image to grayscale to color

I have an image in grayscale I placed in Illustrator CS6. I would change the black to a Pantone color - turning it into a kind of Duotone.

Is this possible or do I do in Photoshop first?

I found a way "descendant" to do so using the change > > change the colors. But I must first choose to invert the colors, then adjust the balance of color..., then set the color opposite mode CMYK, then invert the colors even once. It is a major concern and will not work with a Pantone color.

Thanks for your help, everyone.

If a raster image, simply apply the Pantone color as a fill color.

I have an Illustrator CS5 document that uses placed images in grayscale on a white background. Everything seems on screen, but when I print the file a warm gray selection border appears around each image. I tried to use a Photoshop native files transparent, the EPS and TIFF files, but the problem persists. I am Mac OS 10.6.6. Everyone knows a similar problem and, if so, how do solve you?

    Bob,

If you save as PDF, buttons appear when you open the document in Acrobat/Reader to screen)? If this isn't the case, I think the question is outside of Illy and with the printer (pilot).

Y at - he interpreted by the printer color management (pilot; you should be able to see under the ownership of the printer or something)? If so, try disabling it.

  • Change an icon images to grayscale or color levels when it is disabled/enabled

I have a button in my application that is configured to be active when a tilelist (profile1EntertainmentAddLinksTilelist) has at least 1 point in it. I have a text but also a color icon in this button.

I currently have 2 functions of code 'convertToGrayscale()' which converts components into levels of gray and 'convertToColor()' which converts the components to the color.

What I want is so that when it is clicked the convertToColor apply to it even when disabled convertToGrayscale would apply to it.

I know there is a 'enabled' property in the buttons, but is not to be a fundamental property of "disabled".

Another problem is, within my button, I already have an enabled property so that when the tilelist component with a component, only then is enabled. Is it possible to add the convertToColor function in the property enabled so that it is activated when the tilelist component has more than 1 point in it that the button is enabled AND it converts the color? This is the bit I'm struggling with that.

    Enabled = "{profile1EntertainmentAddLinksTilelist.SelectedItem}" "

This solution uses the change and valueCommit event.

  • Convert an image to grayscale 10-bit color

    Hi all

I am a programmer of experience of labview 8 years, but new to the procession of the image or NOR-Vision. And now, I came to a problem with the conversion of the image.

I have an image acquisition card that acquires 1 k * 1 k 10-bit grayscale image, I saved the image acquired in *.raw (binary) format, and now I have to convert these images to bmp (jpeg, png, or diff) format. When I try to use the VI "Imaq save 2", I got an error saying something like "unsupported image type. After searching this forum, it seems that if I have to use an image of color type save as bmp format, but to receive my 10-bit RAW files, I first need to create an image in grayscale U16. So, how can I solve this problem?

    Thanks for your suggestions!

My guess: you're referring to the 'writing IMAQ 2.VI of the file' as I do not know everything "IMAQ save...". Screw.

The 'writing IMAQ 2.VI of the file' does not support writing 16-bit BMP.  You can take this information among image types supported this VI, see here.  Look at the pictures above, the designation of VI: 'IMAQ writing file BMP 2' says that he accepts "U8" and "RGB32 image types.

    Proposal: Write a PNG image.

If you mean a grayscale JPEG, then you will need to convert it to RGB in Photoshop. Working with modes of alternative color if not always requires the color management, which most of the time is not recognized on the web.

  • How to print the image in grayscale in the rich black?

How to print the image in grayscale as PDF as black process only instead of CMYK?  I'm on FM10

    Ed,

What file format you save the image in? It is important, as indicated by error. If you left it as a PSD, then FM performs a conversion to RGB. A TIFF or EPS file properly remains blank (i.e. on the plate of K). Other formats, such as PNG to grayscale are actually indexed color and solve RGB when FM creates the PDF file in the presence of plates of Spot and where the components are mapped to the CMY plates also.

Here is a sample generated using SaveAsPDF with the CMYK option with the same 'gray levels' file saved in the format PNG, TIF and EPS in Photoshop (Note how the PNG isn't all there, on the plate K):

I guess that LabVIEW code, you have published work to complete the task.  It's a little different from what I posted.  But I am not too concerned about that as long as things are working.

The code works now. The problem is there:

If (Log_Imaqdx_Error(imaqExtractColorPlanes (captureImage, 1, NULL, NULL, processedImage)))

Instead of Log_Imaqdx_Error, it must be Log_Vision_Error.

  • How to convert an image to grayscale 8 bits unsigned 2D table

    Hello.

The "Color Utilities' Vision Development Modulde function contains the ColorImageToArray IMAQ, who only has the 32-bit unsigned integer as output values. Y at - it an option to reach a value of the integer not signed 8 bit at the exit?

Please check this box. what you did is not correct (according to me).

-Please use formulations appropriate for the types of images

    32-bit color

    8-bit gray

-Intype casting you use RGB (U32) conversion, Image type should be grey it according to your requirement. If the image is in color, why do you need cast once again he in RGB?

-After plan color extraction, it is no more color(32bit) of image. There is no point in using image color table. use IMAQ image for table instead.

    Hi Donnas,.

Content-aware fill is your best friend in this case.

Just make a selection around the word and go to edit-> Fill-> Content-Aware.

This usually done a very good job.

Then you can either return to it several times (maybe in smaller sections) with Content-Aware fill to clean it, or you can play with the Spot Healing Brush tool (J) or the tool clone stamp (s).

  • Is it possible to limit an image to 256 specific color?

I've been at this for hours with no luck, so maybe someone here can help me out...

What I try to do is to open the image and change the color mode so that it will limit the colors in the image for specific colors I selected (and edit existing colors in the image for closest matches you in the colors that I've specified). The closest solution to you, I have found is by selecting the colors indexed, choose a custom Palette and entering the hex values for the colors, I want to be used in the image. The problem is that the indexed color option limited to 256 colors and the color scheme, that I need to access includes 454 specific colors. Is there an option that gives me the same result as indexed color, but allows me to specify more than 256 colors?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    You can use trace Illustrator.

    Illustrator:

"To control the colors in a trace.

Create a swatch library that contains the colors you want to use in the follow-up. (See to create libraries of nuances).

Make sure that the Swatch Library is open, and then click the tracing Options dialog button in the control palette. Otherwise, choose the command object > trace > tracing Options.

Select the swatch library name from the Palette menu, and then click Trace. »

I don't think that the number of samples is limited to 256. for example the Pantone Coated (maybe an older version)

contains samples of 1142. That said, the vectorization can handle so many shades must be tested.

By the way: the number of plates spot is limited (28, or more)

  • InDesign PDF output creates an image in grayscale negative...

I have an InDesign file with an eight-bit grayscale image imported from Photoshop. The image appears normal in Photoshop and normal view in InDesign. However, when I have the output file in PDF (print quality), the image in grayscale format appears in the PDF as a negative image. This happens not all the time, but from time to time. Does anyone have an idea of what is happening and what I could do wrong?

    TIA

On further investigation, this could be a problem with Preview [Version 5.0.1 (503), OS X 10.6.2].] When the PDF file is displayed in Acrobat, the images appear fine.

The problem seems to occur with grayscale images in PSD format.

The image should be resized in InDesign so that requested subsampling as defined in the Compression Panel in the PDF export settings.

Select the settings of export PDF for printing high quality or print quality.

In the Panel of Compression, Compression for grayscale Images should be set to the JPEG format (or automatic (JPEG)).
