Don't know what happened, but I have no sound on my computer. I have the microphone in the taskbar and when I click it it is 100% how can I get sound
HELLO Shirley,
Here are a few steps that I want you to try:
If Windows Media Player seems to work fine, but you cannot hear the audio, you will have a problem with your speakers or sound card. Check all audio connections if you are using external speakers and to ensure that sound levels are defined correctly and not cut. Use Device Manager to make sure that your sound card works correctly and is selected as the audio device by default.Verification of the sound settings
Click on Start , then Control Panel
Select the material and audio and noise
Under playback.. What icons you see?
Click Properties and then click headset/speakers
According to the levels... is at 100% and not CUT?
Under Advanced... What is the default format?
Click test... do you get a sound?Reinstallation of Windows Media Player
Go to "turn on or off Windows features.
* Disable features Media: Windows Media Player
* Reset
* Provide characteristic Media: Windows Media Playerhope this helps,

Satellite A30 - impossible to get a sound after installing XP
Am not able to get sound after installing XP. Drivers from the Toshiba web site do not help. Does anyone have an idea on this issue. Thank you
Hello
It's old model of laptop, and all pilots must work. I'm sure you make a mistake. On this old notebook, you must install Windows XP Home SP1 edition and after doing this install all patches software, driver chipset, driver and driver sound to the less rated. The sound should work fine.
If you have laptop model please download the drivers from the EMEA support page http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com
Good bye

I use a HP deskyop computer. I also have Windows XP on it. I recently bought a pair of speakers and tried to use it on the computer, but it did not work. So I bought another game, something different, and again, it won't work. I even borrowed another pair, but in vain. I need to know if there is something wrong. What should I do? I can't hear ANYTHING from my computer and it's really annoying me right now.

Cannot get sound on the computer
Original title: I'm not all sounds on my computer. I download updated audio contraption and still no sound. Can someone help me please? I tried all day get the sound on my computer. Thank you.
I tried to get a sound from my computer, I did everything possible to get sound, but nothing works. I also download the updated audio thingy but still no sound. I am not connect speakers to my computer, I am using only the speakers located in the monitor. Can anyone help please? I am at my witts end (lol). Thank you in advance.
Hello, I actually paid $59.00 to Hp technical support to only know that when I buy this computer, it came with speakers, so I never received the special cable that was supposed to come with the computer to hear the sound of the computer/monitor itself. Everything on this computer works properly I just need to connect my speakers. I was trying just to hear the sound through the computer, but if I don't want to connect speakers, I'll have to buy that cord/cable wire necessary to do this. Google it and you can probably find ways to reconnect if possible. Good luck, I know how frustrating it can be.

Can not get a sound in computer science
Original title: Audio driver problem. Help, please.
I have problems with my driver. Recently, I received this computer from my mother, her husband cleaned files from the computers and I think he deleted a sound driver, because it is not read all speakers.
Hello
Thanks for posting the question in the Microsoft Community!
You are unable to get sound from the computer.
1. What is brand and model computer?
2. which version of the operating system are you using?
If you are unable to get sound into the computer then it's perhaps because of connection issues or if the drivers are corrupt.
To check if the problem is with the drivers or the connection, I suggest you follow the steps in the site mentioned:
No sound in Windows
I hope this helps. If the problem persists, let know us and we would be happy to help you.

My daughter took out of our computer programs in order to speed it up. She managed to remove our sound system. What can we do to fix this? It's weird to not be able to hear anything when we are online. Y at - it somewhere, a site or a store where you can get another sound system? It's very frustrating!
Yes.
Go to the website of the manufacturer of the PC/laptop, locate the download/support for your machine page and download and install the latest audio drivers XP.
See you soon,.

try to get a sound out of my plasma tv that I use as a monitor for my computer.
Hi, I'm trying to get a sound from my TV to my computer because I use my TV to my monitor. I was wondering if there is a setting that I have to go to which is on my computer. Can someone help me please?
Hi Annamae09,
Cables VGA, DVI and component video don't support audio signals. However, HDMI cables are supported, but not all, audio signals compatible HDMI video audio support cards. If your TV has an audio input, you might be able to connect an audio cable separate from their computer directly to the TV card. Otherwise, you need to connect the audio signal to a different device, such as external speakers or your stereo. For more information about sound cards, see sound cards: frequently asked questions.
