Impossible to install Bootcamp and partition problem

Hello guys, I really need your help. I can't install Windows more Bootcamp partition.

So I read a lot of articles on the problem of the partition but it seems that I can not solve the problem at all and I think my problem is very critical. Here's how things all turned out badly:

-J' tried to update to OS X version 10.11.5 from the Mac App Store.

-After restart my Macbook, I got the message error "OS X could not be installed on your computer...". ».

-J' tried to find a solution and I found this:https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203482

-J' did what the site Web told me, that I used the disk utility to resize the partition to the Mac (at the time I had Windows 10 Bootcamp on my Mac). So the thing has helped, I was able to update OS X 10.11.5. After that, I had resized the partition of the Mac to its normal size. (I was very careful not to touch anything else like Bootcamp)

' - The day after I restarted my Mac to use Windows, but since the splash screen, I saw only 'Macintosh HD', I booted in OS X and is passed as a parameter to indicate my boot under BOOTCAMP drive, after restarting black screen said: "no boot device... »

-I went on the web and find all the solutions and I formatted the BOOTCAMP partition and deleted all his data, now my Bootcamp Assistant said: "the startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition.". I tried to install Windows 7 on USB, I chose Bootcamp (score 4), but now I have this: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. the selected disk is a MBR partition table. On EFI systems, windows can be installed on disks GPT THAT MBR cannot support... »

Now I can't find any way to install back my Windows on the partition, I read on the internet that OS X sees that the GPT partition Windows considers MRB. Here are a few photos can help:

My Macbook HDD has 3 parts: Macintosh HD (use for OS X), Bootcamp (used for the installation of Windows) and DATA (use to store large data)

Hi Jason Dang,.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. What a great way to try to get this problem resolved on your own! The best resolution would be to format the drive outside the Bootcamp utility. Your drive must be formatted using the recovery partition. Once you format the drive, you will be able to use the wizard Boot Camp re partition and re install Windows. Please try the link below and select "erase a disc and reinstall OS X.

  • Impossible to install Bootcamp

I try to install Bootcamp on my iMac 27 "(mid 2011) running El Capitan v. 10.11.5, as my operating system. I bought a copy of Windows 10 Home (on a USB key). I downloaded the iso of Windows 10 corresponding on the microsoft Web site. Then I burned a copy of the program to a DVD Double layer 8.5 GB DVD + R DL (Sony).

Now, I had the DVD to my installer of Bootcamp and instered in the Superdrive drive and check both boxes to download the latest drivers and install Windows. Download additional drivers exploded without any problems however, when it came to the installation of Windows 10, I get a message saying that it couldn't find the installation disc.

I thought that maybe my "superdrive" did not work as I have not been able to read ANY disc with this drive superdrive. .... I took the computer to the dealer who sold me the computer and after a few days, they returned it saying that they couldn't find anything wrong with the drive. I get the computer home and NADA. I so restart the computer to the dealer and tell them I want that they replace the "superdrive" even if I have to pay for it. This time they tell me that they have to send it to Apple and it will take two weeks. Two weeks later I won't count it with a message saying that they cannot always find something wrong and not replace the disc. So here I am back home with my computer and cannot install Bootcamp.

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

Windows 10 is not supported by Apple on iMac mid-2011.  See the list of devices supported in a use 10 Windows on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support.  This is probably the reason why BCA pretended that not finding the drive.

You can use 8.1 Windows on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple support on iMac mid-2011, then use a free update to win 10 against MS.

  • Impossible to install KB2596672 and KB2596871 code error 57

original title: cannot install security updates

I have never had problems to install the updates.  Now I have 2 updates Office 2007, KB2596672 and KB2596871 who are unable to install this that gives an error code of 57.  I tried them separately with the same result.  I ran the program of Mr. Fix - it, and it makes no difference.

The suggestions above didn't work, but I had an idea to have problems with an update of Apple Safari and speak to someone in their forum.  I changed the permissions for all users to full control that I'm the only one who uses my computer anyway.  I then tried to install updates and they worked.  I changed the permissions in Regedit.  Thanks for all your help!

    Hello

Is that scratches or stains on the cd/dvd?

I you suggest to create a folder on the desktop and then copy the contents of the Cd / Dvd in this folder.

You can also try to remove the letter R of the Explorer:

    (a) right click on the install disc and click on Explorer,r.

If you are able to browse through the cd/dvd and if you are able to copy the contents of the cd/dvd, you can use the files that are copied to install the game.

If you are not able to navigate or to copy the contents of the cd/dvd, I suggest contact you the provider of game for the replaced cd/dvd.

    Hope the information is useful.

You must have separate licenses for two instances of Windows 7 Professional. Both facilities are considered to be different computers. The VM (VirtualBox) and BootCamp are regarded as separate computers.

  • KS.cfg and partitioning problems

    Hello

I am trying to set up a KS.cfg script to automate my installations for some ESX servers.  I am running questions during the partitioning of the script. Portion of partitioning of my script was driven in from: almost crazy

    Sample (created in Notepad ++):

    part "/ boot" - fstype = ext3 - size = 1100 - onfirstdisk
    the part 'none' - fstype = vmkcore - size = 110 - onfirstdisk
    the part "Essex02" - fstype = vmfs3 - size = 15000 - onfirstdiskvirtualdisk "esxconsole" - size = 7804 - onvmfs = "Essex02".
    part 'swap' - fstype = swap - size = 800 - onvirtualdisk = "esxconsole".
    the part "/ var/log" - fstype = ext3 - size = 2000 - onvirtualdisk = "esxconsole".
    part ' / ' - fstype = ext3 - size = 5000 - grow - onvirtualdisk = "esxconsole".

Values for the partitions are not set in stone.

    Errors:

unknown argument 'onfirstvirtualdiskvirtualdisk ' command 'part. "
unknown argument 'esxconsole' to the command "part.
    "unknonwn argument"
    onvmfs = Essex02 "to the"party"command
Duplicate argument 'size' specified for the command 'part. "
    ""
ondisk "or"-onvirtualdisk "necessary, but not found"

Can anyone provide any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Not sure you can...

    We do this instead:

clearpart - overwritevmfs - firstdisk = mptspi, local

    part/Boot - size = 1100 - fstype = ext3 - onfirstdisk = mptspi, local

    part localstorage - size = 30000 - fstype = vmfs3 - push - onfirstdisk = mptspi, local

    No part - fstype = vmkcore - size = 100 - onfirstdisk = mptspi, local

In this way it will install only on the first LOCAL disk discovered on an HBA to the pilot of all MPTSPI services (i.e. no QLogic and Emulex no card)

Obviously this would not work for boot from SAN, but it does not work for us.

  • Help - my ssd is missing 40 GB, after that I tried to install Bootcamp

Here's the situation. A few weeks back, I tried to install bootcamp and windows. He is not well, but don't forget windows at the moment.

The problem is that I have partitioned ssd in my Macbook Air, creating a new windows 40 GB in size. Win installation did not work, but now I can't retrieve the 40 GB. In fact, it is invisible. I thought I could fix it myself, I waited for this weekend when I have time. I have superdupered a copy of my ssd disk external and tried to reformat the entire ssd, intending to copy the contents of the external drive on the ssd. It did not work.

Disk utility could not erase my ssd. The message was that there was a discrepancy with the size of the disk and who was who.

I have no more ideas. Can anyone suggest how I can get back my missing 40 GB?

A big thank you to all those who can help.

If you used boot camp to partition the drive you would use to remove the windows partition. Rerun the bootcamp and choose Delete bootcamp partition.
