IMAP is not supposed to retrieve emails from the server only? In my case, all mails are downloaded to my mac and I can see the offline!

  listener email from B2B will mark as deleted read mail
  so no matter the imap/pop3. This is the behavior.

  Just to clarify... You're getting failure to deliver notices of the administrator for the emails that you do not send? Who would say that your account has been hacked or hijacked and used to spam fire. First things first, change your password to something random, with capital letters and numbers.   Are you sure that you look at the correct storage folder?

  If you are not interested in the search for missing messages, and you just want to clean it, move the 7 messages to a user created folder. Close OE and delete the Inbox.dbx file. A new one will be created automatically when you open OE and IIRC, it should be 139KO in size for an empty Inbox.

  If you try to retrieve messages, post back before doing anything.

  General precautions for Outlook Express:

  Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

  After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.
