Impossible to not scan - no computer found

I recently spent the internet provider.  My wireless is down and I have a router Repeater between him and this computer (Mac).  I had no problems with scan until this change has been made.  In the attempt of analysis, I see the message "(aucun ordinateur détecté)."  I have tried to identify the router wireless as the original box and the Repeater.  The wireless network test report says 'no problems found.  The Page of Network Configuration HP our congratulations for the successful your printer wireless installation', says the status Netowrk is "Ready" and the Active connection Type is "wireless".  Yet whenever I hit him "analyze" the message comes that no computer is detected!  I tried to change the printer/scanner and turn it on again.  I tried to unplug.  Nothing has worked.  Help!

Hi Sophia21,

I understand since you changed internet service providers, the printer doesn't scan. You have a box downstairs wireless and a Repeater router also. I can help you, but I will need more information to help you better.

The printer is connected on the behalf of the routers main network?

In the meantime, you can do the following:

    Hello

First, make sure you have the latest firmware installed as follows:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-OfficeJet-Pro-8600-plus-e-all-in-one-printer-series---N911/4322915/model/4323647/document/c02919168/

    Then, try the following:

    1. Of the printer, click on the right arrow / left and press the ion of the configuration of the printer.
    2. Select Network Configuration.
    3. Select direct Wireless Configuration.
    4. Ensure the Direct wireless is enabled and take one step of his password if such a value.
    5. Click on the WiFi icon from your Mac and connect to the SSID 8600 spirit "live / Print" in its name.
    6. Go to System Preferences > print and scan and click on the plus sign to add the printer - you see it listed as Hello via the direct wireless connection?

Please let me know the results, if it not listed as Hello with Direct wireless, which clearly show that the new router interrupts the multicast connection, this is the same as the connection through a different router.

On your screenshot, it seems that your router do not transfer packets to multicast to the need...

  • HP 4500 ENVY: I have a HP ENVY 4500 and impossible to activate scan-to-computer.

I'm unable to scan documents on my copier/printer/scanner. I did some troubleshooting by entering the IP address in my iPad that I was instructed to do and told me that the "scan-to-computer" function had been disabled. But I can't understand how to re-enable the feature "scan-to-computer". All other features of my HP ENVY 4500 work correctly; the scanner is the only thing that I can't go to work. When I try to scan anything that a message appears on the printer screen that says: NO COMPUTER FOUND Make the printer software is installed on your computer, and that "Scan to Computer" is selected.

    Hello

Scanning to a computer from the front panel to scan to a computer with Windows or Mac OS X, not a Tablet as I understnd of your information.

Since iPad you can scan by launching the scan from the HP AIO Printer Remote app, not the printer itself.

You can follow these steps to scan from a mobile device:

  • Officecjet 8600 Pro: can not scan to computer

At the printer for a few years. Started by, scan to computer worked.

Then it would work after a reboot of the pc for a period of time before stopping.

Now, I can not work at all.

I * think * this is part of an update of the firmware, the printer automatically.

Attempt to activate scan of the computer in the HP utility, it says 'Communication error. Impossible to comminucate with device.

However print and scan from the pc works fine, so the printer communicates. In addition, utility HP can see other things such as ink levels.

    Suggestions welcome.

    Hey @Ian_O,

I see you encounter some problems with the scanning of your Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer to your computer Mac OSX 10.11. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. If the printer is connected to your Mac via a USB cable, remove it.
    2. Click on your Apple icon, system preferences and printers and Scanners.
    3. Hold down the control panel and click the icon of your printer on the left.
    4. Click on reset printing system.
    5. Open Applications, Hewlett-Packard and run Uninstall HP.
    6. Restart your Mac.
    7. Download the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

At this point, you should be able to print and scan. If you are unable to scan, please let me know how the printer is connected to your Mac and I will be able to help you further.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to scan, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • HP Deskjet 2050 Scanner not Scan to computer

    Product: HP Deskjet 2050 J510 of all-in-One (I don't know if it's a J510a or a J510c)

    OS: Windows 7 64 bit

Error message: "Communication scanner cannot be established.  If make sure that your product is powered, check the connection and make sure that your network is working properly.  If these conditions are correct, restart the product and try to scan the image.

Changes to the system before the number: None.  Literally, Nothing has changed on my computer.

I had this printer/scanner for five days.  It scanned perfectly fine for the first three days.  And then I left it for a day.  When I went to use it today, it would not scan, which gives me the error message above.

The device is connected to the computer via USB.  It prints perfectly fine, so I know that the computer can communicate with him.  It will be perfectly fine copies, so I doubt that something is wrong with the scanner itself.  I have a theory it is drivers or do magic program scan.

