import the bookmarks of a recovery

You can retrieve favorite settings, C:\ Files recovery system, I had to redo my product name: HP Compaq 6200 Pro SFF PC, again, these things are very ticklish, and the recovery disc, that you make, to find the computer, never puts photos, etc., were back they really belong, you have to do and it takes forever, anyway, can I import from there , or what I owe everything again and believe me, the only reason why I used the recovery disc (s) is because the windowsimagebackup has not been recognized. Please help and GOD BLESS

Import bookmarks to an HTML file and recover lost or missing bookmarks should have instructions.

You can use bookmarks > show all bookmarks > menu import as well.

  • Could not import the bookmarks file large

I recently bought another computer on Windows. I installed Firefox and tried to import my bookmarks (html) file. I could only import files into my favorites and nothing else. Then I open my file of bookmarks in Firefox and bookmarks I want are still there. The bookmarks file is 15.8 mb in size. Do I need to split this file and, if so, how could I do?

    Thank you!

If you still have the old computer, you can try backup .json (using the backup instead of export). With the new system, restore the .json file.

  • Import bookmarks into FF32 does not work. I tried swapping places that previously worked, I tried to import the bookmarks menu.

It is a windows computer 8 that was RELEASED yesterday that I'm trying to set up again.

I have copies of the bookmarks on a different drive (and in fact on another computer in windows 8 FF27)-I can not move the bookmarks on the computer reset.

I did not attempt to move the entire profile yet just place and also tried to export/import bookmarks.

I just reinstalled FF32 and have the same problem. Yesterday, I managed to move 'places' on the windows computer with FF27 8.

somehow it works now - it wasn't a few minutes ago but I have bookmarks now and you can add them

I tried many suggestions - "you can try to delete the prefs.js file and the compatibility.ini file to force Firefox to reset profile." - tried but alone is not enough

I also installed Java during this process - it was probably necessary and could be automatic to a techno but I am a mathematician not a computer person. I know that I had installed java in the last days, but it is not visible in a search for the word java so I downloaded again.

I took favorite save file places.sqlite and bookmarks off labour win 8 machine and tried to move them in the right spots in the files - did not work at first

I found out the date on the work machine win 8 was a day and so when I open a backup bookmark that was old enough with all the other changes, I did finally worked.

I see now where the star bookmarking moved - I liked the star in the address bar. I normally just use the history. I also don't like the tabs on the top and the other toolbars hidden and change some people during the installation. I'll change those two win 8 for my taste this week, but all of these changes were not urgent.

I gave up control of that reset the PC to its 'owner' until the next disaster. I know that I have a program left to install (not an emergency I was told) and a handful of files to straighten again, but this last thing is status quo around here.

Thank you for all the ideas.

There are also some system # 4 - Windows 7 with FF31 which is my main computer - System #2 exists, as it was purchased for me but I've not used. I hate Windows 8 and hate the idea of moving all my files on it. But there are enough problems on this CPU as if I gave it away as a hand me down, I spent too much time trying to fix it for my spouse so they got a PC brand new instead of replace XP. When I gave them the XP that they had 'clean' with a fresh install of XP on one just cleaned HD.

  • Impossible to import the bookmarks file (file is JSON or HTML)

Recently, I reformatted my laptop with a friend (works in), and from what I remember, he saved bookmarks via the function "import and backup / Backup".
When I went to import back into Firefox, and I sailed to the location of the file, it was apparently not recognized because it does not appear in the folder, in that I know that it is. While in this process, I noticed also that Firefox is either looking for a JSON or HTML file. When I looked more closely the backup file, I noticed that it doesn't have a file extension. When I looked at the properties of the file, it simply says "file". I went online looking for an online tool to identify the file and found TrID (http://mark0.net/onlinetrid.aspx/). When I ran across this identification software all that I got was:

"The file appears to be crude/ASCII text. TrID is best suited for analysing binary files! »

As I don't see any option in Firefox to load this file type, I wondered what could have been hurt during the backup process.
I was able to open the file in Excel (just a hunch because it "seemed" be a text file based on the identification of online files). The file opened, useless of course, but at least it seems that the file is not corrupted in any case.

Please could someone help me with this? I have all my links job search in this backup, and it would be a ton of effort to recreate all this!

    Windows XP Home Edition, SP3

    Hi cor - el,.

    2. At the top of the library window, click on import and backup , and then select restore.
    3. Click Choose file
    4. In the new window that appears, find the bookmarks file, select it and click Open
    5. Bookmark Windows should now be imported.

  • Is it possible to organize the bookmarks into folders? Is it possible to import bookmarks from another browser (by default) (not counting the native browser or Chrome)?

How can I import Firefox bookmarks, now stored in the folder of the user on the same PC (new), in Firefox? I exported my old PC Firefox bookmarks in a folder [Windows 8] on my new PC.
When I use the ease of importing from Firefox, it will only import a bookmark at a time - and then it inserts the bookmarks all the main pages on the site marked with a bookmark, not just the one I initially put bookmark. Also, it does not matter the information stored in the bookmark tag.

    Sure thing.
