  I'm new on the test stand and I just finished my first sequence. I have some questions on how to do better.

  My sequence steps about 100 it is running. One of the steps that happen quite frequently is a break so that the previous output VI can take effect. Right now I use a VI with one that takes an integer as an input and makes a break during this time. Is there a more elegant way to do it?

  VI another I use saves some data and runs all the 6 step or so. The only difference between each execution is a setting of path for the filling of journal to be issued. I wish that the sequence to be as clean and well placed as possible. Is there a clever way to short-circuit the number of steps down?

  Basically, it seems that you have basically 3 things that could potentially happen: travel, Journal, break sensor.

  So why not create a data type for every thing.  For example, your MoveSensor data type would be a container that looks like this:

  MoveSensor

  Boolean SensorFlag

  Digital NewPosition

  Digital CurrentPosition

  etc...

  Your Log data type would look like this:

  Boolean LogFlag

  String FilePath

  Digital time

  etc...

  Your break would be just a number (PauseTime)

  Then, you bring a container with each type of data into it.  And then do a table of these containers.

  Now by using the ForEach flow control step type, you can iterate through the table.  The pseudo code would look like this:

  ForEach item in my table

  If CurrentElement.MoveSensor.SensorFlag is true

  MoveSensor to CurrentElement.MoveSensor.NewPosition

  CurrentElement.MoveSensor.CurrentPosition is equal to the new position

  If LogFlag is true

  Log LogPath (maybe the loop on that for a certain period of time)

  Wait (CurrentElement.PauseTime) set to 0 if you do not need to take a break

  End ForEach

  This way you would add just the elements in the table.  You can also write the array a property object (read about those in the help) file and the test, just read in a different property object file that would fill your table with different values in function.

• Analysis of chain to get the Timestamp, LV 2012 problem

  I have a VI I wrote in 2013 LV where it works very well.  But with the same VI in LV 2012SP1, analysis of string to get a Timestamp does not work.  Attached is the VI recorded in LV2012 SP1.

  Background:

  I work with an FPGA where I am synchronizing pulses using the clock of 40 MHz.  I connect these impulses in a file on my host PXI. To correlate the clock on the FPGA with a log file and real life someday, I named the file with a timestamp, and the meter 64-bit encoded hexadecimal string.  Now, I have a pretty good correlation between when the 64-bit against him and the time of day to facilitate the search of the data file.

  Now, I try to analyse the file name, so in my analysis of code I can reassociate the value 64 bits with the time of day using the string functions to separate the file name.  With a few regexes (which I've never used in real life before), I've broken down the chain and got the base time as a timestamp, and the counter value as a 64-bit integer.  The VI works very well in 2013 LV.

  But when I saved it to the LV 2012, analysis of string to get the timestamp fails.  No error, but the timestamp shows 19:00 12/31/1599 (I am GMT - 5).  I have no idea why.  A bug in the parsing of the string that was set in 2013 LV?

  Please run the attached VI in LV 2012.  Confirm if it fails for you.  Then open it in 2013 LV and see if it works for you.

  I am trying to make it work in LV 2012 because this project is locked in this version of LV for now.  I can probably do something to reorganize the time string to get something that will scan a digital time stamp if I have to.

  Sorry to be a bit late on this point, I just came across this thread after the hunt for the CAR for a separate issue. The fix for 300375 CAR is what causes the difference in behavior between versions of LabVIEW. It appears on the list of known issues of LabVIEW 2013, although the description focuses more on the fixed number than other possible differences between the versions.

  The thoughts in this thread died on what happened in the difficulty. LabVIEW 2013 now pick up the string of year 2 or 4-digit number when you use the %y or %Y tags, respectively. Previously, the behavior was more forgiving in the year format, leading to incorrect behavior that you have observed strings of 4 digits in the year the %y tag. The original problem, you pointed out (2012 incorrectly string manipulation of tagged %y (2 digits) 2-digit year is precisely what has been fixed in the CAR.

  Regarding your strange result over the years with the tag %Y-2 digit, this is a limitation of the type of data Time Stamp itself. The year will always be converted to between 1600 and 3000. So no time extreme travel journaling. Yet.

