iMessage: "an error has occurred during authentication.

iMessage on my Mac began acting yesterday and is not synchronized with my phone and then stopped working completely.  I disconnected and tried to reconnect, but got this error message:

Can not connect to iMessage.

An error occurred during activation. Try again.

I disconnected iCloud on my Mac, reconnected and tried to open a session in iMessage, but got the same error.  I tried my wife apple ID and password and got the same error message.

Does anyone have an ideas?

This could be a difficult problem to solve, as there are several possible causes for this. Please test after taking each of the steps that you have not already tried it. Back up all data before making any changes.

Before proceeding, test on another network, if possible. This could be a Wi - Fi access point public, if your computer is portable, or a cellular network, if you have a mobile device that can share its Internet connection. If you find that iMessage works on the other network, the problem is in your network or your ISP, not in your computer.

Step 1

Check the status of the service. If the service is stopped, wait until he comes back upward. There may be a power outage, localized, even if the indicator is green.

Step 2

In the menu bar, select

 ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Date & time zone ▹

The nearest town from there where you are should be selected on the map.

Step 3

Disconnect you iMessage and FaceTime on all your Apple devices. Sign out and then sign back in. Try to connect again.

Restart your router and your device at wide band, if they are separated. You may skip this step if you don't control these devices.

Step 5

Follow these instructions to view the serial number of the machine. If the number is missing or invalid according to the web form, take the machine to an Apple Store or another service center authorized to correct the problem.

Step 6

The measures suggested in this support article. If you do not understand some of the steps or leads them not, ask for advice. Note in particular that the email address associated to your identifier Apple should be checked. If the address is in the field obsolete mac.com, you will have to change.

Step 7

In the menu bar, select

 ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Network

If the preferences window is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Click the Advanced button, and then select the Proxies tab. If the SOCKS Proxy box is checked, uncheck it. You don't need to change other parameters in the window. Click OK, and then apply. Test.

The result may be that you can not connect to Internet at all. Cancel the change, if any, or if iMessage still does not work. Remember that you must apply changes made in the preferences window to take effect.

Step 8

Select in the menu bar

 ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Flash Player ▹ storage

and click on

Block all sites to store information on this computer

Close the preferences window.

Step 9

Make sure that you know the ID and the password you use with iMessage. Launch the Keychain Access application in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

Use the search box in the toolbar of the Keychain Access window to find and remove all items containing "iMessage" or "com.apple.idms" in the name. Sign out and then sign back in.

Step 10

Select connections comments * and log in as a guest. Do not use the Safari connection only 'user comments' created by 'find my Mac '.

While signed in as a guest, you won't have access to your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you use them for the first time. Don't worry about that; It's normal. If you need any password or other personal information in order to complete the test, save, print, or write them before you start.

Test while signed in as a guest. After testing, log on to the guest account and in your own account, disable it if you wish. The files that you created in the guest account will be automatically deleted when you log out of it.

* Note: If you have enabled 'find my Mac' or FileVault, then you cannot activate the guest account. The login 'User comments' created by 'Find my Mac' is not the same. Create an account to test and delete it, including his home folder, after testing.

If iMessage worked in the guest account, stop here and post your results.

Step 11

Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a Fusion drive or a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including his outputand Wi - Fi on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

The login screen is displayed even if you normally connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

Test in safe mode. After testing, restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and test again.

If iMessage worked in safe mode, but still does not work when you restart in 'normal' mode, stop here and post your results.

Step 12

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select this option:

/Library/Preferences/com.apple.apsd.plist

Right-click or Ctrl-click on the highlighted line and select

Services ▹ reveal in Finder (or just to reveal)

Step 13

Reset the NVRAM.

Step 14

Reset the controller (SMC) system management.

Step 15

Reinstalling OS X.

Step 16

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, make an appointment 'Genius' on an Apple Retail Store or contact Apple's Support. When you configure a support call, select "Apple ID" as the product that you need help, not model material. In this way, if you're not under AppleCare, you can talk your way out of being charged for the call.

    I currently have an application called "Apa Doanya' (id 33020976) for BB 7 and below. Now, I created another version of it for BB10. To publish this version BB10, I created a new application named also "Apa Doanya' (id 46317888), download the file bar, but not yet to introduce the new application for review. Later, I changed my mind, I want to release this BB10 version under the name of my current application so that I can keep the sides and the current download figures. So in my application, I added a new version, download the folder bar and increment the version 1.1.0. But I got an error when recording on step 5, he said:

    Yes, the problem is now RESOLVED. It was, I think, a bug/error on their part (support of the seller) so they erased the package id (I quote: "the package ID has been deleted.").

