Can I down load the upgrade W10 to an image file to upgrade once I do my planned hardware updates?

My computer is running Windows 7 or Windows 8, but I don't want to upgrade right now. Is there anyway that I can always get the free update without missing?

  • Get a preview of image files but not the other files

In the Finder (or an alternative file manager) is there a way to show previews of image files, but not for the other files?

With the image files, it will display a preview. With other types of file, a preview is useless and its best to see a standard icon indicating the file type.

Any decent file on all Linux distributions browser lets you choose Preview vs standard icon based on case by case basis depending on the file type. I can't see how to proceed in the Finder (or the various alternatives as TotalFinder). How can I me Finder for this?

The thumbnails, you mean? I don't think that there is a 'decent' solution for OS x. But then again, I don't know everything.

  • To access the Jpg image files after deleting files of AAE position

I was manually copying my photos my iPhone6 on my PC (Windows 10) and deleted the. AAE different associated with JPEG images files before copying them, because I had deleted these same files previously after transfer to my laptop without a problem. I see that now I can't open/view all JPEG files.

I tried to cancel the deletion but could not do it in windows and seems not due to my recycling bin either.

Any advice on how to recover the files of the EFA or access JPEG files? Thank you.

You should be able to open JPEG files, the. AAE files are the sidecar files that contain changes.

Are the photos always in your phone? If so you could import it onto the computer.

Edit: If you have removed the. AAE files directly from the iPhone through the computer's File Explorer, the database of iPhone Photos have damaged you.

  • Soft pictures for Mac: how to determine the size of the image file

Question: in the Photos for Mac, how can I determine the size of a photo or a video file

Set-up the info panel does not include the size of the file.

Furthermore, I don't see any place where I can do a "show in finder" to find the information in this way.

    Thank you!

Can you not with the right button on the image file in the folder, the images are stored in, select "Get Info" and then find the size of the file in this way?

  • Burning Image files of DVD on Qosmio G20 using Norton Ghost backup?

    Hello

I have Norton SystemWorks Premier which includes Ghost v.10. Try as I might, I can't burn an Image of my hard drive to the DVD Ghost v.10 is supposed to be compatible with RAID-0, which I use. The drive from DVD-RAM UJ-845 s is listed as being supported by ghost.

The image is quite small... can't remember the exact size (less?), but it's just the BONE more office and some other applications, so that windows and update Office 80 or more required after reinstalling the recovery disc. There is no user files (Docs, films, music, etc.) which I backup by simply copying to DVD. I have no problem burning the Image file on my drive C: (which would be pretty useless in a collision).

Norton Support led me through the hoops, with no resolution. They suggest that I have buy third-party DVD burning software (Nero is their recommendation) to burn the Image of the c: to DVD, or buy a USB hard drive and see if it works. What a COP out!

I wonder if anyone has had any chance of burning the Images to backup directly to DVD with Ghost, Acronis, etc.. It seems to be a necessity when the Image on the recovery disk is now hopelessly obsolete (and loaded with stuff I don't want or need).

    Any advice will be appreciated.

    Hi Allan

You are not able to burn this image on a DVD because of the size of the image!
The 10 GB are too! The DVD runs approximately 4.7 GB and you will not be able to burn 10 GB on the DVD.

I created a file of image on the second partition, and if something goes wrong I can restore the partition C all from the D partition where saving the image file.

  • After you import an image (.jpeg) file for the Photos on my Mac app, can I safely delete this image file to save space on my hard drive?

After you import an image (.jpeg) file for the Photos on my Mac app, can I safely delete this image file to save space on my hard drive?

Yes, you can remove the file from the imported image, if you have imported the image as managed.  IE preferences in ave Photos settled on "import: copy items to the photo library" being the default.

  • If I copy and paste an image file (jpeg, for example) in the folder of photos on my Mac, is it automatically imported in the Photos app?

If I copy & paste an image file (jpeg, for example) that I downloaded from the internet to the folder of photos on my Mac, is it automatically imported in the Photos app? Note that the picture on my Mac folder is the folder that contains the file "Library.photoslibrary Photos".

