Impossible to move Documents to the location of the original file

I recently installed a new hard drive (g) to save space, and I wanted to move my Documents out there

I changed the location of the files normally, accessing my users folder (C :), select properties and change the location. However, I did a specific folder to the new location of documents and I simply chose G:\

Documents always appear under my libraries, and I can still access them. However, they no longer appear in my user folder, so I'm more able to move to the default location.

I tried to do a "My Documents" folder later and moved all my files recently moved from Documents in this folder, but that did not work, because it does not yet show a location tab. It shows that 'Général', 'Sharing', 'Security', 'Previous Versions' and 'customize '.

When you go to the properties of Documents in the libraries tab, I tried clicking on "Restore default settings", but there is nothing.

In short, he's my documents are intact. (G) has a folder My Documents containing all my documents, but I created this folder after you change the default location, so it is no longer present in my users folder. If I pass this new folder to my (c :)) users file, which will set?)

Once, I screwed up my file relocations and was able to fix the problem quickly and without any side effects.  However, the solution involves changing the registry to apply the usual caveat [back to the top of all, make an image of the system, test the system repair disc / Windows installation disc so that you know that you can start with something to be able to restore the image if Windows will not cooperate].

1 open RegEdit [C:\Windows\regedit.exe] - I always open it by right-clicking and selecting run as administrator but I don't think that will be needed for special keys concerned by this hotfix.

2 go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

Click on through each entry in the list to see what number S-1-5-21-NNNNNNNNNNNN-100X is the name of the affected user.  The user name appears in the right-hand side of the RegEdit window you look at each entry.  The number of S - etc., it will be the X at the end between your user accounts.

3. navigate to this entry [using the S - etc number you just found]

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-NNNNNNNNNNNN-100X\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

4 change the value of the personal in the right side by double-clicking on the personal and changing that value to that of the new way you have implemented already.  [Staff means your my documents entrance].

5 you will also see a few lines up key

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-NNNNNNNNNNNN-100X\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell records

and the entries in there match those in which you have worked in.  I mention the existence of the second series of entries just because you might see them and might get worried that something has gone wrong.  When I made this correction, I just couldn't get the second set until later so I have whatever it is worry.  [I've never understood the difference between keys user Shell and Shell Folders folders.].

6 that I have rebooted afterwards.  And then everything was fine.

    The use of the words 'documents' and 'files', I may need more information.  A document (for example you can create with a text editor) is a file.  The various documents (files) are stored in folders (icon for them looks like a folder of files in an office filing system).

    If you have saved a file (document) in a wrong folder, you can go using Windows Explorer (generally you press start and then select "Documents" in the list on the right above the Start button) and navigate to the folder where the file is.  Once you've found the file you can right-click on it and select "Cut" (or "Copy" If you want to be sure), then move them to the folder where you want the file and right click in an empty area in this folder and select "Paste".  (If you used the copy rather than the option of cutting option, you will then have to go back and delete the file in its original location).

    Another way to do the same thing that can be easier would be to open start > Documents and navigate to the folder where the wrong file and then open a second window by clicking Start > Documents again (a second window will not open unless you have navigated to a different location from the location of the opening in the first window).  In the second window, navigate to where you want the file to be.  With two windows open just click and drag the file from where it is in the first window to where you want it to be in the second window.

    If you really did not on folders, please answer with what application (program), you used to create the diary.

    cmd - I do not show Panel permissions at all, just said I have unknown access.

    Finally, the fold icon has a small blue arrow in a white circle in the lower right corner.

    I am the only user and admin.

    Do you use a data service on the clouds that fits in the Finder, like "Dropbox" or "Google Reader?"

    My photo library cannot locate the masters original which means that photos don't load to icloud and photo book, I worked all year is riddled with exclamation points, because they can't find the file.

    Is that what I can do to fix the places they designate? The files are still on my computer, because none have been moved and I can find them when you use find any file, it's just that there are more 6 000 files that are "unable to download" so it would be very expensive to do it one by one.

    Are files that can be found inside the photo library in the folder of masters or referenced by pictures in a folder outside the library?

    If the photos are in a folder outside your library, check where Photos expected them to be.  The error you get when you try to edit or export the original file should show you the path to the file in the folder where the photo should be.  Where is it?  Try "file > see the file reference in the Finder.  He opens the folder where the original must be.     I use Windows 10 and iTunes version 12.3.1.

    It's the path statement where the music is currently located on my hard drive:

    If I click on a single song from within File Explorer, it opens iTunes and the song plays without problem.

    To try to solve this problem, I went in 'Advanced' in 'Préférences' and changed the iTunes media folder location to match the location of the files on my disk hard as you can see below.

    Unfortunately, it did not work either. iTunes is always gives me the same message that it cannot locate the original files. I REALLY hope someone can help me finally tried for weeks to solve this problem.

    Two suggestions:

    Solution of the authorization in function of

    • Ensure that all students have access only "limited user" to the computer.
    • Set the permission for the folder in which the files are located on 'Read only' for administrator users.

    I recently started using DW templates in CS6. It was a bit frustrating at first, but seems well wouth it. I've created quite a few pages in the folder root of hares and have no problems there. However, I created a new folder to a different section of my site (mysite.com/new_folder/new_page.htm), and then went to save a new page of the model and got the message "this document uses the following files not in this site. Its the same site, just a new folder which is placed at the root.  When I save the page in the new folder there to make a copy of duplicant images, css scripts and place them in the new folder to work? Must be a way to do it and have DW know where to find the original files surely?
