Image of disk HARD recovery removed the Satellite A300 - restore HARD drive

Hello
I have a Satellite A300, and I deleted by mistake HDD Recovery folder.

I have recovery disks, but I want the HDD Recovery folder to restore my system without using the discs.

Please, can you tell me how to recreate the HDD Recovery folder?

Thank you very much

Hello

Unfortunately, now is not impossible to recover, image of hard drive, but with the only recovery disk. You can copy only to someone who has the same laptop with hard drive recovery record.

    Hello

Seems to me, the image of hard drive recovery is not already available on your hard disk. You did a recovery disk? Otherwise, you must buy from Toshiba, the details for the order are:

  • Recovery of the Satellite A200-TH1

Because I met a frequent problem with my Satellite A200-TH1 of starting recently, I was told to use the disks of recovery by the seller. When I use it, after the two initial instructions (F12 / enter setup /F9), nothing happened. I chose the CD drive, and then press F9.

Can someone help me to complete the process to get my computer recovered fully?

    Hello

Your computer is trying to boot from CD or what exactly is going on?

Have you tested different bootable disk to check if the recovery disk works properly? You can use a Microsoft Windows disk to test it. If this disc works, your recovery disc is scratched/damaged, otherwise, it might be a problem with your CD/DVD drive.

  • Problem creating discs of recovery for the Satellite L500-126

    Hello

I have a problem of creation of recovery for the Satellite L500-126 disks.

I'm using the Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.

    The 1st disk is ok.
When I try to do the 2nd drive, the systems stops exactly 50% of the 2nd drive. and no more reaction from the creator of disc.

I tried 2 x, and every time I had to give up and throw the dvd.

    any suggestions?

    Hello

You should try another DVD from different manufacturers
It s nothing unusual that some DVDs are not totally compatible and CD/DVD players cannot write data correctly
I had this problem in the past and could solve this test and using different DVD.

  • Share a lightroom catalog - Does the catalog and images on external hard drive work?

I manage a small part of the flow of images overall of the client by updating their prescence web basis with new works and relabelling/download earlier works. I believe that this requires the catalogue and the library of images that will be hosted on an external hard drive that can travel between us two. We work both on PC with LR 5.3.

The workflow should look like this:

Customer uploads new images on external hard drive and import LR

    'ClientCatalog' is created

Flags of pickaxes and creates a Collection of those Picks

Hard disk is handed to me when I opened "ClientCatalog".

    Make changes suggested in pictures

    Add detailed tags and metadata

Download on various media sites, social and Web sites

return the drive to the customer

Is there a potential problem with this workflow? My assumption is that if everything is housed on the external hard drive, so there is no worries for the catalog with all updates. Can someone find out about potential problems, that I might have forgotten? Are there of "security protocols" you would add in to this workflow (not to mention that everythign on another hard disk mirroring) which would you suggest?

    Photwell wrote:

I came across this problem with my own catalog a few weeks ago. I plugged my external hard drive into a different USB port and everything was gone.

Not gone, just addressed. It can be re-addressed as required. I think that's enough on MacOs, to name the drive. Under Windows, the details vary depending on the version of the OS (Google for instructions), but it's for Win7:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/Windows7/HT/change-drive-letters-Windows-7.htm

and it's a good idea to assign a drive letter quite a bit more later in the alphabet, to restrict the possibility of ever finding this already taken letter. For example, it might be X: to HDD external , or P: for Plug in car, or anything that makes sense to you...

After having done this, the re-start of Lightroom and open the catalog, images will be at the first go in offline mode (previously used location not found). To get online, it will be necessary to re - browse the folder parent for all your image files, to reflect its new location under the new reference in car. That done, the location information of catalog for all images and subfolders located under this parent folder, automatically updated. If that parent does not appear in the list of records of LR, you right-click and choose "show Parent". Display LR then reorganizes to reflect this real hierarchy.

    Best regards, PR

YYou want to save raw images, but not all? Is that what you mean? When you import into FVP you can select the songs you want and you can set the library in the Inspector to record the files on any player, anywhere.

  • Options recovery system and satellite A300-1J1

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone knows how to recover the Satellite A300-1J1. My laptop has Windows Vista family premium, I'm not too sure about the number of 'bits' because the sticker at the bottom of my laptop is faded. My serial number is 8811896Q.

I closed my laptop and when I tried to leave, he places the next morning it said 'unable to start Windows. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. Then it goes to the screen that says ' System Recovery Options: could not start the installed program. " Click OK to turn off the computer.

Does anyone know how to recover my laptop without having to waste (wipe) all data currently on it, such as the documents windows etc. ?
    Thank you

    > Does anyone know how to recover my laptop without having to waste (wipe) all data currently on it, such as the documents windows etc. ?
In the past, we discussed very often on this theme. In any case, it works this way:
-When you use recovery DVD for the installation of the OS all disk is deleted including data on all partitions
-If you use HARD drive recovery option only C partition is deleted and all data saved on the second partition will always be there
So please try installation of recovery of HARD drive following the instructions of the Toshiba document.

  • What is the difference between the Satellite A300-1EC & Satellite A300-1EG

Why does the Satellite A300-1EC more expensive stand as Satellite A300-1EG, but configuration loses him?

What is their substantial distinction in?
What model of laptop may indicate, in this price range?

    Hello

Satellite A300-1EC belongs to the Group PSAG0E and Satellite A300-1EC to PSAG4E. When this model numbers are different, it means that they do not have the same hardware configuration.

