How can I import Firefox bookmarks, now stored in the folder of the user on the same PC (new), in Firefox? I exported my old PC Firefox bookmarks in a folder [Windows 8] on my new PC.
When I use the ease of importing from Firefox, it will only import a bookmark at a time - and then it inserts the bookmarks all the main pages on the site marked with a bookmark, not just the one I initially put bookmark. Also, it does not matter the information stored in the bookmark tag.

    Sure thing.

If there are problems with importing IE bookmarks in Firefox, then export favorites in Internet Explorer to a HTML file and import this file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.

If you don't have the menu bar in Internet Explorer, and then right-click on the toolbar above to activate the menu bar.

    • Export Favorites in Internet Explorer to a file (bookmarks.html) HTML:
      File > import and export
    • Import HTML file in Firefox:
Bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > import bookmarks HTML

See "Import from another browser" and "import from file":

When Firefox is set to zero, then a new profile is created and some of your data (Favorites, history, cookies, passwords, data form) is imported automatically your current profile will be moved on the desktop (old data of Firefox).

You will lose the extensions and other customizations (toolbars, Pref.) that you have made.

It is possible to recover more data from the old profile, but be careful to avoid transporting on the problem.

  • Imported images no longer go to the folder "Images" on my Mac.

Since I started using Lightroom 5 (version 7) when I import pictures from my card or the camera, they no longer go to my folder 'Images' on the hard drive, but rather in "all my files.  I'm doing something wrong?  Thanks for any help.

Is there a subfolder called Lightroom or a subfolder called images in the images folder? More than likely nothing. When you click on the input of images in the sidebar you will then need to open, click on this other folder subfolder.

When you read the information which is the exact full path.

  • Import failed halfway, how to synchronize the folder to import the remaining images?

I have about 60 000 remaining images in different subfolders to add. When I right click on the folder and choose Synchronize folder, it detects these images. However, after a few minutes of activity (with Dees bar reading "Synchronizing folder"My Photography"of State), LR reads"there are no images to add.

These other subfolders do not appear in the main folder of my photography, so synchronization is not past as it should.

I don't know what I have to do here to complete the process.

  • How can I me favorites to open directly under the folder on the side bar to save space of width?

Just reset Firefox (latest version) as she was spinning slowly, now much better, but I had customized the bookmarks bar so that everything (folders, bookmarks) opened directly below the other rather than a step to the right. It saves space. This customization is gone and I can't find how I did as there has been a response somewhere at least a couple of years. Help, please. Thank you

You can use the Stylish extension for easier access to the customization files.

  • Import the folder structure, shaded pictures question

Im just starting my Lightroom Catalog. I tried to import some photos that reside in a folder on my desktop in lightroom

I'm in the library I hit import.  I scroll down to the folder I want to import.  (it has sub ) categories)

All the photos I want to import are greyed out. as they have already been imported into lightroom.

    The right column (Destination dropdown)

I scroll to the destination drop down and look for the desktop folder that I selected in the box on the left origin

If I click on the bar of all the photographs in the catalog list box... all these pictures Im trying to import already show up... but they are not in the appropriate folders, as they are in the original desktop folder.

Other folders appear as they do on the desktop folder, but not this one.

It appears when I imported the file structure did not follow, but imported photos.

Do I have to drag all these photos in this folder on the left... each one individually?

    I hope this feeling.

    Thanks for your help

You would use ADD until it meets your needs. And you would use to COPY or MOVE if one of those that meet your needs.

I have and how to delete the old catalog in order to not confuse.

Give you the new catalogue a new name (it asks for the name when you select the file-> new catalog) and then you can use your operating system to delete the old catalog file, the name ends with. LRCAT (you can tell that it is earlier than the date that the file has been modified).

  • Import Favorites

When I import favorites from Internet Explorer, not imported favorites.

The folder "From the Internet Explorer" is created, but no favorites are actually imported.

I checked the folder 'C:\Users\USERNAME\Favorites' to ensure that they are there, and they are.

It is a new problem that began with 15 of Firefox.

If you can't find IE Favorites in the folder ("Internet Explorer") or if you have problems with importing IE bookmarks in Firefox, then export favorites in Internet Explorer to a HTML file and import this file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.
This way also preserve you a sort that you did with the Favorites in Internet Explorer and the Favorites don't end up in a folder "from Internet Explorer", but will be added at the end of the file Menu bookmarks.

