Images not opening

I drop the images loaded onto an SD card, then to the shortcut, and I deleted the pictures on the SD card. How can I get the images to open them, I can see them but they are so small on size as an icon on the desktop at the top of the page. I tried to get the SD card but no pictures are there. Help! Please someone!

If they went a shortcut, then they are not on your PC. The 'shortcut' simply points to the location pictures, that was on your SD card.

To confirm, look in the folder on your PC where you "copied" files. If the file size is 5KB or less, which is not the photos.

If that is correct, it is possible that you can always recover the deleted photos from your SD card if you have a SD card reader on your PC. To do that you will need to install the app Recuva.

After installation, place the SD card into the SD card reader. After it has been recognized by Windows Explorer, start Recuva and tell her to look in the SD reader (select it from the window menu drop-down) to remove photos (photos by selecting"in the Options window.) The term "Scan" and wait for the results.

  • image files do not open anywhere

I know that it is an old Mac. And he has been replaced by a slick of Macbook Air. But it was convenient to scan images. Mac itself will not open the TIF Image Capture done file. I can open PNG files in the preview, but not in iPhoto. Cannot move them to my Windows machine, which is what I have to do.

Returned to preview and tried I tried SAVE AS with all variations of TIFF, GIF. Neither Windows nor the new Macbook Air will open one of these. It is terrible because I spent a good amount of time and energy on digitization. But the fact that even the Mac won't open the files that he has done is quite stunning. Any ideas? Re-scan these will hurt.

  • I downloaded Adobe camera raw 8.4 so that I can open raw files with pictures taken with the camera Sony a6000.  However, it does not open images in camera raw.  What can I do?

I downloaded Adobe camera raw 8.4 so that I can open raw files with pictures taken with the camera Sony a6000.  However, it does not open images in camera raw.  What can I do?

I suggest you please update Camera Raw 9.1.1: Camera Raw of Adobe Photoshop CC and CS6 Installer

Once done, launch Photoshop and click Help > about plug-in > Camera Raw.

And check the version of Camera Raw, you see there, it should be the most recent.

  • Photoshop CS6 will not open the file image (.jpg, .dng and .cr2)

    Hello

I recently reinstalled my laptop (64-bit) Windows 7 Pro. It has all the necessary Windows updates.

I installed Photoshop CS6 (64 and 32-bit) and I've installed all the updates it needs.

It will not open any JPG or RAW, .tif, .jpg, .dng and .cr2 files. Before you reinstall Windows Photoshop worked well.

When I try to open an image file that Photoshop does not open, so the file type is associated with Photoshop, but that's all. The software is running, but it won't open the jpg or tif, and it does not open Camera Raw to display the RAW file.

If I double-click on a new image, then a new instance of Photoshop is open, in addition to the already open instance, but still no picture.

If I click file-open and navigate to the file it will then open in Photoshop and Camera Raw 9.1.1 and the picture shows successfully.

    Strange!

The only thing I think currently, is that I have 2 partitions on the laptop, with C: and a D: readers, with the users folder, which is held on D. Photoshop is confused by there? Well it is exactly how the laptop has always been in place, and it was already defined in this way before Photoshop has been installed.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall. I tried to install just Photoshop 64 Bit, not 32 bit (I don't really know why I get the two offered, to be honest.)

I am now lost and would like to receive helpful suggestions!

    I "solved" this problem!

It seems that Photoshop won't open these files from a Windows 7 'Library' that points to a redirected folder.

However, if I create a mapped drive with a drive letter local, the actual path of the files, (for example \\Server\FolderRedirections\Michael\Pictures), then it works OK.

It is a good work-round and it makes no difference to me if I use a mapped drive or library I put just one correct, in the section 'Favorites' from Windows Explorer.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, that helped me a lot. I hope this answer helps someone else, even if my situation may not be a common scenario.

  • Jpeg images LR edit in PS, but will not open raw images

Good day, LR, I can use (Image/Edit in Photoshop 2014) and JPEGs open in the editor of camera raw.  Don't leave no not what I expected, but ok.   When I use LR (Image/Edit in Photoshop 2014) on image raw, CR2 files, photoshop opens but the file is never open in PS or the 9.0 of Camera Raw.

    Troubleshooting:

    * Checked several times and all appllications, CC, CR9.0, PS2014 and LR 2015 are up-to-date.

    * PS is open directly the raw, CR2 file in Camera Raw 9.0 without difficulty... as expected.

    Thank you, Marty

    Evening Gents,

With the help of Udit Tuli teriffic to Adobe support, we were able to correct the problem.   He took control of my system and was able to see the question of LR jpeg files can be opened in PS but raw (CR2) images would launch PS but the images would not open in the application.   Udit carefully entered the directory structure and set asside the customization files for guard duty.   Then using the application of Creative Cloud it only uninstalled PS and then reinstalled PS it took time but once the problem has been fixed and my customization has been preserved... all very friendly and I am extremely grateful.

    Hi Ferdinand12345,

Canon 7 d mark II was included in the ACR 8.7. I advise you to wait for the camera 8.7 gross to release.

In the meantime you can go to labs.adobe.com and download the DNG 8.7 converter and convert the files to DNG and then try to import.

    Thank you
