IMAQ AVI2 writing Frame question

I am using the AVI2 IMAQ write vi framework to create an AVI file from images generated by a PCIe-1433 and a series camera Basler Ace.

Whenever I try to use the AVI2 IMAQ write framework vi he missed my applicaton. The result is that loose I frames and my program becomes unrespsonsive. I tried to put the AVI2 IMAQ write setting in a loop from consumers hoping that if I feed it to my things in the main loop will speed up, but it still bogs down my program.

If I take 10 seconds or more data and stop the program, and then it takes about half an hour to clear the queue and write all these images on the disk. It is simply unacceptable. How to speed up the generation of the AVI file of the frameworks I caught?

My current settings on the save the AVI file are a rate of 30 frames per second, 250 quality and using the Cinepak Codec of Radius for encoding. The camera has the two camera cables installed, so I think I'm running the camera in complete configuration mode (not basic, but I'm not sure). I was 100 fps earlier and caused substantial problems, so I slow fps. Ideally, I would like to be able to turn this to the faster frame rate.

I intend to try experimenting the value of fps and the Codec to see if I can improve performance, but no entry or help would be greatly appreciated.

Motion JPEG is MJPEG.

You can also use any third-party codec that can be installed and used by the functions the AVI (Windows). There are some commercial existing ones and who can use the hardware acceleration features more and new compression (such as H.264) codecs, but the MJPEG one included with NI Vision is very good.

  • IMAQ AVI2 write leak memory frame

There is a bug report.  Writing great images 2160 x 1080 AVI file without compression CODECs causes the memory usage go back upwards, until LabVIEW fundamentally exceeds the limit of 8 GB memory and stops processing the images.

    Hi John,.

I reproduced it and classified CAR 428325 for her. At first glance it seems to be only a problem when the color of the AVI format does not match the format of the input images you write. In your case you pass U8 images in but the written video AVI, YUV (color) images. If you pass the VI to create IMAQ to create images of RGB32 instead, the leak disappears. Switching to Y800 AVI format (uncompressed monochrome) instead of changing the side of the entrance shows no leaks either.

If you do not actually want the disparity of monochrome image processing and color AVI format, you can work around this problem by putting a VI Cast into your code to convert the U8 RGB32 image before writing in the AVI file.

  • Format "uncompressed" IMAQ AVI2 create?

Since the upgrade to SP1 2012 LV, I noticed that the most recent module "AVI2 IMAQ create" does not seem to write .avi files uncompressed in the same way as the old one (IMAQ AVI create).  For compatibility, I need to use video uncompressed; It seems that the new version allows only "uncompressed Y800 Grey Scale" video, which is not understood by my (W7 x 64) operating system, so Windows Explorer cannot draw miniatures or open in media player - this is useful for previewing and organization of the videos.  ImageJ and VirtualDub have no problem opening videos.

It is not clear what form uses "AVI IMAQ create" older default - whatever it is, it worked well! Various astronomy forums have suggested to install ICcapture to provide a codec Y800 for WMP, but it does not work for me.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thank you

  • Compression filter incompatible error-1074396007 took place at IMAQ AVI write Frame

OK, so I have two computers.
On one of them, the VI works fine, on the other hand, I get an error and no AVI file.

I'm taking a bunch of tif files and compression of AVI file with Compression Indeo® video 5.10 filter.
Two computers running Windows XP.  He who works is more older and slower (but still quite new, 2 years old).  The news that does not work is a dual core with 3 GB of RAM.
One difference is that with the old computer Labview is installed on the C drive with windows.  On the new computer Labview is installed on a second partition (drive D) while windows is installed on drive C.

Initially the demo write avi file and compare the VI compression filters would not work on the new computer, but after upgrading Direct X version 9 and restart the computer, they work now.  With the compare compression VI IndeoR 5.10 Compression filter filter example video works fine.

When I try to start my VI (joint) on the new computer it works, but I get an error (error-1074396007 is produced through the filter of compression IMAQ AVI write Incompatible framework.) Possible reasons: IMAQ Vision: Incompatible compression filter (Hex 0xBFF60499).) and no avi file is produced.  When I run other filters with the VI, I get an avi file which works fine!

I have NEITHER Vision 8.2.1 installed on both computers.  On the old computer, I also have older versions of Labview installed.

I even is gone to the windows/system32 and found the CODEC (ir50_32.dll) on the old computer and copied and replaced the version I had on the new computer.  This had no effect.

A reflection as to why I get this error?

Adding a strip of 2 worked, so I guess that the div by 4 the rule applies.  Thank you.

  • CS6 Poster frame questions

I do a blu - ray with several videos player, and for the menus pop up I put of poster frames. As you can see in the picture, I put the poster frames appear as I had intended, but when I put blu - ray in a blu - ray player, only some of the frameworks posters appear, while others show that at the beginning of each video. Does anyone know a possible fix for this? I know to set the poster frame, you must select the first chapter (so it's red) then scroll up to where you want the poster frame and set it.

    Screen Shot 2016-07-16 at 4.29.26 PM.png

Update: I thought that this would work, and he did. I just rebooted again (after, of course) and then burned blu - ray again, and the reinforcement of poster work very well. I figured because the poster frames that worked, I did until I got saved/restarted the app pretty stupid bug, but well.

