  Reinstall still will not affect your movies.

  But I would like to make send to still and do the transcoding in the first use of the Media Encoder.

  Use the Bluray H.264 preset for BluRay. For DVD use mpeg2 dvd preset and fields is higher.

  In particular, I would make for DVD transcoding with first as in CS5 will still reverse fields.

  If the button '+' in iMovie 10.1.2 doesn't let you create a new movie, try to delete the iMovie preferences.  If the elements of the user interface do not, deleting preferences frequently you contribute.

  To delete the iMovie preferences leaving iMovie, runs, and then press and hold options and command key at the same time, at the launch of iMovie. Keep now pressed the buttons firmly until you see a command prompt to remove the preference. Confirm.

  When I had a similar problem, the only thing that helped was to create an iMovie library.  Probably a corrupted in the iMovie project current library prevented the creation.   The problem persists, if you test different library in iMovie? You can create a library for testing.

• Cannot share a film at the cinema

  I use the latest version of iMovie 10.1.2 without problem. I created a movie from a recent trip and when I went to share my theater, I received the following error message:

  Your theater could not be opened: there was a problem to play your movies on disc.

  The film will share the email and iTunes, but will not share my theater. Any suggestions?

  Is your theater in the default location, the folder of your boot drive sequence or elsewhere?   Looks like it could be a permissions problem.

• My iMovie doesn't let me create something after 3 minutes.

  I have a song in my iMovie which is long 3.4 min and the corresponding images and videos up to 3 min. However, when I left my iMovie play, the picture freezes for 3 minutes. The song continues to play, but the images do not move and the song does not extend beyond 3 minutes. I can put photos after 3 minutes, but it won't play them because as I said it's freezing. When I try and extend the 3.4 minutes song it won't let me because a red bar appears next to the song. When I try and put another song after the 3 minute mark, he lets me do, but she appears in a small rectangle instead of a long appropriate for the duration of it's and doesn't let me extend it either. Any ideas how to solve this problem? Thank you.

  HI, soccergirl1515,

  On the edge right middle of your iMovie screen, next to the settings button, there is a scroll bar.  Move it to the right and it will extend your time line.  The display of your song will then expand on shortening and head to play will move again.

  The red bar at the end of the song means that the song is over and there is no more content to expand.

• 10.1.2 iMovie will not share video

  I imported my MP4 videos in iMovie 10.1.2 (6, 15 minute segments), put them in a timeline.

  This is for me the beachball if I try to play the video captures. So I completed the timeline and tried to share the video.

  It gives me error 60, sharing on Vimeo, or writing to the disk. Closed the other apps, and done the same thing with the same result.

  Closed Time machine and tried again. Same result.

  Tried to export a lower resolution. Same result.

  Restarted the Mac. Same result.

  She does not render something in the background, apparently.

  So before that I just throw away entirely and try FCP - it is just useless, or is there something obvious that I can do?

  Let her go for 3 days with no user feedback is not an acceptable answer.

  It does not give any feedback during execution of the task.

  Thoughts?

  Error 60 is a rendering error. Since you also see the beachball during playback iMovie is unhappy with the project. Do playing clips ok in the browser or beachball again? You said these are clips MP4 but what are the rest of the features i.e. codec and resolution? Some have reported the fixing of this problem by creating a new library copying clips on. You can also try to create a new project.

  I created a few sequences of Acrobat 9 Pro Batch Processing I want to share with other people in my team. Is it possible for me to to export or copy the sequence and give it to others? I'm on a Mac.

  You will need to Ctrl-click (or right-click) on the Adobe Acrobat Pro.app file and choose Show content. Then follow the rest of the way try67 gave you.

• iMovie doesn't let me select a portion of a clip

  I use to be able to select only the parts of a clip to create a movie. I can't iMovie to display the thin yellow border. There is a thickness. The only way I can now select a part of the clip is to pull the handle of the thick yellow border to another who is not very effective.

  You must now hold the 'R' key while you move the cursor over the part of the item you want to select.  You can also set it at first and click on 'I' then place it at the end and click on 'o'

  used iMovie to import the media yesterday.  When work on this tonight.  New movie and new trailer are grayed out.  Quit/relaunch and restarted.  no effect.

  They are grey in 10.1.2.  To create a new movie, open the projects window and click on the white square at the top left that says: "make movie".

  There are two ways to change the duration of the clips.

  You can select the video and then click the Info button in the toolbar at the top of the screen (the one that looks like an 'i' with a circle around it), then set the time desired in the box on the right and then press return on your keyboard.

  I know that an i75820k is much more bang for the buck, but I have a line on a couple of E5-2697v3 for basically anything from a family member and I want to make sure that the 2.6 ghz clock will be fast enough to handle everything I have throw at it.  I know that first is multi thread and I'm not the plugins or classification program (which can be single threaded).  I noticed that when I went to my 2.6ghz stock on my i7920, I couldn't play footage smoothly in first or VLC, but when I went back to my OC to 3.2 it played fine.  I have problems with pictures of Multicam 4 k when I Broll circulating on the albums etc, and I'm looking to upgrade.

  I just want to be sure that I'm not moving laterally stay 2.6 ghz clock.  I'm not too worried about the rendering of the times that I want just the editing experience to be as painless as possible.

  OK, I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here.  Each thread that I read in these countries and other forums to export from iMovie .mp4 format is said to use the option "export to QuickTime.  Problem is that I don't see this option in iMovie 10.1.1.  The only apparently logical option is to use sharing-> file, but when I walk through the steps he always saves the file under .mov.  How to export as .mp4?

  You are right.  There is no "Export to Quicktime" option in iMovie 10.1.1.  (Either way, an update was released today, 10.1.2. No significant change in the extent of the

  When you share a film as low, medium or high quality he will share an MP4. If you share it in better quality (res pro), it will be able to share as a .mov.   The res pro file size will be much larger, but the quality is much better, and you will have your movie in a format that is better for editing, if you need to do outside the original project itself.

• Imports lost in iMovie

  I use iMovie 10.1.2 on a mac mini server. I recently imported a wedding video to iMovie. I've skimmed through all the clips to ensure that they were imported to the library. I left it running and had to leave for a while. When I came back, there was a failure of poor. I started the computer and open iMovie. No import and I have already removed the files from the camera.

  Are these files in the computer or I'm just the GROUND?

  If iMovie doesn't display all the clips you imported it might be because the library has been corrupted by the power outage and they might still be in the library (they are likely to have been deleted).

  With the Finder go yo your library package (default location is in your movies folder) and right-click > view the contents of the package.  There will be a folder for each event and each project.  Within each of these folders will be a "Original media" folder which should contain all the clips that have been imported.  If they are not there you've lost them.

  Is they are there after return and I will propose how to proceed from there.
