  I'm building a software simulation of training where I am using text input boxes.  Some use the enter as a shortcut key, some use the tab key.  Those who use the keys work well, failure caption works by forced entry when you press Enter, it advances to the next screen.  Those who use the Tab key does not at all.  The legend of failure does not work and the Tab key does not advance to the next screen.  I compared to those that work and those that don't work and I see no difference.  I set the text entry box to pause at the end of the slide so that it should not be a problem here.  I even tried to have the action 'to success"to be continue rather than go to the next slide and use a click box using the Tab key as a shortcut to move to the next screen - nothing helps!  Is it possible that the Tab key could have been turned off somehow?  I'm totally at a loss, please help!

• Captivate 6 Audio screen slide does not properly

  Trying to re-record audio for a slide today this screen open - I could save, but not save, because the record button does not appear.  I was able to record new audio files on the same Friday project.  I tried to delete and new audio recodring and the same screen came.  I tried another project - same thing happened.  I rebooted twice.  Any ideas?

  If you check the address bar of your screenshot, you'll see that you are in the folder "C:\Documents and Settings\ [user name] \Application Data\Adobe".

  Could be a possiblity that "Local Settings" folder is hidden, click on tools-> Folder Options, view tab, you have the option of "hid display files and folders.

  

  You can see the local settings folder when you click OK, then you can go to C:\Documents and Settings\ [user_name] \Local Adobe application and rename the folder "Captivate 6.0.

• I started my computer and there are all these weird symbols as of circles, triangles, squares/boxes in all the different combinations. What went wrong and how can I solve this problem?

  The last thing I remember install was itunes 10.5, so I don't think that is the problem, but this has never happened before.

• Captivate 9 - characters on the Asset Store does not open. Images seem to be corrupted.

  The characters downloaded from the asset store are corrupt, they will not open. Has anyone encountered this problem? If so how is it resolved?

  I ran into this when I tried to open images in the image viewer / editors, but I could still place and use the image in Captivate through the menu of characters.

  They may have the DRM or other coding anomalies that are not processed by applications, including PhotoShop image editing!

• Export Audio Captivate, importing to 9 presenter does not load the published file.

  Quick back-story. We bought a subscription to Captive when they announced HTML5 support, but due to lack of devices supported, we also bought a subscription to the presenter who has a mobile app. Some of our content have been created using Captivate now these projects had voice over I had to export and rename audio files to associate with the correct slide. I went ahead and manually imported each individual audio file to the correct slide in the PowerPoint presentation.

  My problem now is when I publish the PowerPoint (2007) with 9 to present project does not charge that he has just the rotation he arrow. For some reason any the project works in "Preview" mode, but not when it is published. Is there a way to find the path where are stored the cache preview files?

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Please check the following settings:

  GoTo Adobe Presenter > quiz > Manage > Reporting

  Make sure that AICC is not enabled.

  If the AICC report is enabled, it will not play in Destop mode.  Please disable the AiCC.

  If this isn't the case then plase share you sample file for me to [email protected] and will try to solve your problem as soon as possible.

• Captivate 5.5 skin editor does not open

  I work in Captivate 5.5, and the skin editor will not open, on the Project menu, or with SHIFT + F11. Any idea of what is causing that? Is there another way to move to the skin Editor, such as publish dialog box? I couldn't find another way.

  At any point did you have a second monitor attached? If so, it is quite possible that the dialog box is opened indeed, but last opening on the second monitor. In this case, you will need to make your resolution large enough so that you see sitting in the odd location dialog box or re - connect the second monitor so that you can then view the dialog box and drag it to the visible area of the screen.

• Adobe Captivate 5.5 aggregator project does not move forward... Help

  I have an aggregator project with two included Captivate SWF projects. For some reason, when Captain project finishes, the aggregator project stops, does not open the second SWF file. I have the last slide in the first project "on exit" "go to the next slide" value (I tried also to leave 'no action' in the form). It worked last week, and I can't understand what changed, or what I'm doing wrong this week. If someone else has encountered the question and can offer an idea?

  Well, the question seems to be if the aggregator published title is identical (in my case) the master SWF file. I just added a ' at the end of the title published aggregator and it works as it should now.

• Some complex web sites like the Huffington Post does not load. Circle just keeps going in circles CW

  Some complex web sites like Huffington Post dot com home page load slowly. When that finally they load and you attempt to open a tab, many refuse to load. Blue circle continues to go round and round in a clockwise direction. The box in the bottom left of the screen says "Waiting for ' or 'Read' or ' transfer of" and the name of another web site that apparently contributes to the page. But nothing is happening for several minutes. The more common a 'suspended upward", it is called pixel.quantserve.com. Several attempts to "Reload Tab" do not help. This problem is not present in Internet Explorer itself. Have run AVG anti-virus several times and no viruses have been detected.

• 212 circle messages on the application icon does not

  Notification of circle on the icon of the application of the messages has stopped working.  I checked the notification settings and turned off Preview.  I don't know what else to do.

  Reset your network settings.

  Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

  If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

  As a final step, try recovery mode. Turn off your unit, then plug it to your computer with the hold home button. Hold down Home button until you see the logo of iTunes on the screen of your device. • I'll try to find my SQUARE in form of pictures.  Using the command FIND does not allow me to use "If pixel height = width in pixels" type of research.  All the answers?

  There is no way to set this search in the "Find" menu only.

  Often, what is possible should also use other criteria used regularly.

  For example, many scrapbookers define a canvas square by default with 3600 pixels for 12 layouts "* 12" with 300ppi. Looking for a h = 3600 (or / and w = 3600) works immediately. You can have several common square dimensions, you can try. Assign a common "IsSquare" tag for each combination of squares.

  If your pixels sizes are approximately 3600, do something like:

  h > 3500

  AND

  h<>

  AND

  w > 3500

  AND

  w<>

  If it works, you can create a search recorded for each approximate size of squares.

• Captivate 9 saved in the pdf format does not not in web browsers

  I tried to download PDF files e-Learning interactive on my site to use as a portfolio. The e-Learning programs have been created in Powerpoint, and then loaded into Captivate 9 to add interactivity and saved as a PDF for the web. However, these PDF files opens in a web browser. The only problem I can find is when I open "Inspect" in each pdf, a warning indicates "/deep/ based communicator". Unfortunately, I do not know what it means or where to go from here. Any ideas gratefully received.

  I don't know exactly, but it means that you have both Adobe Reader and Flash player (working together) were installed. What happens with this collaboration when the pdf file is displayed in (that) web browser, have no idea. It may also be due to something totally different, but I suspect it might be linked to this change for Adobe Reader (since XI (I think).

  Please launch the Console application in one of the following ways:
