 4 GB for a single file, for example FAT32 file systems have such a limit. In theory the FAT32 limit should not apply here because almost all including Synology NAS servers actually use Linux as the underlying software and so use Ext3 or Ext4 as file system, not FAT32. Same Ext2 a fortiori Ext3 or Ext4 allowing individuals will produce up to 2 TB of size which is clearly much larger than 60 GB.

  Still it could be related to that question even if it is necessary as an unnecessary and artificial limit may be for example to ensure compatible with other systems using FAT32.

  If you have enough space on the Mac, you could create and try to copy on the Synology, however another approach which is probably better all around is to create a "sparsebundle disk image. It's a disc image, but another type and will work around this problem because it is in fact made up of lots of all small files attached together. As that user do you see this as image a big drive, but the computer sees it as a folder full of files much smaller.

  You don't want to use the imaq_usb installation program. It is obsolete and has never supported by NEITHER. All the functionality has been replaced by a feature in IMAQdx (part of the Acquisition of the Vision). It should work if your camera provides DirectShow drivers.   My hard drive is full but not because I downloaded large files, and I can't identify it as waste is that fills the disk. How can I clear the space?

  You will see in my previous two answers that everything seems fine, except that I have no idea how the issues have been brought to rights.

  I had run Defragmenter a few days ago, but it made no difference. I was about to follow your advice about system restore etc when I discovered that it was apparently useless.

  My only concern is now that, as I have no idea why the problem arose, I also have no idea how to do to stop this happening again!

  Okay, so dying was a bit hyperbolic.  2 problems:

  1. I found some bad sectors on my hard drive that the check disk window does not reach the difficulty (even after the execution of SEVERAL times).  Any ideas on alternatives to the disk of the window check?
  2. My hard drive is under warranty and I want to swap out.  But Windows 7 will not let me create a backup with a defective sector image.  I don't want to reinstall Windows and all my programs again. Ideas on how to create an image that I can use to run windows on a hard disk of expenses without just to save data and starting from scratch?

  This cloning program claims to be able to manage disks failed http://www.miray.de/products/sat.hdclone.html . A free version is available. If bad sectors contained important data, it is not necessarily a good idea.
