Impossible to manually add album art in Windows Media Player

Hello

I am trying to add album art manually by copying the image that supports the OMP but when I go the album there is no option saying 'paste album art.

Here are the available options only: http://puu.sh/gpmf3/27fd0a2246.png

You can also save the image on your hard drive/desktop and then drag and drop the album on the album art there is.

  • Album art size - Windows Media Player 12

Repost this, in the hope that someone (obviously not MS, who clearly couldn't care) has an idea how to solve this
I've seen dozens of discussions around the intarnetz on the issue of small album art in Windows Media Player 12, but does not find a definitive 'yes' or 'No' to the question of whether you can get something larger than the resized image pathetic 240 x 240 display when you play a track. Is this possible? If I play titles in Foobar or MediaMonkey (the two programs I hate, BTW) I can get album art to display 'properly' (i.e. the actual size of the image) but cannot find how do in WMP12
PS: Mods - do NOT mark this question as "answered" once some muppet of first line reads and publishes a 'response' nothing on it. Also, do not rename the question "how to get album art to display more than 240 x 240 - I don't want" more than 240 x 240' - I want it displays THE ACTUAL SIZE OF the WORK - just like WMP always used to do. ' " Thank you very much.

I found a solution for the problem of art version 32-bit windows 7 wmp12 album also (since prior to the given by me is true only for Windows 7 64 - bi wmp12).

    Here it is:

Make a backup before doing the prescribed steps as mess with registry can lead to a DEAD computer.

(For backup just click on COMPUTER in regedit.exe, and then file-> export-> 'file name' (may take a few minutes))

    1) go to the path in the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences

    (2) then create a key with the name 'PlayerModeAlbumArtSelected' and set its value data to ' ' as '0' (without qoutes) (for the creation of new key, right click anywhere inside the window and select "new-> DWORD (32-bit) Value")

    (3) then find the key with the name 'ShowAlbumArt' and its 'value data' the value "1" (without qoutes)

The Windows Media Player 12 now shows the original AlbumArt who put you in the song.

    Enjoy!

  • Album art from Windows Media Player do not transfer to my device

    Hello

I have a MyTouch 4 G and I wanted to sync with my Windows Media Player library (I'm using Windows Vista). Then I added all my albums and their added work in my library. Once the synchronization is complete, I unplugged my phone. All the songs were there, but the work was not. D: but the names of the artists and albums are there. What I am doing wrong?

I'd appreciate any help on this! (:

    Thank you

    Hello

Try these steps and check if the problem persists,

    1. click on "Start" then "all programs", then "Windows Media Player."

    2. right click on the album you want to add a picture to, and then click "find album info". Wait a few minutes while Windows Media Player connects to the Internet and download album art for your songs.

    3. connect your myTouch to your computer with the USB cord. The next time that you sync music, the album art will be transferred as well

If this is the same procedure that you followed, then I suggest you to post your query in the Forums from HTC.

  • How to add lyrics and album art using windows media player 12 on Windows 7?

When I am running windows xp with WMP 11, adding lyrics, album art, and even synchronized lyrics is so easy, simply right-click on the song and select advanced tag editor.

The Advanced Tag Editor (ID3 tag editor), which allows users to edit information, is Aussie an important feature, but I do not understand why Microsoft has actually remove this function.

If I may ask, how to add the lyrics and album art in WMP 12. Find the album in WMP12 info function is really not that useful.  Japanese, Korean and Chinese songs when using find album info, generally, nothing is found.
    WMP12 is really irritating.

It's because you can't do it within the WMP12. You have to do a right click on the file from windows Explorer, made > properties > summary > advanced > then you can add the words within the field of words... you see it's really a stirring :(

I installed a windows program to allow me to get and print the album art to music, but I can't access the program.  None of the support tools help here.  Can someone tell me how to print my CD album covers?

    Hello

Microsoft does not help you print the album art to music. You can use any third-party tool to do the same (if available). Use your favorite search engine to search for such a request.

Note: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • Sort Albums by year (Windows Media Player 11).

    Here's the question.

I want to sort my music by artist and then by album release date (year). This can be accomplished by changing my rip directories, but there is no sorting option for this view in Windows Media Player 11.

I wish that all the photos to sort through this way.
    Not in this way.

Using the view 'Artist' will allow me to show all records artist separately, but once an artist is selected, all the pictures are sorted by alphabetical album title by default.

Sort by 'File' is a difficulty, however, that one album can be played at a time.

Ideally, a list of all the songs by artist, then album release date, then the album track number would be the most preferred look one and reading method. The ability to view the art of the cover of the album somewhere on the left side of the screen would be considered a bonus.

This issue will never be treated? Is there a fix Windows Media 12?

Only solution that I can think of is to change the album TAG. Example: "Album name" for "Album name (2000)", but is not preferred because 1, it is extra and incorrect information and 2, can cause database issues later on the road.

Thank you. Please address or difficulty! I enjoy new Windows Media player and eager to pass that my primary music player.

    Figured it out myself!

It is possible to sort the albums of the artist in order of launch date in Windows Media Player 11.

Right click on the columns to sort near the top of the screen.

    Select "choose columns...". »

At the bottom of the pop up option button, click the checkbox "include release date in default sort order."

Which brings us to our next problem!

Now, the albums are sorted from the newest to the oldest, as opposed to the desired direction chronologically from oldest to newest.

You can click on the column heading 'Album' to use, but Windows Media Player 11 does not this preference of sort memory.

Is there or is there a fix for this?

    Edit:

Found my answer for that as well:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/FAQ/library.mspx#q1_20

It does not seem to WMP11 do not forget your sorting preferences was done intentionally.

This concludes my questions and honestly, looks like a poor choice that I would like to see fixed.

Hope this helps someone else in the future.

  • Info album plugin for Windows Media Player

    Hello

I have problem to find my music in Windows Media Player. During the past two years, I have accumulated a large number of the free artist music files that offer their work with some licenses like the GFDL or Creative Commons Attribution. Usually, these files are .ogg. Currently, Windows Media Player 12 can read perfectly but it is impossible to display their metadata, making a mess of my library.

Y at - it a plugin that adds metadata .ogg analysis to Windows Media Player? (I don't mind if its commercial.) Furthermore, it is possible to develop such a plugin, can someone please give me an advance by pointing me to the API? If both answers are no, are there any players from third parties who may fulfill the role of my universal player and correctly classify .ogg files?

    Thanks in advance

Y at - it a plugin that adds metadata .ogg analysis to Windows Media Player?

WMP Tag Plus plugin does exactly that.

What operating system is installed on the computer?

You can delete the database that could have damaged.
To do this, follow these steps:

    Step 1:

    a. exit Windows Media Player.

    b. Click Start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.

    c. Select all files in the folder, and then click delete on the file menu.

Note you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    d. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.