N ° you must actively import photos with the file-> import... command.

Given that you can delete the file as soon as it is imported - if you have the copy in the library checked preferences - I use a folder called 'imports' on my desk to separate files that I'm importing. Once they are imported files into the import folder can trash.

  • Can I reverse the order of the images in my image file?

I am constantly sending pictures over the internet.  I use OS X on my Mac mini.  When I go to my image file, it lists all my images stored by oldest images first.  I have to scroll LIKE NEVER to get recent pictures... those I'm most likely to use.  Can I reverse the order so that the most recent images show first; Save me time in research?  Thanks advance.

If I go into my pictures folder in the Finder and use the display of the list, I can click on the column modified date to sort normally or inverse. The ^ symbol will change with the sort order

  • From El Capitan, a DMG image file is read only

I have a Seagate external drive to Mac OS extended (journaled) format with 2 partitions. On a partition of the disk, I have an image DMG file which had read and write permissions to the title of Yosemite. Now with El Capitan, the file is read-only when I open it. But what is strange, is that when I do a "Get Info" on the queue image before I open it, it says I've read & write permission.  Then when I opened the image file, Get-Info gives me conflicting information:

    (1) it is said: "read only".

    (2) in the table, it is said to "user (me)" that permissions are "read & write".

If I try to change the permissions (after unlocking the 'Get Info' dialog box), everything is gray and I can't make changes.

I thought the problem was similar to:

Re: external hard drive read it now after update of el capitan

So I followed the 'solution' listed (used disk utility > first aid), no effect.

I also downloaded the driver Seagate-fix, but this has no effect (which I expected since mine cannot be an NTFS problem...)

    Any help appreciated.

    JIm

How is the Seagate HDD formatted?

If she is still formatted as NTFS then it is very likely that your third party necessary for writing to NTFS software is obsolete. With the El Capitan, upgrading a number of packages NTFS should be updated in order to be able to write the formatted NTFS disks.

  • PDF to Image file

    Hello

I would like to ask if it is possible to use LabVIEW to convert PDF files into image files? or more precisely, the PNG files.

Or are there resources/links that provides sufficient information on the PDF format so that you can use LabVIEW to make certain quantities and get a picture/photo card?

    Enjoy one advises.

Thank you for your kind attention.

    Rgds

Once, I posted a VI to create LaTeX commands PNG files I used Ghostscript to convert the EPS to png.  It turns out, with only a very slight modification the Subvi will also convert PDF to PNG.  Try this out.  You can install Ghostscript and then add the path to gswin32c.exe for trajectory control (if you install to the default location, you shouldn't have to change anything else than to the drive letter).

  • ENVY of HP dv6-7204AX: need help to get the BIOS image file (ROM or BIN) for HP ENVY dv6-7204AX

Hello everyone, I really need someone who could help me get an image file (ROM or BIN) bios for my laptop HP dv6-7204AX ENVY.

For some reason, after that cleaning my fan cpu and everything put back toghether I had accidentally damaged the bios, because the electric sock, that's what the tech guy said :-(

My computer is now automatically power on whenever I plug the adapter and nothing start (only caps lock led flashing continuously1time and black screen)

    Thank you

Hello kieuminhuy... I'm sorry that you are having this problem with your ENVY dv6!

kieuminhuy, you can go to the page of downlopad 7200 WANT dv6 to download and run the SoftPAQ BIOS proper.  You do not have to run this SoftPAQ on the failed system - it should work on any system!  When you run the SoftPAQ, chose the option to copy the image file of the BIOS to another location (see below).

    I hope this helps!

  • save an image in an image file and reloaded on another computer for the image processing

    Hello

Can I save the image to an image file and then reload the file on another computer for the image processing? What type of image format should I save for it? Is there any loss of image if I do this? The machine with the camera sits in our lab, and I want to test the software on my own computer image processing. So can someone give some good ideas on this. Thank you

    Jane

I assume you have the module development VDM and vision acquisition software going TO on your computer.

So just use playback IMAQ and IMAQ save functions. BMP, png are good for losless save unlike jpg and jpeg2000.

    Hope this helps