    • Export Favorites in Internet Explorer to a file (bookmarks.html) HTML: file > import and export
    • Import the HTML file in Firefox: bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > import HTML: from a file

  • Keep the folder structure for AVCHD (.mts) video

    Hi all

Can someone confirm if or not the PP CS4 and AE CS4 requires the AVCHD folder structure to be left in tact?

    I just found this http://blogs.Adobe.com/davtechtable/2008/09/intro_to_cs4_and_new_avchd_edi.html

    Who says...

... Make sure you leave the structure of folders. Drag it to the new folder as an exact copy. This will ensure that you will have everything you need. Importer for PremierePro (also used by AfterEffects & still) uses folders and files to help identify the parameters and types of files without tape.

... so clearly, it is better to do, but it is actually necessary?

I have not bought the CS 4 software yet, but I intend to, however, this can be a problem, as I have more than 6 months with a value of sequences, most without the folder structure. It was too embarrassing trying to maintain and also the files in an organized way. I tried various video editing software demonstrations, and all those I tried (including the Premiere Elements) worked fine with just the files .mts, without the extra stuff.

I also used AE and PP trial versions, but these do not seem to support .mts at all. After reading the various threads on the topic but, I concluded that it was just a missing feature in trial versions.

    Thank you very much

    Eugene

What I do (with XDCAM-EX images) is a structure of directories like this:

    Customer A / B of the project / Stick 1 /BPAV

    Customer A / B of the project / Stick 2 /BPAV

    ...

    ...

    Customer B / project / Stick 1 /BPAV

    ...

    etc.

  • Can I configure Thunderbird to keep in place the folder on the left bar (does not AutoScroll) when I change the tabs to another open folder?

I have a lot of folders, for the pane of folders on the left rolls. I always open my "Inbox" and "sent" tabs and sometimes one or two other files of the theme. When I move to an open folder / tab to another, the folders pane auto-défile in this folder. I see no reason that would be a good thing, but I find it boring for an operation, I do it every day.

A thread that I will record belonged to a theme folder. In general, I'd be in the Inbox folder and scroll the pane of the files to the folder of the theme. If I have an Exchange (a received message and my response) to add to this folder, I move messages one (or several) from the Inbox tab to the theme folder, and then click the sent folder tab to move messages from there to the theme folder. OOPS! The folders pane has scroll back up the sent folder. I didn't know that; I wanted to stay put in the theme folder. I have to scroll to the folder of the theme.

If you select this option to display a folder then it will display in the left pane of the folder that you selected this folder and its contents should appear in the right pane. Even if you have the contents of the folder appears in a different tab, it's always a folder you selected when you select this folder tab and then will appear in the folders pane.
Folders and the folders pane and 'E-mail Toolbar' are all in one tab.

However, I understand your situation on the scroll and the folder you need help as a movement to be out of sight.

There are some suggestions ideas, you could try to see if there is a better way to achieve what you are doing.

If you have already moved a few emails from for example: Inbox to the folder of theme, then you select the 'Sent' folder or the sent tab. The following method: you don't even need to locate the "subject" folder in the folders pane.

    • Right click on the email and choose "Move to new theme folder"

Several emails can also be moved in this way.

    • Hold down the 'Ctrl' key and click on emails that you want to move, so they highlighted.
    • Right-click on the highlighted emails and choose 'Move to new theme folder'.

It is also interesting to note that you can use it "move to" and select the folder option, if the "Move again to the the topic folder" option is not available.

Open the folder "Sent" in a new tab instead.
Right click on the "sent" folder and choose "open in a new window.
then, you can select the e-mail in the newly opened window and use drag and drop to move to the original theme folder window.

It is a method I use when I move on things and do not need to see all the folders for each account. I have quite a few folders in the "Favorite" view, but he never does nearby who need the scroll bar.

There is the possibility to create folders 'Favorites '.
Right-click on the folder and select 'Favorites '.
(If you deselect a 'Favorites' folder is done the same way)
Choose the main folders, you are working on that.
    Then select the favorite view.
'View' > 'Files' > 'Favorites' OR 'Icon of the Menu' > 'Files' > 'Favorites '.

so much easier to exchange views and see a less cluttered Folders pane.

    To return to normal view:
'View' > 'Files' > 'All' GOLD 'Icon of the Menu' > 'Files' > 'All '.
