  I guess you are trying to install the driver LAN WXP because Vista LAN driver is not available. Am I wrong?

  In any case:
  -Create a new folder on your desktop
  -extract all downloaded files here
  -Open Device Manager and right-click on device unknown you want to install
  -choose Properties
  -find the Install driver button
  -Click on it and go to the new folder created
  -Follow the on-screen menu

  I just installed Vista on my Satellite A100, with / 3Gb and Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG. Watch the video stored on my workstation, which worked perfectly with XP, crawls to a halt and is totally impossible. If I connect to the 'copper', it works like a charm.

  I now propose the following:

  Go to the website of toshiba driver

  and download all THE drivers, including the update of the bios and put it on CD or USB key.

  Before installing XP, do a biosupdate and so feel free to install Windows XP. Be careful AND READ THE installation INSTRUCTIONS that can be downloaded on the site driver before installing the drivers. IT IS REALLY IMPORTANT.

  There are several drivers for my computer Satellite A100-787 (PSAAN) for wireless local area network. Some are by Atheros and some by Intel, which is mine? I can't.

  As you say that the Sat A100 were shipped with Intel and Atheros WLan cards.
  As I m not wrong not the Wlan card is placed at the bottom of the unit. There should be a tiny label, which includes the information (number) on the minPCI installed wireless network card.

  But why you n t try to first install the driver Intel and then driver Atheros?  :| One of them should work ;)

  Believe me; I see this error message for the first time.
  This certainly isn't a simple error due to software problem, but I think there might be something wrong with the hardware.

  But before you contact the ASP in your country, you should check this:

  If you are not able to boot in windows, so why you n t try to reinstall the operating system?
  Try to boot from the Toshiba Recovery CD and check if it of possible to reinstall Windows.
  In addition I recommend access to the BIOS and try to pass the default BIOS settings.

  I have the Satellite A100 Windows XP sp2 and I'm unable to send e-mail to certain addresses (yahoo among others - recipients rejected by the server).
  After several long sessions with my ISP tech (ntlworld) support that seemed to be the best advice that all is OK with my settings on the server and I need to look for a solution elsewhere.

  I was using Outlook Express as my email application so tried Mozilla's Thunderbird to see if this helped - no improvement, unfortunately.
  Windows updates all installed. I approach approaching the limit of my knowledge, help/advice or pointers in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

  I just installed a fresh copy of Windows XP SP2 home edition on my Satellite A100-646 model no PSAARE. I downloaded and installed all the drivers from the Toshiba support website, but I can't install Ethernet controller. There are 2 types of "LAN-Intel Pro 1000 PL" on the support Web site. I've tried both but do not work.

  As far as I know it is possible, but this must be done by service. They can install old version of the BIOS using special tools.

• Impossible to install W7 UEFI on Satellite L875-131

  I downloaded the latest Bios (6.70) for your support and flashed my bios.
  There is no way that I can install W7 UEFI on the laptop.
  I disabled Secure Boot, my USB key bootable with W7 or W7 boot my dvd properly.
  Windows shows files upward.
  Then on the 'Starting Windows' screen, the screen is stuck, nothing happens.

  My brackets are great, I have used several and when you pass the UEFI in CMS mode, I could make a correct installation, as at the end of loading, I see my scores and choose where to install W7.

  But as my only HD GPT formatted, there is no way that I can install without losing W8, and I don't want to delete all my partitions.

  I'd appreciate a solution for this problem...

  EDIT: I can also add that the installation process works very well under W8, when choosing a free for install partition.
  Windows copy all files, and then when the system restarts once again, I'm still stuck on the "Starting Windows" screen

  I would be grateful to know if the problem occurs on all satellites L875-131, or if my phone is defective.

  If Windows 8 is preinstalled on your laptop and you want to downgrade the OS from Windows7, certain changes must be made in the UEFI FW until you are, be able to install Windows 7.

  The doc that comes with Bluetooth monitor for this computer says that certain files must be present in the c:\Toshiba directory but I n t have this directory at all in my computer. I installed the BtMon2Inst.exe file (which is recommended for installing XP SP1) which seems to have installed fine but do not know if Bluetooth or not functions.

  Bluetooth Monitor you can find on the download page of Toshiba. Search for Satellite A100 (PSAAN). Download and install Bluetooth monitor.

  According to the Instructions of facilities, you must install the Bluetooth stick and then Bluetooth Monitor. BT can be activated using the FN + F8 key combination.

  Satellite A100-813 belongs to the series of PSAA8E and the laptop was equipped with Wireless 3945ABG Intel and Intel Pro/100 LAN card network card.
