Images high resolution that I import in indesign appear in a very bad definition on-screen and when exported to pdf, they are still quite far from the original. Perhaps to address these problems?

The bad export quality could be linked to the pre-selection of PFD you have chosen. Some of the presets are designed to re - sample images to make a smaller final PDF

  • Can I use still images high resolution in Keynote?

Prepare a presentation in Keynote that requires a lot of photos/movies - it is to be broadcast from an international conference in the world.  So I don't want to spoil.

I have some high resolution photos (the originals were RAW, I converted them to PNG).  I want to build my speech with the high-resolution PNG, or what I want to batch convert to JPEG before their insertion in the speech?  What would be an optimal size by peak.  There are probably about 100 stills or so, more than a dozen of short films (that's an hour and a half presentation I think).

Or, if I don't use a high-resolution PNG (15-20 megs), is there a function in Keynote, which reduces the size of the files?

And, if so, I'm better batch convert PNG to JPEG, or simply use the PNG and let Keynote optimization?

For movies I'll all convert H264 (same resolution - 1920 x 1080 - Keynote presentation using the same optimal data rate that you would use for Vimeo).

    All ears,

    Ben

Size of the images to match the slide size in Keynote;   in this case, they should be 1920 x 1080 pixels

because they are PNG files keep than

Convert a batch of images as follows:

Open all of the batch of images in preview

Select all the thumbnails in the sidebar - click on an image in the sidebar then (Command-A)

on the Tools menu, choose Adjust size

use the custom size and enter 1929 x 1080

    Save

Place the images in Keynote, as follows: drag all the images in the browser (the sidebar on the left) and a new slide will be created for each image, centered and scaled to full screen

If images are larger than the size of slide, they look better, they simply more space

If the images are smaller than the size of slide, they will reduce in quality

  • What is the best way to archive images high resolution for cloud storage?

I have a library of 100 gigabytes. Is it possible to retain the vignettes catalog and image on my computer, but archive images high resolution for cloud storage somewhere in order to save space on my hard drive? If so, is it possible that Lightroom can automatically recover if they are needed, IE. If I want to print or export the image?

Lightroom does not really work with images cloud storage.

If you want to archive the images in the cloud, you will need to do this manually and get the images manually. (Which means there are plenty of chances to make a mistake, and so I do not recommend this unless you are sure to 100%, you know what you're doing in both the fine mist of things and with Lightroom)

Or you could buy an external HD, which are relatively expensive and move the photos here.

  • How to improve latency when using images high resolution

I use a lot of images high resolution in my iBook, which creates a lot of lag when using author ibooks.  I have an end of 2015 with skylake processor i7 iMac and a decent amount of video ram.  Is it possible to improve this gap without use the workarounds like spreading the images until the end?  This is a limitation of the application?  I am able to work with images in Lightroom quickly with little or no lag, why I have this experience with ibooks author?

It was common to use the placeholder images while editing, simply because of the question, you say.

Regarding the ram, better for computer max (video ram isn't the issue) in all cases, but with the new Macs after having soldered to the ram, which can be difficult to correct after the purchase.

Shame to see iBA still suffers this awkwardness, but oh well.

I have a new computer and try opening PDFs from other web sites. They are not open. What should I do to open these files?

Thank you for your help, but I thought about it.  It was very simple & silly, something I would have thought from the outset. I had to add permissions to the pop-up blocker. Silly me had a "blonde moment"... no offense to blondes, just using the cliché. Laughing out loud!!

  • How to export to PDF with crop marks * and * an image high resolution?

HI - firstly, apologies - I have another query here and this is a related issue. Because I have been unable to solve this problem, which is with InDesign CS5, I downloaded the demo of InDesign CC, as I work at a date limit.

OK, so I'm used to be able to export PDF files of high quality with crop marks in CS5. That's what I want to do with my file.

In InDesign CC, it seems that if I simply 'export', I don't give me no option to add placemarks of crop, even if the file is configured to have a bleed.