    I recently bought a drone DJI Phantom 3 kind have been treatment of videos more than usual and not have not had any problems. I use Lightroom for cataloging movies and I use the first to change.

    Since yesterday, I was not able to import any movie that I get the following error

    Initially, I thought that it was due to a spectacular crash of drone (Physics isn't SHE!) who corrupted the file that was being logged, m ais I can now no longer import any movie to Lightroom.


    I tried the following

    1. a different memory with a new registration card

    2 removing and re - import an old movie

    3. to remove and re-import and old movie created by another camera

    4. to remove Lightroom and rolling back to the previous version of LR CC (CC 2015 [1014445])-had the advantage of getting rid of the annoying new import dialog screen. -

    5. upgrade to El Capitan to see if maybe OSX update may help.


    None of them had no effect, can anyone help?

    • I tried to move my catalog and PE6 install to a new computer.  This is on a Dell Windows XP machine, and I moved it to a Toshiba Windows 7 (64-bit) machine.  I always kept my photo on an external hard drive files.  My library is 50 GB, 10,000 files.  Here's what I did.
      • Copied the original PE6 installation file on the Toshiba.  Installed but not activate it.
      • Copied my catalog folder to the location of the Windows 7.
      • Plug the external drive into the Toshiba.  So makes that same letter drive as a front.
      • Fired up to PE6 on Toshiba.  Seemed fine in the Organizer.  Everything seemed to be there, but I didn't try to make any changes at this time there.
      • PE6 disabled on the Dell.  Enabled on the Toshiba.

    • Then I realized that it is not fair.  I can edit the keywords and the stars rating on photos, but not the dates, legends or notes.  I get "an error has occurred during playback of files or write files to a disk." The drive is may be full, or there may be problems with the source media. »
    • Only a fraction of the external drive is in use.
    • I can access the files on the external hard drive with another application (Windows Photo Viewer).
    • I tried the reconnect All missing files.  Somewhat ambiguous, she said "There are no files to reconnect."

    Well, the recommended method for moving the catalog is to use organizer of the PSE6 on your old computer to do a full backup on your DHM.  (Which backs up the catalog and media files).  Then, on your new computer, open the Organizer PSE6 and restore from this backup.

    My account is a member of the administrator group, and I can restart normally through the Services Control Panel.  I have tried to turn the UAC settings all the way down, but still this message.

    I had exactly the same problem:

    1. new installation of windows 7
    2. net start MSSQLSERVER fails with "Access denied" from the command window, but works at the start of Service Control Manager
    3. connected as a user of Directors of the Group - same account used for the automatic start
    4. I tried the above steps to register. They do not work.
    5. I tried to settle my UAC account at the lowest possible level, as recommended in another forum. It also did not work.
    I was amazed by the number of desperate people with similar problems - and apparently some resolutions there. I've used Windows 3.1, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP a few years back and then switch to Mac OS X and Linux. Now, I'm hard to get used to this kind of problem again, (sigh) Windows.
    In any case, one of my colleagues just came and gave me an easy solution. He said that the problem is that your user 'administrator' is not ' administrator enough "-go figure. In fact, being in the Administrators group is not the same as being THE administrator account.
    1. create a shortcut to 'cmd.exe' on your desktop.
    2. click right on the shortcut and select "run as Administrator".
    3. in the command window that opens, "net start MSSQLSERVER" works
    Good. So now I can go on this restart-SQL-Server-when-it-decides-to-die script for our customer site. Another sad story of Microsoft...

    Once knock you all services gives netstat - a | grep 8300 to check if something is still hanging on the port. If you get kill PID - 9 use to clear the process, if its process of hanging on port and no found PID then you may need to restart the server to clean.

    partially solves the problem.  I still maintain that if Microsoft really cared, it would provide a free 24/7 real tech support and charge not $295 (CAD) to submit a technical support request problems they create themselves.  Sorry for the tone, I don't want to troll, I'm just mad for having spent the last 6 hours of my life trying to understand why a single redistributable that worked well has stopped working recently.

  • PBM error has occurred PreMigrateCheckCallback: connection refused

    Hello

    I just of disconnected and my 5.5 U2 ESXi hosts removed from inventory an old 5.5 VCSA and added to a new VCSA 6.0 but now vMotion fails with the error: a general error occurred: PBM error has occurred during the PreMigrateCheckCallback: connection refused

    All VMkernels can ping each other and no network configuration have been made.

    Any help is appreciated!

    VMware vSphere Profile-Driven Storage service (vmware-sps) wasn't so I started it and vMotion started working again.
