Import of "Composition - keep the layer size.
Hello!
When importing a graphic file, I can either choose "Composition" or "Composition - keep the size of the layer.
Could not quite understand what the difference is.
Can someone give an example?
Thank you.
Of course, do a Photoshop document with two layers in it. Such as, for example, a text layer and a circle.
Import both directions and note the differences in size of layer in two compositions. In one, each layer is the size of the publication, but in the other, the layer sizes match the layer content.

You can use an extension to set a page zoom and the size of the default font on the web pages.
- Default FullZoom Level: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/

I'm new to Lr, can someone tell me if there is a limit of size PRACTICE to a Lightroom catalog file? Should I keep the file size within a certain range of size of GB and then create a new? Thank you I would be grateful of any advice.
He has no such limit, and in fact some users in this domain and other forums report catalogues over 1/2 million pictures works well.
The idea to create multiple catalogs because you don't want to get too big catalog file size is a bad idea that you should never think of it again.

SWFElement - keep the original size of swf
Hello
I'm playing a swf file in osmf.
works like a charm, as long as the swf file has the same size as my mediaplayer.
If my swf is smaller than my mediaplayer the swfelement is reduced.
How do I load my swf, keep the original size and align it e.g. in the upper left corner?
welcome them
Vincent
You must specify the metadata of the page layout so that the SWF is well positioned. Here is an example that shows how to center the media:
You could probably just change the SerialElement of your SWFElement and the alignment H/V to TOP and LEFT values.

Keep the same size of Movieclip on the adjustment of the image.
I use Adobe animate to create Sprite sheets, however I encountered a problem. My movieclip is 400 x 400 pixels in size, in order to create sprite type easy grid cards. However, when I set my image/handle to a different size, say 200 x 400 pixels, it changes the size of movieclip so that it messes up my beautiful grid like structure in my sprite sheet. Is there a way to organize/resize images within a movieclip, while keeping the 'parent' dimensions 400 x 400 all the time?
Thank you
Oops, nevermind. That's the sheet entire sprite, not individual sprites.
Perhaps the size of sprite could be forced into a compatible size with crop marks in the corners. However, the importer request to remove them.

Hard to keep the shape size between Illustrator and Photoshop
I do a lot of my work to vector in Photoshop form, because it has the basic tools I need. Recently, however I wanted to learn and use some more advanced in illustrator forms tools. The problem that I've run is that when I try and move forms between the 2 programs their pixel sizes are not kept at all, not even close.
I have attached a screenshot showing the same form in both Photoshop (left) and when stuck in Illustrator (right). Note the zoom levels are the same and therefore the pixel grids are the same size.
I need to use the pixel preview mode in illustrator often, so I can't just simply turn off and ignore the difference. This happens when either I paste the shape in illustrator or if I import or drag the shape to a library of creative clouds where I kept the shape.
Here's the thing, if I'm working on the form at this tiny size in illustrator and then paste it into photoshop, it returns to the correct size. However, if in Illustrator, I choose to use the pixel grid and draw a shape to the appropriate size, when I pick her up photoshop it becomes huge.
I searched on through all the preferences of the two applications, ensuring that the measures are all set to pixels everywhere, as the value of the 72 DPI sicesdonneessontdisponibles. I even went to the length of completely uninstall Illustrator, blowing all my settings, re-installing and setting up again. Nothing has changed.
One of my colleagues has this problem at all. A box of 10px in an application becomes a zone of 10px in the other, but we can not simply to understand why it does not work the same way for me.
Help, please!
Set the resolution of your Photoshop image on 72 dpi.

Import graphics Illustrator in the right size
Hello
Anyone who is familiar with the import of Illustrator graphs at the right size?
East - the right approach? In InDesign, my Options of text block told me that my block of text is 35p7.276. My graphic Illustrator must therefore the two 35p7.276 high and wide. Then I put the character of my graphic style to reflect those of my InDesign document and now, she's ready for the import?
Thank you!
You mean like the refresh from scratch?
No, I don't have the figures for the chart. Most of the time I start with something that has been stuck in a Word from Excel file. If I can get the numbers, then it is usually easier to just remake the chart in Illustrator using graphical tool Illustrator. But without the numbers I usually end up copying and pasting from Word to Illustrator and then manipulate (drawing a) graphic of what I want to (change the fonts, character, STROKE, color, size etc. and then resize it to final print size and then resize the type even once).
I don't know what you mean by "dealing with the actual graphics in Indesign. InDesign is not a graphical tool. Similarly, I don't know what you mean by vectorize. Create outlines is a way to convert the type of vector art. A graph is already (or should be) vector art (with a small cast type).