  • Freeze Frame questions

I began with a clip of a person running, I have split the clip, deleted part and uttered the 2 collars to back together. I then duplicated the bottom layer and right-click > time > freeze frame

    1. how hide you the still image in the layers? I try to hide the duplicate layer and that it does not. I went ahead and hid all my layers and the still picture is still there.

    2. the default duration of freeze frame was 0:00:05:14 I double-clicked on the small square on the layer time remapping and changed to 0:00:00:30 just a test, and when I go back to check it out, it's still now showing 0:00:01:06 and it displays any other freeze frame in the Composition window?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Jeff Wright wrote:

Now just for clarification, I duplicated a layer and make a stop on image where was the read head and the entire layer became the freeze frame, so it is more video. Is it the way it is supposed to be?

Yes. It's precisely what you were asking to do.

If you want the video to play down there and THEN it freezes, you have options.

Option 1: Apply the time remap your video layer. Set a new keyframe for the time remapping effect to the place you want it freezes. Delete all future keyframes.

Option 2: Divide your video layer (Ctrl + Shift + D on Windows, command + shift + D on Mac) to where you want the freeze frame and apply fixed as you did in the new layer.

There are a few other ways, but these two are the most simple.

    Jeff Wright wrote:

I want to use the stylus to rotoscoping the freeze frame. Regardless of where the current-time indicator is at the stop on image when I start using the pen tool? It seems that I do rotoscoping standing on entire image?

It does not matter where ICT is when you use the pen tool. A mask will be applied to the whole layer. If you want a mask to animate, you can keyframe the mask path property.

  • Merged overlay do not save to AVI

    LV2013/Vision 2013

In a loop, I'm grabbing images from a camera using the Vision Acquisition express vi.  In the output image, I add a time text overlay System (e.g., 11:23:56.489).  The overlay is pure white text on a pure black background.  I then send this picture that emerges through the Overlay.vi to merge destructively place the overlay on the image.  I then save this image as an image in an AVI with IMAQ AVI2 write Frame.vi.  On the image LV front panel indicator, the image shows the timestamp.  However, the saved AVI file does not work.  The AVI file shows images, as if the overlay was never there.  It's as if fusion Overlay.vi has not actually made a destructive merge and IMAQ AVI2 write Frame.vi just throw it away.  Anyone have any idea why the overlay is not appear in the AVI file?

    Thank you

    Dave

Be sure to associate a DST (U32) RGB Image Fusion VI overlay.

  • reading in avi files frames

During playback of AVI files, I get an error when you try to read the frame 870 or greater:

Error 1074395967 has occurred to IMAQ AVI2 read image

    Possible reasons:

IMAQ Vision: (Hex 0xBFF604C1) AVI error reading framework

Is this a limitation of the system? I have the problem even if you use the AVI read example.

I tried to slow down the reading (2 FPS it wa), but he is always stopped at 870 framework.

I then replaced the AVI2 with AVI vi vi: everything works well now! Opening the file now going as fast.

I also tried the 64-bit version of LabView, but with the original AVI2 files, he too stopped at 870 fram!

  • How to transmit frames CAN cyclically inside a loop obey the emission data informed BCD?

    Hi all!

I don't know if I don't completely understand the behavior of the situation below. I use LabVIEW 2014 and PXI-8513 card under Windows.

    NOR-XNET help reading I understood:

Cyclical data : the data frame transmitted cyclically (periodical). The period is defined in the "transmission data" field in the properties BOX of the framework in the DBC file.

But how the transmission time can obey informed transmission data in DBC file if I call the XNET write VI in a loop with a waiting inside? I don't know if I fully understand how it works in a while loop.

I watch the program below, how writing would behave?

While the loop contains a "wait until the next multiple ms" 100 and the signal selected database (dbc) has a transmission time of 0.02 s (20ms), how many times would the framework passed in the first loop?

If your answer is "Although the time of transmitting the frame is 0.02 s in this case writing is written only once", I have another question: How can I keep a loop writing frames obeying the time of transmission of the image of the CBD? Consider that I have signals selected different frameworks at different times to transmit.

    Thanks in advance!

When you use the XNET write Point with Single mode, it updates the value that will be transmitted according to the schedule specified in the XNET (DBC file) database. If you call multiple entries before the frame was transmitted, only the last value written shuts down during the NPC.

If you look in the help file XNET under the API OR-XNET for LabVIEW-> Sessions-> Modes of Session, you will find information, including an example of how it works.

In your example - if you have a timing loop of 100ms, but your message cyclic time is 1s, then will send you only the last value of 'editorial' more message cycle time. If your timing loop is 100ms, but your message time is 10ms, so you pass the value even 10 times (about... windows calendar and all that).

In essence, you CAN transmitting frame continues to run in the background according to the time where you specified in the DBC file, but you can then update the values which are transmitted asynchronously using the single-point VI write.

If you want to check the values passed are updated every time - you must use the stream or queue mode and your frames to the output of the buffer. That, or you must use a RT target that can update the data in a deterministic way.