If I rather 'print' in Adobe PDF format, I * can * add crop marks. However, I then lose the option to export images in high resolution (300 dpi), and they come out pixelated.

Maybe I'm missing something, but for now it seems to me that I have a choice of images of high quality but without crop marks or crop marks and bad quality images!

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thank you!

PDF presets are the same in InDesign CC, they are in InDesign CS5.

Choose file > export > Adobe PDF (Print)

Simply choose a preset PDF which defines the resolution of the image in order to treat his high enough for your printing. There is also an option to print the Page guides and funds lost.

  • Beautiful images high resolution in photoshop look looking terribly pixelated when scaled down in movement 5... How can I avoid this?

I'm working on a project with a customer logo and title... both are downloaded from the internet in high resolution and crisp and wonderful look in Photoshop. However, when I drop in my 1, 080 x 1, 080 5 movement project and adapts them to the size, they must be in animation, all this freshness becomes terribly pixelated.

It looks like a problem of aliasing to me... the text generated by movement in my document looks great, so I guess that's not a draft too low resolution (1, 080 x 1, 080 seems high enough resolution for me!). I'm fairly new to Motion, so I feel like there's just something obvious that I forget... any help is appreciated!

If the logos are available on the internet, please post a link to one or more of them, then we can see what the issue might be. The only way (in general) occurs in images pixelation is if the scale becomes higher than 100%. Which can happen even if you are down, but with the help of a camera view revision or position Z to make the image appear closer.

Is there something else on the project involving a zoom, positioning, and/or put across?

  • Complex script to automate the Conversion of Images high resolution for the Web

I use Actions in Photoshop (currently using CS4) all the time, but have never tapped into the scripting features, so please forgive me if these questions are obvious.

The basic description of my project is simply creating web images in jpg format, among our library of high-resolution print images.

We have a folder with a copy of all the images we need to convert. File types from TIF, PSD, EPS, and JPG.

    The challenges (for me) are:

    1. these images vary in orientation to be big or wide; I need the higher between dimensions, whether the height or the width, 400 pixels; and then I need to canvas has added to the other dimension to make the picture a perfect square of 400 x 400. I don't know how, or if I can, do PS choose the bigger dimensions, to 400 px.

    2. some of these images have clipping paths; I need to use these roads to clear the background in the pictures; the names of these masks are not the same in each image.

Thus, the basic flow of the script would open the file; Set the maximum size to 400 px; Add a blank canvas to fill the other dimension and that also make 400px; use an image clipping path if it has one to erase the background of the image. Save for web in jpg format, adding "-400" at the end of the name of the file (but before the '.jpg'); size 115 value and save for web, by adding '-115' to the name. value size 80 and save for web, by adding '-80' to the name.

A new version has been downloaded more than PS - Scripts Sean this now creates a record of each file selected with the name of "JPEG" and there the possibility to include subfolders.

Good day and welcome to the community Chrizztof.

    Since you mention the X1C resolution 1600 x 900, I guess you consider computer either a Gen1 / Gen2.

Here is the detail for each pages:

    Gen1 - Type 34xx
    https://support.Lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-X-series-laptops/ThinkPad-x1...

There is support for an external monitor through VGA Dongle
Maximum external resolution: up to 2560 x 1600

    Gen2 - Types A 20, 7, 20A 8
    https://support.Lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-X-series-laptops/ThinkPad-x1...

Just for comparison, here is the link Gen3:

    Gen3 - 20BS, 20BT Types
    https://support.Lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-X-series-laptops/ThinkPad-x1...

    Max resolution: 3840 x 2160 (Mini DisplayPort) @60 Hz; 4096 x 2304 (HDMI) @24 Hz

Note that the Gen2 page does not have a specific indication of the external monitor supported maximum resolution. If I find more detailed resources, I'll post them.

I hope this helps a little.

    Kind regards.