Keep the layer names when describing the text
I would like to know if there is a way to keep the names of the objects/layers of text when the text is converted to text outline, using scripts.
I create files with dozens of text layers (player names on the back of the jerseys of sport) and send the .ai file to manufacturers. This means that I have to expose the text, but when I do, the layers all lose their names and everything becomes "< Group >.
Can anyone think of a way of naming these layers with the text they contain?
Hi openbracket,.
It is impossible, if the text is underlined.
But it is possible for the text and the outline of the text via script (don't forget that the selected text is only filled with no effects or stroke)
You can try something like this:
// required: an opened document with one selected text frame var aDoc = app.activeDocument; var aSel = aDoc.selection; if (aSel[0].typename =="TextFrame") { if (aSel[0].characters.length < 40) { var newName = aSel[0].contents; } else { newName = aSel[0].contents.substr(0, 39); } aSel[0].createOutline(); aSel = aDoc.selection; // name of the new Group = contents or part of contents of selected text frame aSel[0].name = newName; }
Have fun

Move the layer, but keep the layer in the Web?
Can someone help me?
I'm not exactly sure how to describe my question correctly. But what I want is that when I move a layer selected example to the left I want parts that normally goes outside the canvas to appear to the right.
You want to wrap around to select the layer, and then use the menu Filter > other > offset in its dialog box enable wrap around using the sliders or type a pixel count more or less number for vertical and horizontal offsets. Works even on Basemap layers. Layer must be a raster layer, if there is a layer mask, I think more often than you would like it linked layers also content or you can use the offset on the mask or the content.

I have a thumbnail of a slideshow in layers under a trigger of a composition. I have the opacity of the thumbnail defined at 0% so it looks nice and clean. I wish it works so that a user can click on the trigger and the tile at the same time. Is it possible through coding? Adobe told me that Muse can do by nature.
Thank you!
Conor
No, it is not possible to click on two things at once. Custom javascript using you could trigger two events with a single click but with HTML/CSS, you can trigger only one.

CP8: import from powerpoint - keep the individual objects on the slide
I did an import of PowerPoint and chose the high fidelity, but it is always also bring the slide as a single object, so I can't manipulate objects on the screen. I thought that each form would incorporate as a smart form that I could handle individually. Is there a way to get there?
Indeed, nothing has changed on the import, you are not individual objects. High-fidelity means that animations etc will play with more precision. Captivate is not a PPT-plug-in as many users seem to think so. Ago real autour plugins if you think that a TPP can make a good e-Learning course (you think that I am not convinced that a presentation tool is a tool of e-Learning, sorry for that).

CS4: Change DPI document, keep the pixel size, change the cm
As the title says, I'm looking for a way to change the resolution of a document, but default photoshop modifies the pixels and holds the centimetres.
However, I want the centimeters to change and not the pixels, when the replacement of the CIO.
Is this possible and if so, how?
Image > size of the Image and in the window that opens uncheck the 'resample '.
Then change what you are allowed to change the way you want.

Illustrator import, preserve the layer with diapers size problems more
When I import a layered .ai file to help retain size layer that everything comes through, more small layers are fine but all the layers that are superior to the Illustrator artboard are cropped to that size. Models of layer are visible as the size they should be (size, position, anchor etc.), but they look like they would if they had masks on them to the size of the doc AE (I checked, they don't).
Screenshot attached if all goes well shows what I mean.
Using the most recent version of CC 2014 at all.
This is how AE. If you ar import or PSD as Composition AE - then AE chose HAVE artboard size size of the publication. If you want to see 100% of all the layers you have imported AE, you can:
-at AE expand this workplan-You can change the size of your publication you have imported EI by choosing settings of Composition/Composition
-You can create a new composition with the appropriate size of WH and just comy and paste layers imported to this new composition

Illustrator keep the sizes of layers
Illustartor 2014.1.1 version, version 18.1.1 (64-bit)
After the liberation of 2014.2 effects, version 13.2.0.49
I created an illustrator work 18.0 with 18 layers, and imported into the new model AE as Composition - keep the sizes of layer.
My first problem was imported for only 15 layers, but I realized that somehow the file would come back a couple of stops of the same file name. With the import of layers 15, my layers appeared in their correct position when placed in the layout, but missed me the 3 layers.
After I guessed by saving the file in Illustrator on a new file name and import it, I could get all 18 layers - but all my anchor of layers to the center of the model and do not align their correct position.
How can I get all the 18 layers to align their proper positions as they appear in Illustrator in my AE Comp?
The answer I found that create a similar thread in After Effects. That's after Effects were originally, I had to post this thread, but with my subject be Illustrator, my son went through during the community selection to post and another mistake on my part.
The answer is that my project took 7 work plans. Why? I was working on a work plan, I had a work plan of thinking, thinking that I was changing the size of the artboard, but actually make new work plans.
I deleted the work plans are not used 6 and finished with the plank a chart where I got my Illustrator layers, imported into After Effects and everything works as supposed.
The path that I was creating to try to solve my error is confusing, but the answer is simple.
Answer given above and also even in this thread of After Effects Illustrator visible layers only an image
