Impossible to import CDs on a Mac

I have problems with 'some' CD import in iTunes I use OS El Capitan. This only happens on some CD someone at - it ideas? Thank you for your help.

Please provide more details...  What happens when you try?

Make sure that the surface of the CD is clean...  No scratches or stains.

Are the CDs that do not import the CD (the kind you buy at the store) of commercial music?  Or are they "MP3 CD" written to a CD - r?

I don't think that your MacBook model has a built-in optical drive.  If you use an external optical drive connected to your MacBook, what type do you use?

When you insert a music CD (that does not matter in iTunes), the CD appears as a disk on the window of your desktop or Finder?  Double-click on the CD to open it in a Finder window.  Right click on a song on the CD and Open with-> QuickTime Player.  Are you able to play the song using QuickTime Player?  If you can play the piece in QuickTime Player, in the QuickTime Player menu bar, file-> export-> iTunes.  Who can get song converted and added to your iTunes library files, if the usual music CD import process does not work for some reason any.

    iTunes 12.3 with El Capitan on MBP. I am importing CDs, they get the checkmark, but then they don't show up.

    I'm ripping of several CD I want to add to a playlist, but it has been difficult. Initially they showed in "recently added", but now they are not found in iTunes, even after a search for them.

    If I click on the CD at the top of iTunes icon, I see the album with the Green checkmarks for each track. But I can't add it to a playlist, and when I click on 'my music', the album is not found.

    Just tried signing and in return, no luck. And if I restart iTunes, the Green checkmarks disappear, and I have to re - import. This just happened three times now: I import, notches display, but the album is not in iTunes, so I restart, and then check marks have disappeared, so I reimport. Frustrating.

    It will be interesting to know what model of laptop you have. When you start the import procedure is the use of the CPU to the maximum? Can you please check it in the Task Manager?

  • Impossible to import the raw files from canon g16 in lightroom 4

    I have a new Canon g16 and can't import raw files into my lightroom 4.  I downloaded the recommended dng converter (canon g16 was one of the devices listed on the support list) and I always get the error message on lightroom being impossible to import and raw riles the g16.  When I checked for software updates, it says there is none - that my lightroom software 4 was "aware".  Does this mean I have to buy lightroom 5 or 6?

    Canon 16 G has been initially supported by Lightroom 5.2.See devices supported by Adobe Camera Raw

    Please switch to Lightroom latest version 6 to be able to process raw images from new cameras.

    Alternatively, you can use the DNG Converter to convwert G16 raw to DNG files and then import them into Lightroom 4. see help Photoshop | Digital negative converter Adobe 9.x

    Please make sure that you have permissions to the folder where you try to import images.

    Or you can try to change the location of import of images in Lightroom.

    Unfortunately, there is no option to import Images directly from Photos from Mac to the Organizer, you can run the import from Iphoto to the Organizer function.

    We can suggest you select all your images on Mac picture and export them to any folder on your system, from there, you can import in the menu Organizer

    Steps to follow:

    Open Mac OS Photos

    Click Edit in the top menu bar

    Select all

    Click the file menu in the top menu bar

    Export.

    You probably have lines with empty group names. For the children of group you will see something like this:

    #group_children

    group_id, group_provider, user_id, ID, user_provider

    MY group, User1, native Directory name

    MY group, user2, native Directory name

    If you have a line with just commas "," so maybe it's why you get the error message

    I have an Oracle 11.1.0.7 primary and have configured an 11.1.0.7 Eve. The config is our recipe for 10g. The broker is in place on both sides.

    I'm going to add DGMGRL primary, no problem. But when I add the day before, I get ORA-16796 (impossible to import the properties). Digging into tracking logs, he mentions an ORA-01017 (username/password invalid). But I have no problem connecting as "conn sys/password@db_standby as sysdba".

    I got this ORA-16796 times before in the distant past, and the problem is that someone has changed the SYS password on the primary without updating the eve orapwd file. In this case, it is NOT the problem. I put in a fresh orapwd on both sides (bounced the DBs later), and I explicitly put the SYS password on primary before cloning the expectations. And once again, no problem doing a "CONN sys/***@db_standby as sysdba" primary. I can talk to the wait, look at its tables of $ V, etc. tnsping, etc all work fine. listening port on both sides shows services. DG broker is in place on both sides.

    Tried the shuffle "stop broker, remove all the config, start db broker, try again ' a few times with no luck.

    I'm really scratching my head on what it could be. Open an SR with Oracle, but I was wondering if anyone here has any other advice?

    Just try to import a few cd's the today and I get the error message (-50). I understand is pretty generic. My iTunes is up to date. The two CDs are any other manufacturer. I tried the setting and disarm type import and the correction of the error. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

    Used for 5 + years and never had a problem itunes import any CD until the last update of Windows 10.

    Have 3 CD purchased recently (even if not new versions) and all I get is imported CDA files, cannot convert MP3, wav, anything. Have searched the net and followed all the advice without success. Understand the file CDA format and what it is and means, but am at a loss to know what to do next without purchasing dedicated files converter software.

    Seems too much of a coincidence for me that after all these years / itunes update etc and more than 600 CD converted without problem, why now...? Windows 10 12 months upgrading?

    I understand that you have a few problems getting the right format for your imported songs from a CD into iTunes. I know it's important to have songs that are easy to read on your devices, so I am pleased to provide you with information to help with this.

    To start, you may want to change your import settings provide a correct format from the beginning:

    If you have trouble importing songs to an audio CD

    If iTunes does not recognize audio CD or if you have problems to import songs, check the following:

    • If iTunes does not recognize audio CD (it does not appear in the iTunes window) or in a window does not appear when you insert a CD, quit iTunes, then open again by double-clicking the application icon in the iTunes folder in the Program Files folder on your hard drive. Do not open iTunes by using the shortcut on your desktop. If iTunes now recognizes the CD, delete the shortcut to iTunes and create a new.

    • If error correction is enabled, it may take more time to import the CD. Choose Edit > Preferences, and then click Import settings. If the checkbox "Use error correction when reading Audio CDs" is not selected, select it. If it is already selected, clear it.

    • Make sure you have the latest software updates for Windows or your CD-ROM or DVD drive. Visit the Web site of Windows and your computer or drive manufacturer for Updates site. Also, make sure that you have the latest drivers for your sound cards and video.

    • If you have more than one CD or DVD drive, try using iTunes with each drive.

    • To see if iTunes can find problems with your CD, choose Help > run the diagnostic CD and choose Diagnostics of DVDs/CDs. To help understand the results of diagnosis and another CD troubleshooting information, see additional tips for troubleshooting questions burning on the Apple's Support website.

    • If it takes a long time to import a song (more than 10 minutes) from an audio CD, the CD may be dirty or scratched. Try to clean the CD with a soft, lint cloth and then re-import the songs.

    If you still hurt to import songs, visit the Support Web to iTunes site.

    As a last resort, you can also convert audio files directly into iTunes:
