  If you have a Pop email account, then it will look at the Inbox on the server, and download whatever it either has not been downloaded and mark as new unread mail.   Default LR stores all changes in the catalog file, not in the pictures. So if you have a backup of your original catalog you will need to copy on the newly rebuilt system and open it in LR. You will then need to recreate a link to the images in the catalog depending on where are your images and where the original LR catalogue think they are.

  Edit: Oops, I see that you have configured it to submit by e-mail. If you have created your own button submit, you can add an additional JavaScript action after the action of 'Submit form' which uses the app.alert method to display a message to the user. Something like:

• E-mail messages cannot be marked as read automatically when they are read?

  Instead of having to physically push a button to "Mark as read" after the opening of each email, why didn't they just mark themselves automatically as they are clicked on and read? Not which seems logical? All other mail clients I've ever used has been assumed that when you click on an incoming message, IT has BEEN READ. This seems so obvious bleeding. It is ridiculous to have to press a button to mark a message as read.

  I have worked with Macs since the 1980s. How old are you? Maybe if Thunderbird has better layouts of menu that I should not spend 2 days rummaging the Prefs for something that should have been a default setting, as on any other client of e-mail on the planet.

  Basically, I close firefox with all my open tabs and then did not realize that a window was open. I closed the pop-up window without thinking about it, and now when I click on 'restore previous session' it restores just the a pop up.

  (1) exit Firefox normally, and these changes must happen:

  • Recovery.js is moved to the folder sessionstore-backups on the main level of the profile folder and renamed sessionstore.js
  • Recovery.bak is deleted sessionstore-backups

  (2) Once Firefox has stopped updating things, and rename sessionstore.js sessionstore.old

  (3) copy the file that you want to restore and rename sessionstore.js

  (4) start Firefox and it should read sessionstore.js and move it to the folder sessionstore-backups as previous.js

  If the photo thumbs reappear... they can look washed out...
  to clear this up... right click on a picture or a selected group
  and choose... Properties, uncheck the 'hidden ' /.

Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect scans incoming files as they are saved on your hard drive, email and attachments to emails. Scan to email is just another layer on top of that. To make sure that Auto-Protect provides maximum protection, keep active Auto-Protect and run LiveUpdate regularly to ensure that you have the most recent virus definitions.

  You could always dump AVG and MSE try. It has no analysis of electronic mail and is well rated. MS made mistakes certainly, but they got this right.

  I understand that a particular message thread is not mark messages as read.  Given the previous troubleshooting you have already done, I then suggest to delete the conversation which is to have the question and then start a new conversation.

  Delete the conversation * who has the problem and start a new conversation:

  1. Open your Messages and view your list of conversations.
  2. Straight shot left on the conversation you want to delete. Then, remove faucet.
  3. Open your Messages, type and enter the phone number or email address of your contact or contacts.
  4. Write a new message and press send.

  * When you delete a conversation, you will not be able to recover. If you want to save parts of conversations or their attachments, you can take screenshots. You can also tap a bubble attachment or message, and then tap more > save.

  Go to view | Layout and turn off the preview pane.  Then, you can highlight the message without opening it and delete it.  Also you can go to tools | Options | Read and check the possibility to read messages in plain text only and should not be the same questions when opened.

  Files may have numbers of files, if that's the case, then simply use Finder to sort them by name, and it must sort automatically. However, your message is not too descriptive, for example what scanner, what app scanner, what version of OS X etc...