  Hi all

  I really hope that you can give me some good tips to help me implement FCPX for use on my two computers.

  In a Word, my challenge is that I have my data (music, photos, video clips, etc.) stored on my iMac (saved regularly!), however as a still more frequent business traveler, I bought a macbook pro so that I can continue my hobby of projects in the long evenings to watch the hotel walls.

  What is the ideal way to manage my entire upward? I would be pleased to be able to synchronize my macbook with my iMac and just take what I need with me, work on him and then when arriving home sync back changes. Is this possible?

  More than happy to hear other recommendations anyone can have to handle these scenarios.

  One method would be to have FCP X installed on Mac and use a fast external disk to store your libraries.

  The libraries will open and be usable on Mac.

  Just make sure that the media is stored as managed and not external.

  This means that all media will in the library.

• Loop root, time travel and DAQmx Watchdog

  I just ran into the issue where time travel calendar control blocks the execution of my system.  See here to discuss this problem.

  I have a data acquisition loop race which uses the DAQmx watchdog and open this browser window is causing my dog die of hunger, which causes the stop of my application.  Curiously, when I opened the drop-down menus, as shown in the above thread Jack, I don't see the same behavior.  It is not really clear to me what the original block, but do not have drop-down menus.

  I wonder if anyone has suggestions for workarounds in addition or explanations.

  One solution, I did it in the past to solve this problem was to create my own dialog box Date/Time in LabVIEW and hide the native button and add a normal button to the face before that this dialog box was invoked. Given that this makes the dialog a normal VI the problem of root loop is not present with it. There is a VI in resource/dialog/picktime.vi that looks like the dialog box used in the date/time picker, but it isn't since changes to the present VI appear not in the native dialog box. LabVIEW seems to use an internal C implementation of dialogue which is the root cause of the loop of the root being blocked since the message of dialogue Manager is running in the same thread as the loop of the root.

  Create a copy of this VI into your own project and adding it through your own browse custom time should solve the problem.

  You probably need to run the installer as administrator with elevated permissions to correctly make the necessary registry changes.

  Uninstall the program via the applet of Add / Remove Programs of the Control Panel then locate the installer from the disc or download and right click and select run as administrator. Acknowledge the UAC confirmation and provide credentials if required, proceed through the installation normally.

  Microsoft Streets & Trips should operate normally after completing the installation.

  I have one new PowerShot SX60. I've implemented CameraWindow and can easily view the photos from the camera on my smartphone. When I WifFi, I can also upload them to Canon Image Gateway. We leave for the Viet Nam in a few weeks, and I was wondering how to use these snazzy features to publish photos on Facebook or attach them to e-mail on a trip. While we are abroad, I don't want to spend too much bother time with technical details, so I hope to have a good method under control before leave us. Put pressure on travelers from the world out there with advice about how to get the most out of these features in situations where the available WiFi can only be a cybercafe or hotel? Is it possible to bypass Image Gateway and go directly from the phone to Google Drive? How about you, attach one image in an e-mail or a Facebook message? I'm looking for an efficient workflow to use in situations where the time and access are limited. Any advice much appreciated!

  You don't mention what smartphone you use, so my experience will rely on Canon G7X and window installed on an iPhone camera 6.

  For me - and I have not yet traveled with the combination, just around NYC - would be to use the camera app window to copy the photos you want to send (FB, Message, E-mail) on the phone itself. (In the case of an iPhone's Camera Roll or all Photos/Moments if you hired iCloud Beta of Photo I) Once the photos on your phone you can use either the FB app (sometimes I prefer the paper version), or your e-mail or any account that you used to send Messages to send photos.

  Now - although I've set up an account of the gateway of the Image, I him have not used yet. I guess the 'advantage' of that would be that your photos are stored in the cloud of Canon. The way I suggested above - especially if you don't use icloud Apple Beta Photo - pictures remain on your phone. Not the best solution for photo backup unless it's a pretty short trip. Unless you plan to import all your photos to Google Drive, but I guess they have a dedicated application and would not need the Image gateway to do.