  • IMAQ - SGL in RGB? JPG, save the AVI recording problem...

    Hi all..

Currently, I am working on a project concerning the treatment of the infrared image...

I'm currently building saving Image Photo and recording function avi video...

What I have to do is save the image with the color palette selected to user in format JPG and AVI...

The problem is my image data type is gray (SGL) and the only support of "IMAQ AVI write Frame.vi / writing file (JPG)" the image of U8 and U32 RGB type...

I am trying to cast the type, but since we don't have the vision of labview license... so I don't have the "Imaq Cast Image.vi" to treat the good cast...

Is there some way could solve my problem?

    Thanks for any help...

  • using hotspot as a provider of Internet services to delay questions express airport

I have an Airport Express 2nd generation. I've set up as a home network with no ISP due the fact that I can't get an ISP where I live. I use it for connectivity to all my other apple and mac products, over some generic devices. I go through the implementation of change the settings to ignore the Internet LAN Ethernet, allowing me to have my network. So this is where it gets me confused after a few hours or a device is disconnected. So to continue. Then I take my Netgear wntce2001 streaming single channel device/path/device that I bought. now only available as a wntce2003 dealer local. I go into my menu of the hotspot browser, (Netgear 779 s aircard) and access my WPS in place. The Netgear wntce2001 at this stage only powered with one reset fees, like its new. Push button WPS on my Netgear select wntce2001 WP / parring on my browser and let them connect. At this point the Airport express will amber. Using AirPort Utility I get the double NAT message with options to switch to bridge mode. It all works very well. Now I can use all my Apple products to get on the line and play my generation 4 Apple tv, etc etc. Here's the problem when I remove my Hotspot or it turns off. I'm locked out/unable to join my ISP network wireless access point, that I created.  my book pro Mac will recognize is no longer the Hotspot may not use a web browser to access my hotspot and any other personal devices or belonging to my friends can see or access the HotSpot. Until I drive a half-mile away with her. Or perform a Factory reset fresh out of the box on my Airport express. Even if I remove the hotspot (short drive) then back it's always invisible until I get back from the Airport express. Once I reset the AirPort Express and reset all my other devices. I can rebuild the network and use it as I'm writing this Question (letter). Is anyone know why and how I can solve this problem. In short having a provider. Hotspot demographically impossible only internet access...  Thanks to an old man persisted.

If I were in your situation... the first thing I would do, is check the wireless internet provider, which is an ISP btw... If they can sell you or recommend a router Ethernet instead of a hotspot. An access point has loads of limits and is not very well at all apple hardware.

I confess that reading your description of how make you it work, it does not look good.

I suspect that one of the main issues is the limited number of intellectual property which generally offer wireless ISPS... 5 is the common number.

You are really not on the express of all... the devices are connect to the hotspot... and when something happens, you have exhausted all of the IP addresses.

In any case we can begin to do some tests to prove it.

Please post screenshots of the current configuration of the express with all this work to your satisfaction,

I need the page summary of airport utility. That is to say it.

Click on the button to edit, and then give me the Internet tab, tab wireless and Network tab screenshots.

  • myRIO video recording Question

    Howdy all!

I am currently using a camera to create a video on a flash drive. The camera and USB are connected to a myRIO, so both work with the myRIO. I have to the were completely failed in creating anything again.

I created my VI using the example of capture and record to AVI and only changed the save location. Whenever I run the code, an error occurs after the IMAQ AVI2 Create function: error-1074396070. It simply indicates that "IMAQ Vision: unsupported function.»

My suspicion is that the myRIO does not support functions for video creation, because the program works fine on my laptop when I run without the myRIO. I've updated the drivers on the myRIO, but the problem persists.

If myRIO does not support the Vision, is there another way I can save video using the myRIO?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    -Aggieimperator

Well, I checked on a 1900 and I could not also get AVI functions to work. I suspect that they are not supported by the myRIO. Would you rather save the pictures on the flash drive and then convert them to an AVI file?

  • Why some AVI format doesn't work properly with IMAQ?

I tried to do a job with handling the AVI files in labeled, but it seems that mine will not work. Whenever I try to load, I get the error:

Error 1074396005 has occurred to IMAQ AVI2 close

    Possible reasons:

    IMAQ Vision: Session invalid AVI.

What is strange, is that some AVI files will be read fine. If someone could explain why I see this error or how to convert my AVI files to the correct version, I would be happy. I have attached two files. The touchdown, one will not work. The ball marked a will.

  • How can I be sure that if I write a frame on the bus with success?

    Hello

I use XNET to write and read the structure. I wonder how can I be sure that the writing frame on the bus is successful? I mean without using the XNET-monitor or something. Are there any screws or propertynode to set after the XNET Write.vi to let me know if I really write an image in the bus or not?

    THX.

It's been a while since I looked, but I vaguely remember that (at least with the C of FPGA OR-CAN-modules of the series) there is a function/method/configuration setting that allows to configure the module echo all the (or just the error frames) sent executives to the side of the reception.

Also, I think you're supposed to be able to assume that if you get an error when writing, she has been sent successfully. (But even I'm not convinced...)