The first has Intel graphics controller 965GM (Crestline). The second is M82XT ATI (256 MB). The capacity of the HARD disk is not the same. The first a 160 GB HDD and secondly a 250 GB.

So that's the difference between these notebooks of the A300.

In my view, the other is better. You have to make your decision and choose the right one.

  • Of a VBox OVF 0.9 to VMWare image with 2 hard drives

    Hello world

I'm trying to convert a VirtualBox 3.1.4 image with 2 hard drives with OVFTool 1.00 x 64 linux.

~/VirtualBox$ ovftool - noDisks MANAGER .ovf-SDM SDM - MANAGER .vmx

Source OVF opening: SDM - MANAGER .ovf

Target VMX opening: SDM - MANAGER .vmx

    Error:

-"3" of the "vim.vm.device.VirtualIDEController" device has been found. Only '2' permit

I can't find the solution to the problem. Could someone help me on this?

I added the ovf file to the post!

    Kind regards

    Jeroen van Hoef

    Hi Jeroen

A quick glance on the OVF, you have as far as I can see that you have 1 IDE controller using 'address = 1' this translates to be IDE 1 controller on the motherboard. Controllers IDE are the default devices you'll be controller IDE automatically get to address 0 defined for example the 0 on the motherboard IDE controller.

Second, you set the CD-ROM to use AddressOnParent = 0, which is the same disc 1 with InstanceId 8 AddressOnParent have.

A fix for your OVF is therefore to define a second controller ide like

    < item >

    < rasd:Caption > ideController0 < / rasd:Caption >

    < rasd:Description > IDE controller < / rasd:Description >

    < rasd:InstanceId > 20 < / rasd:InstanceId >

    < rasd:ResourceType > 5 < / rasd:ResourceType >

    < rasd:ResourceSubType > PIIX4 < / rasd:ResourceSubType >

    < rasd:Address > 0 < / rasd:Address >

    < rasd:BusNumber > 0 < / rasd:BusNumber >

    < / point >

map the drive to use it (you can do this by changing the Parent = 2) ide controller.

    It may be useful

  • To change the Satellite A300 - 1 G 5 for another similar model

I started using the Satellite A300 - 1 G 5 in October 2008. I liked its sleek black design perfect, but his memory crashed. The service center offers to change my laptop for another with the same characteristics. But I put t know which one to choose. I would, of course, Toshiba.

I will be grateful to everyone

If you want to have the Satellite A300 once again I recommend to use the model of PSAG8E. I have more than a year now and I'm really happy with it.
If you have the opportunity to take other, more recent, portable check new Satellite A500. I like it.
There are 16 display, refined design and wonderful backlit keyboard.

  • Re: Satellite A300 (PSAJ4E) - Webcam driver open fail

I had to replace the hard drive on my PSAJ4E of the A300 and when I reloaded Vista 32 and install all drivers hardware Toshiba everything went well except for a Chicony webcam.

The side menu is there but it won't work, giving a "driver webcam open fail." "Please restart camera or computer" error.

I updated the Bios to 4.20
I first used the original Toshiba, the 20080428125023 webcam driver download (V1.07.175).
I tried with 'closed the cover 3/4 '.
I have searched and read dozens of similar problems. I've tried a few, even edit the ini setting. Nothing helps.
I even tried drivers XP (V1.7.144.0611), 32-bit and 64-bit versions and even a driver from the gateway. Nothing seems to work for this cam.

    What now?

I also now get "the requested section is not found in the INF file" when I try to uninstall and reinstall the driver through Device Manager.
    I have the choice of
    6.198.1.0
    6.2.208.424
    6.2.238.1217
    all give the same error...

    Hello

I want to download the restore DVD Toshiba Satellite A660-148, and I format the HARD drive recovery partition. Please, help me to restore my laptop to factory original state!

    Hello tarek

Recovery image can not be downloaded. You must create it on your own using preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.

If you have formatted the recovery partition, it is impossible to create more. Now you have to buy the original DVD of recovery under https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

  • How to install the recovery on the Satellite A200-1VO image?

    Hello

I Satellite A200-1VO and want to give it its out of the box state, but it seems to have misplaced the recovery disk if it had one.

Anone know how it reboot without it, or do I need?

If you n t have original recovery disk, you can install the OS by using the original installation disc for Microsoft. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download from the Toshiba download page - http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

Problem is that, with the original recovery image you n t need valid product key and pre-installed OS will activate automatically. If you use the Microsoft disk you need activation key.

  • Manager Windows 8.1 and the HP recovery disk manager cannot remove the recovery partition

I have the following computer: HP ENVY h8 desktop PC - 1437c.  I used the HP Recovery application to do a recovery on a flash drive disk. When you have finished this operation it was not an option to remove the recovery partition (drive D on my computer. I tried to reopen the HP Recovery Manager and try to remove it like that, but to remove it is greyed out. I also tried to delete it using the 8.1 windows Disk Manager, but there is no way to do there either. If I right click on the recovery Partition, I get only an option 'help '. How can I get rid of this partition and recover lost space using it now on my hard drive. Windows and HP did not want to provide more records with their computers, but they do not have a problem of screwing of MY hard drive that I bought and paid for. I should start to charge rent for the space.

I just used the software and created another partition as drive D using all unallocated space. I can delete probably once again, or maybe I'll just use it as a storage device for my files instead of recovering files sofetware... Thanks for the help
