  I work with files from a mobile DVR. The DVR uses H.264 compression and AVI files. Files can be opened and discovered very well on my PC, but cannot be opened on a Mac. To view the files, I have been using a program called Elmedia Player. Files can also be imported into Premiere Pro CS5 or CC. I don't have a first on the PC to be able to try to import here unfortunately.  I've been converting files using Total Video Converter MPEG 4 Pro and then import it in first. It worked, but it seems to drop frames during conversion. Any suggestions on what I can install to be able to import the files into first without making a conversion? If this is not the case, no matter what other converters that people recommend? Any additional info, I missed it would help me?

  I'm not sure that it will actually work, but try to replace the name extension of AVI to MOV file to 100%.

  Tips for solving common problems when Windows 7 won't install troubleshooting

  1. start Windows Upgrade Advisor to see if there are known issues that might affect the installation and correct them.

Now that I'm working on a completely new project, I'm trying to import batch files in Premiere Pro, some files still eventually be total emptiness (with no music or any sound), and I had received an error for each of these files.   I have the strangest thing that happens on a workflow in Premiere Pro CS5 and CS5.5. I imported a GIF file that has a border, but it is transparent in the middle to have empty show through. When you import the file into CS5 and CS5.5 on a Mac, the transparent part shows white.  When you import the it in Windows, it shows good transparency.  The workflow is HD and 30 frames per second.  I recorded the Photoshop file format PNG and PSD, without success.  What could happen.  I also sent the file to an Adobe expert and it has worked well on its system.  What setting could be spoiled in my Mac?  I thank everyone's help.

  So, let me get this right... you open the gif in Photoshop and you can see the transparency. Then save you it as a PSD, but you still don't see no transparency on the body on a Mac. Just for the hell of it, open the gif in PS, make the background layer, use the magic wand to select the area inside the frame which is supposed to be transparent, and then press the delete key. Now, save it as a PSD with maximized compatibility and try again.

  As a separate trial, I ran my video using Adobe Media Encoder CS4 export to another AVI file and this file will play in Premier Pro. The only difference is that I exported it without the audio.

  Any thoughts?   My goal is to change the sound and hopefully reduce the size of the file so that it will be able to my site web watch.

  Whenever I try to import my video from Premiere Pro to Adobe Media Encoder, it raders to Midway and an error message pops up saying 'a problem caused blocking the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. "I am so confused, I tried a variety of combinations to get to this rendering and exporting. Yes, in the past media encoder enabled me to render and export my videos. I'm currently installed Premiere Pro on my laptop, so I can export my video of my project.   Please open your project, click on file > project settings > general and select 'software only mode' before the rendering engine. Click OK > delete previews.

  And try to export your project again.

  Please provide us with some additional information.

  As the specifications of the system, kind of images used in this project and if you have installed/used no matter what 3rd-party effects/plugins.
