Import e-mail messages from Windows mail to outlook 2007

I damaged an old laptop and the hard drive is now in a case that I can access via USB.

I want to transfer my emails from WIndows Mail in the old hard drive to Outlook 2007 into my laptop current. How to do this please?

Hi Tony,.

You can always open Windows mail? In this case: the open, select the e-mail messages you want to copy, create a folder on a USB or other portable device, paste messages, transport the unit, open, select all the messages and copy it (ctrl + c), then paste in Outlook.

The official way would be: file, import and Export Wizard. But I'm sure you will all future posts.

Kind regards

Hans

This account worked until recently? If so, it is probably due to an update of your antivirus software. Completely uninstall and restart. Now, do a custom installation and uncheck e-mail scanning when it is offered.

  • iPhone Mail Spam/Outlook 2007

    My problem:

A few days earlier, I was on a trip and intended to mark a bunch of emails in red, but accidentally them marked as spam. Now, I get all my mail sorted spam through my iPhone and the Office Outlook 2007 client.

In case of problems I took action:

    • I called and worked with people of our fine electronic mail and there is no being located on the side spam filter server.
    • I deleted all the rules of junk e-mail in Outlook 2007
    • I disabled the antivirus e-mail protection
    • I did all the contacts in the contacts allowed with exemptions

At this point, I am at a loss and looking for help.

Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

at least, on the client - there is an option for 'Not junk' If you select an e-mail in the Junk folder or spam-

Also there may be a place t get back on the server of the provider (for example mail.yahoo, com to Yahoo! mail) messaging

  • Windows 7 and Outlook 2007, Microsoft Word won't open

Windows 7 and Outlook 2007 - Microsoft Word attachments are not open.  Word opens but not the file.  Excel works fine.  Sometimes just Word opens and says not responding do not.  If I erase the data word file in via regedit it solves the problem. Also, whenever I open Word I get the question if I want Word to make changes to my computer.  In addition, I can't open Word files by double-clicking.  I have to open Word first.

Techie Microsoft asked me to change a setting of compatibility on the winword exe file and it fixed the problem immediately.

  • Installed windows 7 and windows live mail. now I want to import my messages from windows mail, and they will not matter. I really need the messages because they have a lot of important information in them.

Would be really happy for any help.  The application tells me that they have been moved to the storage area, but they are not there.

    Help.

Is your username mentioned in the tab security for storage files and all subfolders, and has 'full control '?

If these files are really empty then the transfer/import routine failed for some unknown (to me) reason.

Have you tried to copy all old messages from the Windows.old folder, put in a file in your user name for example Documents and then import from there?   It is perhaps necessary to remove to another location in the current storage folder in Windows Live Mail rather than simply delete before rerunning the import program.

Have you tried to temporarily disable your anti program virus and other security programs to see if that blocks emails appear?

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click on your drive icon / properties / tools / error checking.  First try checking not be (read-only) to see if it reports any problems file or hard drive.  If this is the case, start by checking the two boxes, in no other rerun.

  • How to import emails and contacts from windows mail to thunderbird 8

    Hello

I have Windows 8 and have been using the Windows 8 mail application. However, it is very basic, so I'm willing to switch to Thunderbird. However, I can't find a way to import my mail, folders and contacts to Thunderbird in Windows 8 Mail.

There seems to be no option to export on Windows 8 Mail. Thunderbird has an import option, but is not able to locate the files of Windows 8 e-mail.

It doesn't seem to be the answer to this question in the forums. Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Mark

App to win 8 Mail is usually associated with ahotmail/live/outlook.com account, so to access it with TB, configure an IMAP account:

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/998184#answer-566746

To import the contacts, open the web page account, export contacts to a csv file and follow the instructions here:

    http://KB.mozillazine.org/Hotmail

Automatically from hotmail/outlook represents messages copy sent to the folder "sent", uncheck "Place" a copy in. under the tools/account settings /hotmailaccount/Copies & records.

  • Importer e-mail and addresses from Windows Mail in windows.old to Outlook 2007 in the new Windows 7

Installed Windows 7 on a laptop last night.
Old system: Vista & Windows Mail
    New system: Windows 7 Ultimate (64) & Outlook 2007

Prior to installation, we have saved copies of records of e-mail and address books for the two users on a disk partition.  These same files are also still available in windows.old.

Import in Outlook 2007 feature, I cannot select a directory where the old files/email address. He just made a kind of research and can't find anything.
I wish that prospects to find them and convert a PST file but can't seem to make it work. I tied each combination in the functionality of Outlook 'import' and even tried to drag the old emails in the outlook Inbox (just create a new email with the .eml attachment file)

What should I install Windows mail, that he could recognize the old addresses / and then inport to Outlook?  Maybe then Outlook will look for them in their actual location?

    A little frustrated...

How did your question related to Windows Update, Al?

You cannot import data from Windows Mail directly in Outlook. See...

How TO migrate [Windows mail] Outlook (when you have only the message store files)
       http://www.HOWTO-Outlook.com/HOWTO/migratefromoewlm.htm#FILES_ONLY

In your case, you must first download/install Windows LIVE Mail and then import data from Windows Mail in this e-mail client. After that, you can EXPORT data from Windows LIVE Mail to Outlook (compared to import the data into Outlook).

Yes, this is all very confusing. Adding to the confusion:

    1. you must set Windows LIVE Mail as your default for mail in CUSTOM (<>) item Set Program Access and computer by default in Win7 before any function send to or MailTo will become available.

    2. you will find general support for all e-mail Win7 Clients in this forum: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7network/threads

    3. you will find support for Windows Live Mail in this public newsgroup:

  • Cannot send e-mail messages from Windows mail

When I try to send an email from windows mail, it gets stuck in Outlook and said I need the POP3 server.  I have followed before a mode page 8 on what he should do but does always the same thing.  Why do I have the server appropriate for something that has been installed before I bought my computer?

  • Unable to import the mail express outlook in windows live mail

I have a new computer running Windows 7.  I have used Outlook Express on my old XP computer.  I found the file on my old computer with emails, folders, etc... and have it on my new computer under documents.  I tried to import the folder and I get an error.  I have many subfolders and so I decided to import them one at a time.  I was able to import a folder, but I can not find this folder now in Live Mail.  I get errors when I import the Inbox, too.

So, where can I find my mail any and no idea on the Inbox import error.  It does not say what is the error, just says: an error has occurred.

    Thank you.

    Nan

Yes, I checked and folders.dbx is here.  In my quest to solve this problem, I found a site where someone had the same problem and found the file has been marked read-only (not the check mark, but the box has been filled).  I checked that and mine was the same way, I correct and it goes back to the box being filled.  I am really confused and might have to find an another e-mail client that I use.  I have a few I need to access important emails.

    Nan

If you have access to your old computer, create a new identity.  Import your messages from the old identity.
If the import without problems messages, then your old OE store folder is ok.
If the message import, then your old Bank of OE has problems and will not import the messages to another program.

I don't use any anti-virus or anti-spyware, except Windows Defender.

I suspect that you see the effects of a hijackware infection. Since you have no applications installed virus protection (and, I suppose, you have not installed in Windows XP is), my recommendation is the following:

Backup of personal data (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then do a format and clean install of Windows XP.  (Because you upgraded from Windows XP to Win7, you can not do a clean install of Win7.) Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) won't fix this!

Once installed the clean, you will have the equivalent of a "new computer" in order to take care of everything on the next page before connecting the machine to the internet or a network otherwise and before using a USB key that is not brand new, or has not been freshly formatted:
