Impossible to permanently delete iTunes Playlist

I seem to have a playlist iTunes ghost on my iPhone 5s that I can't seem to permanently delete.

You can see the contents of the playlist in the image below. I can select each song and remove them, but they come back after I have sync the iPhone with iTunes on my Mac mini.

I'm sure I'm wrong, but is there a way to permanently delete this playlist on my iPhone? Thanks in advance!

TT2 is the iTunes of real experts around here, so hopefully it will chime.

In the meantime, I guess that you delete the playlist in iTunes. Is this correct? I also see that the songs have the dreaded punctuated by circles next to them. Which is never a good thing, I know. I read that if you unsync your music and delete this and then Resync, these circles go away and the music should appear on the device again. Then you should be able to remove them properly.

I will admit that I am no expert on iTunes, but I know that dotted circles are not good.

I read this post from Apple. But I do not get option 3.

    Can someone please help.

Link: 12 iTunes for Windows: delete the songs, playlists or other elements

    Option not to get:

    Do one of the following:

    • Remove the item from your iTunes library only: click on a file to keep.
    • Remove the item from your computer: click on move to the trash. The item is deleted the next time you empty the trash.

The exact behavior on deletion depends on the location of the file in question as iTunes encourage you only to recycle the files located in the iTunes Media folder. Behavior also differs if you are working in a playlist rather than saying the main music source. Shift + delete can be used to remove it from the library while you watch a playlist. Removal of media bought may lead to additional confirmation dialog boxes, as well as the use of iTunes game or Apple's music.

If you keep your media outside of the folder of media to iTunes standard see KillSelectedFiles for a script that does just what it says.

Unless you're 'home sharing', which he does not seem like you are, two libraries (macbook and iMac) are distinct, so a change does not affect the other.  Best way to test would be to remove a few songs you can download easily and see if it changes.  But I don't think it will be a problem.

  • Delete the playlist

Somehow, I ended up with a Genius playlist, containing songs more 8 million in my iTunes. Whenever I go into iTunes and the attempt to delete the playlist, it will freeze iTunes and does not delete the playlist. Is there a file somewhere this playlist where I can remove it without using iTunes? What I've read, it seems that the playlists are all related in a file any? I don't care if deletes every playlist at this point, I just want it gone.

The songs have duplicated themselves many times over in this playlist, which is initially to show as many files. I do not have a lot of songs LOL

How can I move a song from one iTunes Playlist to another (or I can't?)? Currently, I copy the song from Playlist A to B Playlist , and then delete a Playlist. I want to do a one-step process. What I do now is an extra step (i.e. two times more!) and has the potential for error in matches not songs copied and deleted. It is possible to do in a file system; It is not possible in iTunes playlists?

I don't think that it is possible. You can see if there's a script that does for you.  It seems that you are using iTunes for Windows (another forum) so I recommend that you check - many scripts for itunes for Windows only

  • Win 7 64 bit: How do I permanently delete selected files

I don't want to erase my hard drive; I want to just delete some files and already deleted files. Is it already a program in Windows, or what I need to download something (free, I hope)?

Most of the data files you just delete and delete from the trash (or hold down SHIFT when you remove
to stop the file to be sent to the trash). For programs you would uninstall them - use Revo
-Free to ensure that they are removed carefully. After deleting files or uninstall the program then
wipe free space helps prevent their recovery.

If you have trouble to remove problematic files:

Add 'Ownership' to the Menu Popup Explorer in Windows 7 or Vista

Take and Grant Full Control permissions and ownership in Windows 7 or Vista right click Menu

You can try in Safe Mode - several times F8 tap that you start.

    Login as an administrator.

If Safe Mode does not help (and it may) try these.

UnLocker 1.91 - free - the author Site - be sure to get the correct versions of 32 or 64 bit

Unlocker 1.91 - free - be sure to get the correct versions of 32 or 64 bit

I would not install the BING toolbar or Ebay option unless you really want.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN

Below also work on Vista 32/64-bit

Another good alternative - use FileAssassin:

    FileAssassin - free

Force delete (cannot delete) closed or in used files or folders with FileASSASSIN

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN

    And this - MoveOnBoot

To uninstall programs (if necessary you can re - install problem program that does not properly uninstall)
n ' not matter if he will run--then use Revo to uninstall).

    Revo Uninstaller - free

  • permanently deleted photos are REALLY gone?

I accidentally deleted permanently 'iPhoto events' album of my iPhone > iCloud > Mac. I went from 8 000 to 2,000 photos. I've restored some of them of an old backup from time machine (March, 2013). My iCloud account clearly reflects the deletion. I was told that the hard drive data recovery options were futile, because data have been obliterated. Ditto for the Flash to the iPhone. I have renounced all forms of recovery of data a week ago, but now this question keeps nagging me: maybe I missed something? My precious photos are REALLY gone?

What do you think average them permanently deleted, do you mean you deleted and then removed again from the recently deleted album.

The iPhone path > iCloud > Mac doesn't mean anything to me, I'm afraid, but if the pictures have been synchronized on your Mac and you use time machine on the Mac, photos should be recoverable.

  • Why not junk detector permanently delete suspicious mail rather than send it to the junk e-mail folder? SOLVED caused by McAfee spam controls

Recently, from a month ago or so, when I open Thunderbird and it connects to my ISP to download new e-mail messages, e-mails that the Junk detector "think" might be spam, these emails are deleted immediately permanently instead of being moved to my Junk folder, as I've mentioned Thunderbird in all options on how to manage junk e-mail. I know that there have been e-mails that were sent to me for the first time by a new friend or colleague whom I have not yet put in my contacts folder. In fact, I know an e-mail in particular when someone sent me his email address in the email that comes to be obtained permanently deleted. So if anyone knows what's happening here and what I can do to stop this behavior, I'd be very grateful all assistance. This time, to monitor the activity, I connect to my e-mail through my ISP account so I can examine what is in the Inbox ready to be downloaded in Thunderbird before you start Thunderbird. It is a nuisance, but is the only way I know for the moment to monitor all my incoming mail. Thank you!

Sorry for the delay in the publication... Disable McAfee spam controls solve my problem. All incoming messages marked as spam is successfully sent to my junk e-mail folder.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Cannot permanently delete files in the trash

I have a file in the Recycle Bin that contains 2 other empty folders. When I try to empty the trash he says that the top folder is in use.  When I try to permanently delete the folders below it says that I don't have permission even if I read / write on all 3.  How can I get rid of these?

Try to restart, then empty the trash.
