Impossible to install the software or updates

I tried for days to install updates for Windows Vista 64-bit with SP2.  It says it installs only 6 of the 9, but I can't install the update of security for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB973923) and

Update for Microsoft XML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2 for x 64 systems (KB973688).  After uninstalling and installing Net framework.  I got this to work.  For this reason, I can not install Adobe or ITunes.   I fixed my registry, spending 2 hours with Adobe and have been to Microsoft technical support, but they were no help.

I see this question there, but not a solution.  Micorsoft is your problem.

Hello

·         What happens when you try to install the updates or application (error message or error code)?

·         This all the steps that you have already tried (if you can list them wouldn't us repeat the same steps)?

To check the error code, follow the link below.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/see-which-Windows-updates-are-installed

Try to download and install the update manually and check if this is useful.

Step 1:

To download the update, follow the link below.

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/973923

Step 2:

Before you install the update to configure the computer to clean start State and then continue the installation.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 7 article to start on normal startup.

Also, for the installation of any application, you can try to install after you have configured the computer to clean the start state. Also uninstall any partial installation of applications that they may conflict with the installation.

Hope this information is useful.

  • Want 4524: Impossible to install the software

    Hello

I recently acquired the HP Envy 4524 printer, I have set up on my WiFi network and printed from my iPhone and iPad with AirPrint and even printed my Mac using the printer set up as a printer AirPrint.  I would like to install the driver of HP printer with the HP Easy Scan software so I am able to scan and have more control over the printer that I can with AirPrint.

I tried to use the HP Easy Start software, but it was not easy at all.  I went through the process and everything was good until I got to the part "Download and install the software" installation and I get a message saying "unable to install the software.  Try again later. »

Is it a temporary problem at the end of HP?

    Thank you

    Fred.

    Hi @JZjr,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see that you have trouble to install your HP Envy 4524 on Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan. I'm happy to help you!

For this printer, there is no full feature software and drivers directly from HP for Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan. This printer can use the built-in driver directly from Apple, which is installed by using the Apple update. According to this document, OS X v10.11 v10.10 compatible printers.

I recommend you to go through this guide, installation of a printer Mac driver by using Apple Software Update. Or, if you need to download the driver manually, you can do it on this website, HP v3.1 for OS X printer drivers.

Then you scan using one of the methods in this post, Re: iMac OS X 10.9.3 Scan for iMac driver for HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 a A910a does not appear to be, by my colleague @Sunshyn2005. (These options works with this printer on Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan).

I actually do not need this software for printing, because the printer works fine on the network, but I need a way to analyze things on network and if I understand the only way to do that is through this software.

I tried to download things from the support page, and nothing works.
I even tried the fix of AMD processor, because there seems to be a similar error, but still nothing.

I explored the installation files, I managed to install the application called "HP LJ M1530 Scan", but it does that if the printer is connected via USB, on when it is not then I get this error:

Here is my configuration, if that helps:

    Additional information:

The printer is brand new, and this error occurred on first installation. And as I say, printing works fine with the network drivers, but scanning is the problem.

Please help, love this product, but I can't use USB whenever I need scanning.

You can do a fresh install if you feel that this is necessary.

You can try to go through this list as well...

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find.  Reboot when necessary.  (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

You can free up disk space (will also help get rid of the things that you do not use) through the following steps:

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

  • HP Laser Jet MFP M177fw: Impossible to install the software for my new printer

I just bought this printer yesterday and have worked all this time, trying to get the software installed.   I used the CD that came with the printer.  I used the software online and the wizard to download and install.  I went through many forums here and troubleshooted with everything I saw.   I get the error message cannot install message.

I am frustrated at something so simple in the past became a chore.   I only use HP products for my scanners/printers and I fear that my next step may be to pack up this unit and take it back to the store for another brand.

    Help, please.

I finally managed to install my software.    I have download an other registery cleaner and found more stragglers and I found about 5 gig in addition to free on my main partition.   I suspect that the limitations on my hard disk partition may have contributed to the inability to install software.   However, I did so many steps, so I'm not sure that you allowed me to complete the process.  But there was something different and who has been installing the update of the firmware that was on the page of the software product and the drivers.    Thank you for your help and support.

  • HP Officejet 4500 Wireless all-in-One impossible to install the software

Scan feature did not work. I use a 64 bit of Windows Dell 8.1 System. Troubleshooting said I had to download the full software. I downloaded from HP as shown with success. I uninstalled the old software HP, then restarted the computer. Then I tried to install the new full features software downloaded. The installation wizard appears, and the software files are checked. The software tries to find my device and soon comes up with a message saying that I need to download the full features software (again, that I am in a loop). Now I can't print because I uninstalled the software I used before I tried to fix the scan.  Help, please.

    Hello lstoneham,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you have a problem with the installation of the printer to your computer Windows 8.1.

I have a few steps we can try to solve this problem of troubleshooting.

I'll give you a series of documents and tools to use to remove the old software and drivers as well as the updated software and drivers via a download.

First of all, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a bar/power strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer for example, but it is intended for HP products in general. Please click the link which explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

If you have the printer connected to the computer with a usb cable, please remove the USB from the printer and the computer and leave it disconnected until further notice.

The first link, I will give you is for HP Officejet software and driver removal utility.  Please save the file to your desktop as it creates it's own icon.  It will be easy to find when the download is complete.  Double-click the new icon and follow the instructions.

Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer.

When the computer is powered on, please go and disable the firewall or anti anti-virus until the relocation is complete.

The next step, we are going to do is download and register HP Officejet full feature and driver software on the desktop.  This will still create it's own icon.

Double-click the new icon and follow the instructions for installation.  The installation will prompt you as to connect the usb cable (if this is the type of connection you want us) so please do not connect before hand.

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, please click here: click here.

    Thanks for your time.

    See you soon,.

  • HP Deskjet 1050 (J410 series): impossible to install the software/driver of printer for laptop Windows 8

Hi, I tried to connect my laptop (Windows 8.1-64-bit) on my printer (HP Deskjet 1050 all-in-One J410 series).  I tried to install the printer using the CD that came with it, but it shows a message "not compatible with this operating system". After reviewing previous questions here, I tried to download the software driver for this printer. None of these files have no effect with some presenting a message saying that the device must already be installed on the laptop for it to open. Anyone able to help?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Please download the following installation package, save it on your computer (remember where) after this fight, click on the downloaded file and run as administrator.

Your printer has only USB connection:

So ONLY plug the USB cord/cable when the installation process asking.
