IMovie project is error-remove-43

Always use my G4MDD to use iMovie HD and love it. I have a problem with 10.4.x tries to delete a file from project iMove «My great movie 1» I want to delete the entire file but when I try I get an error-43 "operation cannot be completed because the elements 1 or more required is not found.

File is located on an external drive Mac OS journaled Ext. Format: Apple Partition map

Ive tried:

3 X restart.

Remove the clips and rampage from inside of iMove HD (which brings up to 387 K file size). No clips or content to the left.

Trying to hook up on INTEL based mac. Cannot trash. Same error

fnfErr = - 43, / * file not found * /.

Do a Get Info on it in the viewfinder, it is an Alias or what?

Get Info shows a way to do this?

In the Finder Menu, select menu go > go to folder and go to "/ volumes. (without the quotes)

Volumes is where an alias on your hard disk (' / ' at startup) is placed at the start, and where all the 'mount points' for auxiliary drives are created for you to access. This folder is normally hidden.

Disks with an additional 1 on the end have a side effect of mount a disk with the same name as the system already think exist. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1 or 2 if it is not real files in them and restart.

If it does not contain data...

I have an old project of 2012 "trailer" that I'm unable to remove what I believe has been corrupted in a first time after upgrade to the latest version of iMovie.  I deleted all the media of the project but the outline | table of Storyboard | list appear to be intact and cannot be changed.  I have to re - import media and place them in the outline in order to remove?  I appreciate all help.

    Hello Brandon,.

    Please visit Apple support communities.

You can remove the annoying iMovie project from the main view of projects? For reference, here are the steps in the view and management of projects - iMovie help:

    1. For projects, move the pointer over the project that you want to manage.

    2. Click on the button to the right of the name of the project that you want to manage, and then do one of the following:

      • Delete the project: Select Delete Project.

If this is not the case, what happens when you try? For example, you see an error message?

    Best regards.

  • How can I replace a source element without having to redo the iMovie project?

When exporting an iMovie project, I detected that a source element had bad images and export could not comlete (error 10008). I fixed the file and replaced it within the overall project. But after that iMovie refuses to play this clip during the opening of the new project - it shows an exclamation point in the chronology and the message "the clip has changed."

Is there a way to replace an element in the project?

    A few facts:

    • The clips are AVI containers
    • I used Yodot AVI repair to remove the bad images
    • The repaired file use the same as the original codecs
    • version of iMovie: 10.1.1

Yes.  With the Finder, drag the clip fixed everywhere where it is saved until it is placed on the old item in project.  When a green plus sign appears next to the cursor let go of the mouse button and you will get a menu.  Click "replace".  The duration and all connected titles, glitches or audio should not be affected.

  • retrieve the format of an iMovie project

can I get the components of an iMovie project from a Time Machine backup of my computer, made before the project was converted into an iMovie, if the project has since been removed?

You must restore the time iMovie library machine. You cannot restore parts of the library as a few projects, for example.

  • When you add items to a project can then remove the clips?  I'm trying to free up space on my hard drive. Thank you.

When you add items to a project can then remove the clips?  I'm trying to free up space on my hard drive. Thank you.

Not while you're still editing the project.  When you have completed the project and shared it and are sure that you do not want to do any editing more far, you can delete the whole project.

If you do a significant amount of iMovie editing you really need to put your libray (ies) on a large external hard drive.  Another thing you can do is to divide your work between different libraries and move those that are not currently on a removable drive.

  • How to export a picture of an iMovie project Photos

My computer is an iMac running OS X version 10.11.6.

The computer has a CPU 3.3 GHz 17 and 16 GB 1867 MHz memory.

I want to export a photo of the photo in an iMovie project.

When I try this through Photos, iMovie is provided as an option.

The same is true when I try to import the photo thanks to iMovie.

I am using photo Version 1.5 and iMovie'08 Version 7.1.4

I managed to place the photo in the project iMovie in jpg file, but it is not recognized in the project workspace.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Kind regards

    Mike

The photo system library should appear under libraries in iMovie 10.  It is not recognized by earlier versions of iMovie, which is also completely incompatible with El Capitan.  See:

Designate a library in pictures - Apple Support System

You can also export an original unmodified photo on the desktop and then drag and drop the window mounting or iMovie event.

  • What size an iMovie project maybe? Quality audio during playback

Need big-time help from some pros iMovie 11 out there. I would like to have a more recent machine on which I could use the latest version.

