• Flow of text/image for a user manual

  Greetings. I'm working on a layout for a user manual. I encountered a problem with the flow of text and images in many cases where the instructions of the manual to a step by step format. Please see the screenshot at the end of the post.

  You will see in the bottom half of the page one of these sequences step by step starts. The 1st image is related to step 1 and 2 in step 2. I want the image to align with the capline of the 1st sentence at each stage and the image must stay in line on the right and the left-aligned text. Here's where I have problems: I don't want to give a space - after replacing every step in order to align the next step with the next image.

  I tried to put the image inline with the text and by aligning his right of paragraph but then I can't align the image with the capline of the 1st sentence in step; the image is before or after the line of text. I also tried dressing jump object, but which becomes immediately problematic when a stage has several lines of text.

  What is the best practice here? I think I lack something real simple. Also, if it's important I have an author on InCopy assignments of edition we're going.

  You need:

  • 2 paragraph styles
  • 1 object model for image
  1. Specify a paragraph for the numbered list Style as stated above. (But it can be any other model also) I call it 'the list '.
  2. Specify where the image is embedded in a paragraph Style. I call it 'Anchor Image'

  I suggest you to follow the steps and check

  a. go toC:\Users\ \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Photo Gallery\Pictures.pd4
  and rename "Pictures.pd4".

  It can also help to remove all the video of the target directory files, although the screen saver will play some video formats.

  It's an investment of time very wise to make the resolution app agnostic, so that the layout is relative to the available real estate.

  In this way only a few minor assets will have to be updated and the application will still work out of the box.   According to the design of the application (i.e. using bitmaps full vs tile stuff) it might even not need to be adjusted at all.

  5.0 + provides a high quality, scaling, it is a valid option (I use it to support 5.0 320 x 240 devices, using the same assets than 7.0).

  You can do in PSE.

  1. Do the math to see how much space you'll need on your canvas to the image and text.
  2. Navigate to the file queue > new.blank. Enter the width & height, background color, resolution 72 px / in. It is your canvas, and in the layers palette will be the background layer.
  3. Copy and paste the image. It turns on a separate layer
  4. Activate the tool move, position the image and resize if necessary
  5. Activate the text tool, and then type your text. It will be on a separate so layer
  6. Position the text.
  7. Flatten layers and go to file > save for web. I'm usually on the long side about 800 px. Don't forget to check "constrain proportions". Adjust the quality slider to suit. You will probably want the type of JPEG file for web work.

  Hey all, I recently had this problem with my Adobe after effects (Version 13.2.0.49) CC. I had this on my previous version and after the update to the latest version of the software, I always get the 'After Effects error: Preview RAM needs 2 or more images for playback' each time I try preview RAM. I also have completely uninstalled and reinstalled AE and attempted to purge the of memory, but I still don't have the same error.

  
  

  Another question (not sure whether or not it is related to the error of RAM Preview?), is that when I press the play button, the green bar that is usually created at the playhead appears for 1 frame, then goes immediately after the playhead moves to the next frame.

  I believe you are trying to locate the image in the layout of tablet or phone.

  Due to lack of support on some browsers and Smartphones, pinning is disabled in Muse for Tablet and smartphone layouts.

  You can see this feature in future versions of Adobe Muse.

  You can use the scroll effect to achieve this as a solution.

  Select your items you want "pinned" and open your scrolling check Motion Control Panel the check box for the movement and the value of all the values to zero.

• After effects 13.1.3 constantly give the error message is: "2 or more images for playback needs.

  I After Effects 13.1.3 and I use a mac 2011 pro 17 "with 16 GB of ram, but I have a project I have I am not able to work because of After Effects not being not able to make more then an image at a time. When I go to the RAM preview it says "after effects error: Preview RAM 2 or more images for playback needs.» This phenomenon occurred as soon as I opened Adobe Premiere at the same time, but this is not the case and more. It is all the time. I can open a project, but after a little less than 3 minutes, he returned to make only an image. Purge memory doesn't do absolutely nothing, purge in fact anything actually the problem come immediately.

  I experienced all of these problems. The only solution is to units of my operating system and install night of striped and as a filmmaker doing all the 6 months is unacceptable. It's a waste of my time and my money. Get Adobe together!

  Hi Kristina,

  You can disable the image that you have pasted above and also to create a toggled State for all menu items. In fact, there are 4 States: Normal, rollover, mouse and mouse down, but you will use usually two images because some States share the same image. Next, you need to use the menu widget and provide your cutting of images for all States in this widget.   Less familiar with CSS than Bob does, I managed by defining a paragraph style for the title that has a large amount of the space below.

  While white space (returns, etc.) is ignored when InDesign generates the CSS, styles of paragraph with space before and after are converted into equivalent CSS settings.