I turned the unit on and off, disconnected and reconnected it, I tried to plug the USB cable in every single port on my computer, restarted my computer many times, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and programs from the CD-ROM of original installation and on the HP website for driver downloads.  I tried J510a both J510c driver downloads.  I scoured the internet for some kind of solution and found none that I have not already tried.

I feel that I have tried every possible difficulty.  However, clearly I did not, because nothing has worked.

I'm at my wits end.   Can someone help me out here?

    Thanks in advance...

    Hello pcwizard,.

I used the Print and Scan doctor, and I was able to scan and copy.  The problem is that I don't know if this solution will last.  The first time I experienced these problems, the convenience store should check the firewall settings.  I did and allowed the printer using my firewall.  He scanned well, but next time I want to use it, it does not scan. Then, the store said to turn the printer off and then on again and check all connections.  I did and it scanned and copied at the time.  After that, it is to uninstall and reinstall, I did and it has digitized correctly only once after.  And finally, printing and the Scan doctor who recommended connect the printer directly to a wall outlet.  That solved the problem for now and I hope it will stay resolved.  Thanks for your support anyway.

  • scanner HP not scan to computer hp

my hp 8600 printer/scanner pro desktop will not scan to my computer for MY SCANS.  Just like a picture.  In addition, when I try to do it from the screen of the printer, it is said that he can not find a computer to send it to.  Yet, I can get importing photos from the side of the computer.

Your message was incorrectly displayed in the Feedback forum.  I moved it to the windows 'Hardware and drivers' forum where the printer/scanner issues are on the subject.  When the validation, always include your version of Windows.

My advice is to check the forums to support HP (starting at http://support.hp.com/).  This is the best source of answers to your question.

    Destin, FL

    Hello Robin,.

Thank you very much for your answers and your efforts! My sincerest apologies for not knowing that Windows 7 Professional 64 bit rested not with the tool! I learned something new from you and thank you so much for this!

We can try level 3 or 4 uninstall manually, instead of running the tool. I understand that the tool would be the easiest method. Here are the steps for you.

There are 2 ways you can run levels:

    Of the Original installation CD:

    1. Insert the CD in the drive and then cancel Setup

    2. open "Computer", and then right click on CD drive and open

    3 open the Util folder

    4 open the CCC folder

5 If you have an HP computer, run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a computer not HP, run the L4uninstall.exe

    6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup

    8. perform a clean boot

    9. run the download to reinstall the printer ( HP Officejet Pro Full Feature software and driver )

If the software has been downloaded and extracted the download of the driver for your system:

    1. click on start and type %temp% in the search box, open the folder

    2. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356) (if there is more than one, choose the most recent folder)

    8. perform the clean boot

(9 download drivers and full software features HP Officejet Pro Full Feature software and driver )

I really hope that does the trick!

    Happy Thursday

  • HP Photosmart 7510 not scan to computer (MacBook Air)

    Hello

I have a HP Photosmart 7510 connected wireless to my home network and I can't select my computer when parsing the list for the computer on the printer.

    I use a MacBook Air with OS X 10.8.2

I've updated all my drivers, reinstalled the software and disconnected/reconnected to the network several times.

I can print to the 7510 my computer.

I can scan the 7510 using the HP software on my computer

I am unable to find 'activate Scan to Computer' in the settings on my computer (and all instructions on this Web site are for Windows)

We organize also several computers window on our network, and these show all in the analysis of computer selection and can be analyzed successfully to. (without going through the HP software installed!)

What is missing for me to scan to my computer? Scan to other computers is not an option (for reasons of confidentiality) and scanning the computer is also not ideal, because I bought the printer for the analysis of it infrastructure.

    Thank you

    Emma

    Hi Emma,

If the Scan of the computer does not appear under the HP utility, more liekly something went wrong in the HP installation wizard.

Try these steps and let me know if that can help you:

First reset the system as follows:

    * Be aware that reset the printer system will eliminate any existing queue and reset all custom settings driver.

Click on the Apple menu and then click on System Preferences.
    Select Print & Scan.
Right click (or Ctrl + click) your product with the Printers list in the left panel and then click on reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user name and password.
Click OK. The printing system resets.

Then, go to Applications\Hewlett - Packard\Device Utilities and follow the HP installation wizard.

Now open the HP Utilitiy and search the computer Scan in the scan parameters section.

    Kind regards

    Hello

What is the Officejet 5510 or Photosmart 5510?

My HP Photosmart C6280 all-in-one not connected to the internet, and can not scan to the computer.  I got it for a few years and must plugged into my Macbook to print, but now I want to use it to scan photos directly to my computer.  Can someone help me to do this?  Much appreciated!  (Not sure where are my original softward records!)

Oh, OK, well this isn't probably the problem, but for good measure, you should get the latest version of the software for your printer from the "support & drivers" link at the top of this page.

In the meantime, we will reset the printing system:

-Go to System Preferences > Print & Fax
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Top of the window, Select the default tab . Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.