  Please could someone help me decipher the CBS logs for two of my Vista machines and tell me how to solve the problems highlighted in each journal.

  Vista 1 machine has Vista Ultimate x 64 SP2 installed and has been implemented in the following way:

  • Installed Vista Ultimate SP1 from DVD
  • Apply all updates important, recommended, and optional through Microsoft Update
  • Applied SP2 via Microsoft Update
  • Apply all important updates, optional and recommended through Microsoft Update after that

  Machine Vista 2 has Vista Ultimate x 86 SP2 installed and has been implemented in the following way:

  • Installed Vista Ultimate SP1 from DVD
  • Apply all updates important, recommended, and optional through Microsoft Update
  • All the different ways to install SP2 and had no success in which I used the followed by the fix corrupt system analysis tool Pack of language without problems were detected but had to reinstall OS in order to reactivate Windows new
  • Reinstalled Vista Ultimate SP1 DVD
  • Installed SP2 with download of the Microsoft not by Microsoft Update website and this time it worked
  • Apply all updates important, recommended, and optional through Microsoft Update

  I searched on Google for months on how to solve the problems highlighted in the CBS logs but got too hypnotized and decided to consult you on how to solve the problems. I forgot to mention also that 11 updates of Windows would not apply via Microsoft Update on both machines and apply them manually in which they worked.

  Finally please can you give me a link to download CBS logs.

  We have an active guard of data with a physical standby database. Using custom scripting zabbix we execute dgmrl 'See the configuration' and grep result of ' State of ' the output Configuration.  If this isn't "SUCCESS", then a notification is sent.

  Today @ 15:12:53 has been following the release of the primary database:

  I happened to notice the notification immediately, connected and run "show configuration" manually, which was SUCCESSFUL. Also the next result for zabbix has SUCCESS @ 15:15:53.

  On the basis of data pending, the results have been successful all the way (also at 12:15:56).

  
  

  No errors not found in the journal to the DRC, nor in the log of the server logs or alerts. EM's own beautiful graphic. Data has been / are in sync and I couldn't find anything indicating problems.

  However, the exit for 'see the configuration' may not have been drawn from air - it something must have caused. Any ideas on this subject?

  It is possible, that a health check is running. OR one of your databases does not use a SPFILE.

  In any case, it is not an error, just a warning, so unless he's going on a high percentage of the time I wouldn't worry on this subject.

  I develop a vsphere client 5.1 web plugin.

  I need to implement the inventory tree in my plugin. The documentation guide and programming example speaks on the list of entities as the 'inventory' and not a hierarchical (tree inventory), as shown in the snapshot below.

  I've traveled "vSphere Web Client Extensions for vSphere 5.1 Programming Guide" and samples provided as "chassis-ui", but don't find anything (point/api extension) to view vsphere/custom entities in a hierarchical manner, as seen in vcenter section on the web client.

  Is it possible to display the objects tree in vSphere web client plugin?

  

  No, it is not possible to add your custom in the inventory tree in the left objects.  Our user interface will further hierarchical display of items because it is not scale upward (we left the inventory tree in this version to help people make the transition :-)

  Of course, you can create your own Flex Tree component to display what you want in your own opinion.

  (2) for 11.1.1.7 after you add the table to the cdc, what are the steps that we must apply on logged data model before and after the implementation of two sequential interfaces. We do not want to create and remove subscribers, we want our subscribers to be permanent, but we want to be able to lock and unlock.  In the documentation of oracle ("journaling setup controller"), we found a complete solution.

  (1) - Yes, you can use this table logged in as many places as you wish, it contains the same data throughout the execution until you purge and ready for the next run of release (Lock and extend the window).

  It describes the process of setting up CDC in a runtime environment and automate tasks of CDC consumption through a package. The essential is that you drag the the Package Web model to display the logging options, configure them from there.

  PS you don't define your subsribers once (when you start journal) - no need to set them again unless you remove the paper.

  You can run a query to detect the newspaper who is having the: character.

  For example:

  Select JOURNAL_ID, LABEL, UNIQUE_LABEL