I am re-a one hour film editing, that I made for the anniversary of this year 25 years ago, and I'm afraid of project file may be too large. I have lots of sound effects and music added added that begin to abandon during reproduction, which wasn't a problem for weeks, so the project was smaller. I think pretty well I can't get all on a DVD, so I will break the film into two parts, I should have an intermission still. What can I / should I duplicate the event or project, or both and delete the last half of the movie from the original project / event and then delete the first half of the film of the copy (assuming that I can copy of in iMovie)? If possible, I think two small-sized projects would be better than a big project and event. I do not know if I must and can copy an event, since the same source files would be shared by the two smaller projects. Sorry to ramble on, but I need an intervention of paranoia here. p.s., if I connect an external USB drive to back up my iMovie project, should I just copy the files to iMovie in my users-movie file, or is there another way? Thank you, Carl.

    HI, Carlat,

Share the lack of space on your hard drive or an external drive, there is no limit on the size an iMovie project can be.  If you have a slow computer, you may have some difficulties with it now with your editing, and there may be some stuttering or abandonment you observe.

Your computer may not be fast enough to playback in iMovie to deal with the drafting of a major project.   Probably it's just a problem of reading and shared final project on will play well.  If the abandonment issue bothers you, your idea of dividing two projects while you work on it is good.   You can join the two projects together when you're ready to share it.  (You can take a video of 2 hours on a standard DVD disc, this project of 1 hour adapt you very well if you want to keep onto a single disc.)  As you mentioned, don't forget to save or duplicate your original project before starting it a re-release and then work on the copy.   That way if something is wrong you still have your original intact.

I'm not as familiar with Mi9 I am with the current iM10.1.2 version, so I will let others answer additional questions.

    Have fun

  • Is it possible to copy an iMovie project, and I therefore two versions to work with?

I have an iMovie project finished with background music. I would like to have two versions - one with background music - and one without having to redo the entire film. I see "duplicate" as an option in the drop-down menu editing, but it is not an option to select. I also tried to copy the file from the Finder window, but I can't find the file of real project through the Finder window.

Work on iMac 10.9.5, iMovie 10.0.5.

    Thank you!

Hello, please check this thread: iMovie may not reproduce projects

  • How I can do it then when I delete a project, it will remove videos associated with the project.

    Hello

I recenty used my 1 TB of storage on my Macbook Pro, and I was looking for in what has been the cause of this. I realized that about 700 GB because of videos on final cut. Knowing this, I saved all my videos and decided to remove the oldest, but keep the new. I checked my storage, and nothing has changed. I realized, the application was not delete videos, but rather delete just how clips have been published. He always kept the full video. So what I request is, is anyway that I can make sure when I delete a project, it will remove all the (video) content, associated with this project? Also, is there anyway that I could delete the video projects I already deleted?

All depends on how you store your media, be it inside the library or outside the library. If internal sound then the best way to proceed is to organize your material in events as well as your project. When you delete events associated with the project, media in events are deleted as well.

changed to MBP 10.11.4 El Capitan of MBP 10.6.8

    Hello

I'm working on an iMovie project, and to use the music that I have purchased through iTunes and downloaded.

However, some of the titles are protected and not available, they are however on my old MBP.

The number of protected titles varies, at the time where it says 91 titles, yesterday, it was a title.

When checking information it says protected AAC audio file.

I can't understand why I bought these titles and how to use them.

Thanks for any help that can be provided.

are 91 protected titles are not available! And I do not know what are the titles here!

  • Where is the iMovie projects folder on the new iMovie 10.1.1 App?

I'm going through a project for a new Mac iMovie folder (with all the latest news app) on an external hard drive so that I can give it to a friend to change. I type in the iMovie projects in my search for spotlight on Finder and it does not appear. My old mac computer doesn't have this problem. It appears in the older Mac. My new Mac using iMovie version 10.1.1 and my old iMovie 10.0.5. Does anyone know of a solution on what I should look for or how to find it?

    -Justin

iMovie 10 has more iMovie and records events iMovie projects.  Everything is inside a package with the .imovielibrary extension.  Its default location is the users / < username > / films.  For more information, see: http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.1/#/mov3fa25bae7

If want to use it on another computer, the computer must use the same version of iMovie.  If you are using media from another library (for example, Photos, iTunes, etc.), you will have to "consolidate the library first.  See: http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.1/#/mov882dee351

  • iMovie project file

How can I save a project as an 'iMovie project file' and share it with others so that they can change whatever they want in it? Using iMovie 10.1.1

Do not save as a project file option as in iMovie iPad.

Don't see anything in the events of iMovie folder.

You must share a comprehensive library, if you create a library containing only the desired project and its associated events.  Note that other people must use exactly the same version of iMovie and if you have media from your library which comes from the library from another application (for example. Photos) must be "consolidated" library.  See: http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.1/#/mov882dee351

Frankly, this is not a simple thing or practice to do so.

  • IMovie projects update automatically in iTunes

I've been updating old iMovie do these automatically up-to-date movies in iTunes?

You don't have to update the iMovie projects that need to be edited in the future versions of iMovie.  Shared once the project becomes a simple video file which requires no updates.  iTunes has only these shared files.
