  I had this problem where I can't use the tool move with the mouse properly. I'll go and select an item on a layer and then try to move it with the mouse (move tool). I did this before and still do all the time on Photoshop on my other machines. However, on my laptop it will not work. I take the only object I want to go and the second I move, is by default moving each layer in my folder. The only way to get around is to use the arrows, but which becomes laborious and frustrating.

  Any ideas?

  Maybe you have enabled automatic selection? There is a checkbox for it just at the top of the interface.

  What are your settings of GPU acceleration?  As I understand it, the Alt right click size and hardness adjust needs acceleration GPU to be turned on, but I have a feeling Brush hardness is always set to easy when using fluidity.  You can still see the quick mask as representation of the soft brush when Alt right click, but you can't change the hardness.

  Is that you can change the brush size and pressure (framed in red in my screenshot) Alt right click drag left and right changes size and down to pressure changes, and you can see what is happening in real-time by looking at the sign on the right.  It works independently of your acceleration GPU (IME) settings, but you don't get the effect of soft red quick mask.

  

  Does this fit with what you see, or you are not able to change things at all?  If not, then I've always found that fluidity consumes system resources, if you could check the Task Manager > Performance tab to see what kind of RAM and CPU use is using the fluidity.  That's what I see after direction the lens above with a big brush continuously for 10 seconds.  Note This is on a fairly quick NLE System.

  So I just installed Illustrator CC, I have now on a trial license.  An hour ago, Illustrator suddenly began to refuse to move objects, while I'm in the selection tool.  I can move objects in the free transform.  I use shortcut keys a lot, so it's really slow me down.  I hit 'V' to click on and then move an object, and then it won't move. I get the error sound, but no dialog box appears to explain the error.

  Because I'm about to bite the bullet and start paying a hefty monthly fee for this program, at my trial runs out, that's enough aggravating circumstances.  Anyone has any ideas what can cause this?

  Looks like there could be a hidden modal dialog open. Hit the ESC key does nothing to release the objects?

  Since this recent update, I was not using my mouse to move an image, text, etc. I use CC2014 on my Mac, not working not Yosemite.

  Clicking on some keys when opening Indesign so it will clear preferences - did not work.

  Restarted my computer - will run for a few minutes then stops

  InDesign uninstalled and reinstalled - nothing

  Uninstalled full CC suite and ran CC cleaner - removed all instances of the Adobe folder on my mac, removed trash, restarted the computer, and reinstalled - there is nothing, same problem.

  I am really frustrated because I really don't want to use my arrow keys to move the items. All the solutions to get rid of this annoying problem?

  The developer for Menu Wizard stopped developing. Which has caused not only MW, but all of Firefox to stop working. I'm unable to reinstall Firefox with no Add-ons - it records automatically during the upgrade with no option to prevent this.

  As far as I KNOW, S3 Menu Wizard is still supported by its developer.

• When the page opens, the scroll bar appears only if I move to bottom of page with the mouse

  It started last week with Firefox 5 and continues with the upgrade to Firefox 6. Each new page that opens in Firefox does not display a scroll bar. By entering the lower right of the page with the mouse and move the mouse to the right, the scroll bar appears and is usable. This "correction" is required on each new page.

  This condition looks similar to the condition met when Firefox 5 was introduced. The fix was to open appearances in tools then choose the default setting. This patch doesn't work anymore.

  I'm going to sound like I'm repeating myself tonight... (see previous 4 posts...)  but try this:

  When you start start pressing F8 until you get the Windows startup options.  Then try "Last known good configuration" see if that helps.  If this does not work, try to F * then try to go to Safe Mode.  If those who do not help, I would start with your XP CD to recovery mode and run "chkdsk/r" then "sfc/scannow".  QQ learn manage!

  Thanks for your help. I work again InDesign brokedown and after a reboot, everything works perfectly fine.

Until I'm able to move a layer with the mouse and arrow keys. When you move the layer with the mouse you he almost jumps back to the original space.   If first is weird, restart your computer, open the first while pressing SHIFT + alt up to the Welcome screen.

• Vertical scrolling with the mouse, Microsoft 6000

  Is that what someone has encountered a problem with the mouse to move the front/diagram of block vertically scrolling panel.  Scroll wheel on the mouse works fine for all other applications, but is very intermittent in LabVIEW 2009.  I'm on a windows 7 OS.

  I tried a series of 5000 ms and that works well.  Any ideas?

  Hi Marc, I reduced the problem by not including not not a software startup in msconfig setup.  Then I discovered the mouse to operate as usual, sort of method of disposal, I reduced to a pointer unwanted facility that I deselected and then ran as usual.  All is well now.

  On my Acer desktop / laptop, I can't remember the serial number or anything like that, but there is a touchpad mouse which I never use. I have a USB key with a "mouse in hand" that I use.

  Saturday evening closed pc cause lack of power. Sunday morning I gave him power, and he began.

  But when you go to the screen "" with applications (windows 8.1) started at the right end. Trying to get to the left of the screen I could do with the USB mouse, but when I left hand letting it got automatically to the right again.

  It's lying, that I could not work with applications to the left (or go to the app store or anything.)

  I tried "Control Panel" and click on "programs". All programs has been more than on a single screen.  And I started at the bottom. Try it with the mouse or the "arrow" s goes up, when I let go I come down to the bottom again.

  Anyone here know if mice "touchpad" do something bad?  Or a USB mouse?  Or a sick computer?

  Sorry for my English - computer is English not my best. Hope someone out there can understand and solve my problem.

Vista can see xp connected on the entire map, but can not do anything with the icon (it shows the IP etc. When hovered over with the mouse). tried fix & checked all the rest including the settings found on the masses of internet sites. don't think that this problem is so widespread and not final fix?. someone must know the answer. both computers have norton 360 v6. !. two computers use internet very well through the same network switch. two computers worked flawlessly again, no repairs, no reinstall, not zero other problems ever (always ran 360 and first market backup battery).
