  I have a problem with the tiara in my workplace. I installed the Diadem software on several computers and having started the tiara, I get this error-

  DataFinder: My DataFinder
  Version: 15.0.0f5998

  The DataFinder cannot start due to an internal error.

  (65): impossible in place server Logos

  I just click OK and everything starts as it should, but it is annoying for users. So please can you help me with this error. Thank you.

  Logos is a service of network of Windows of National instruments DIAdem - DataFinder inter process communication.

  It is installed automatically when installation DIAdem and should be in place.

  If datafinder is does not and should not do, it is possible to select different content for DIAdem Navigator for the start.

  Go into settings of DIAdem (settings-> DIAdem settings) and set according to the screenshot.

  You must save your Desktop.ddd when tiara to make it persistent.

  I'm developing a script with Deplhi that automates the creation of documents.

  I would like to be able to place pdf documents in an InDesign document. I adapted a script I found in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3013174

  I didn't define the types appropriate for variables, because Delphi does not not typed variables. There was a line in particular that I had to change completely:

  myPDFPage = myPage.place(File(myPDFFile), [0,0])[0];
  

  The nervous parameter must be an array of double, and missing parameters should be defined. Finally, the following worked:

  var
    APoint:      array of double;
  
  begin
    ...
    SetLength(APoint, 2);
    APoint[0] := 0;
    APoint[1] := 0;
    myPage.place(Filename, APoint, ActiveDocument.Layers[1], false, false);
    ...
  

  Original, the result of the function of the place is assigned to the myPDFPagevariable in the script, and I have problems to get this assignment work. Often uses TypeLib by as olevariants and we must understand ourselves what types are permitted and must be used, and what kind of actors.

  and even with the array index to 1 instead of 0 and without a clue. But none of this should be compiled without error.

  Justifications know how this command line must be or what type of myPDFPage ?

  And more generally: how could determine the types possibla of a parameter, variable, or return type which is an OleVariant in the type library?

  I found a few InDesign CS3 scripts specific documents PDF here: http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/scripting/, but no reference full of functions and types.

  I don't know if anyone else uses Delphi on this forum.

  But here is what I get JS - we will perform a simple test:

  var doc = app.activeDocument;
  var myPDFFile = new File("~/Desktop/Sample.pdf");
  var page = doc.pages[0];
  app.pdfPlacePreferences.pageNumber = 1;
  var a1 = page.place(myPDFFile, [0,0]);
  var a2 = a1[0];
  

  A1 returns an array of objects PDF, but declare you it as doubles. AFAIK, it is always an array of single item since you cannot place more than one page pdf at a time.
  A2.constructor.name;
  Result: array

  A2 returns the class PDF object
  A2.constructor.name;
  Result: PDF

  When you use file > Place, it is not serious anyway, Illustrator will use the part PDF compatible file anyway (except with 'PDF') to save a file additional PDF makes too much sense.

  After a step of a closed contour output, I remove a point, divide the new contour of the original sketch and then I make a mirror of the new contour. Finally when I try to place a point of the contour of the mirror on top of the sketch in the mirror, it is impossible and Illustrator move point horizontally as soon as I drop the mouse.

  I'm working on Illustrator CS6 on a Mac. But I tried it on a PC and the same problem occurs.

  In such cases, the first assumption is aligned to the pixel grid.

  You can select the entire document and untick finally align on the pixel grid in the transform palette and uncheck also align new objects to the pixel grid in the options of the Launcher.

  You can avoid the types of documents with the default (RGB for the web and other) or change the default value for such documents.

  I did yesterday, this downloaded version 10.1.4, which is that of the place planned for me my operating system from Vista 2008. It installed correctly, but I still can't open/view content on all of the pdf, I've been able to open over the couple of months.

  Can someone help me solve this problem? I need to be able to consult these documents for work!

• Impossible to place the watermark.

  I can't place a watermark on my PDF file by using Adobe Acrobat XI (Adobe Technical Suite 4). It is a new problem that took place before my attempt of today. The gist of it, is that when I try to add a watermark and click on 'OK', I get the following error message:

  "Whereas a string object".

  Then, the wizard closes and no watermark is added. It is important for the company that I am to have an easy way to add a watermark in several multi-page documents. Any help to fix this error will be appreciated.

  This happens with all documents or just this one? It sounds like the file was damaged somehow. There is a check, that you can do to see if it reports syntax errors.

  I'm trying to place a specific PDF file in a drawing.

  I get a message:

  In the drawing, almost all the text looks like random characters. Part is correct.

  How can I fix >

  Place the PDF file and uncheck the option 'Embed '.

  Is the text OK?

  If so, select the positioned content and choose object > flatten transparency. Vector-slider to 100 and be sure to check: describe the text.

  Does anyone know why the best moments I did many PDF files are not appear when it is placed in a file of ID CS4?  I'm trying to make work instructions and really need this text highlighted.  Is there another way I can achieve if the PDF does not keep the changes I made?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  The trick here is that the highlights are not some highlights, they are comments PDF as highlights. You can make comments in the form of sticky notes, outlines of clouds, rectangles, boxes with arrows and so on.

  So what you want to do is to print the PDF file in Acrobat, the Acrobat printer or PDF, with the possibility to print the comments put in operation. It is likely that the default print definition in your version of Acrobat or Reader, has the ability to print the comments turned off. Depending on your version of Acrobat and your operating system (Windows or Mac), the option can be one place or another.

  Here's what it looks like on Mac OS X 10.5.8 (last updated Tiger) with Acrobat 9 Pro:

  Which application you are converting the files?

  Check if there is an update available for Acrobat, launch Acrobat > go to the Help menu > then click Find updates.

• Impossible to edit PDFS with Adobe Acrobat Standard DC

  One of my users try to modify a PDF file that does not currently have recognizable text. I understand that if nothing are recognized that you can't modify it until you run OCR.

  Although my agreement with Adobe Acrobat DC after choosing 'Edit PDF' Acrobat will automatically recognize the text on the first page to make it editable, even if for my user after choosing 'Edit PDF' they receive this error message:

  

  If I try the same process with the same document Adobe Acrobat Pro DC program automatically recognize the first page and make it editable.

  So my question is: is this problem that may occur because we are using Adobe Acrobat Standard? I tried to look at your site in order to know what are the features do not come with Adobe Acrobat Standard DC, but could not find information on OCRing records automatically.

  Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

  Modification of the functionality of scanned documents is not available for Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Standard DC versions 11.x.

  You have to upgrade to "Adobe Acrobat Pro DC" to use this feature.

  Sometimes, when I open a PDF file and try adding a text it says that I need LiveCycle Designer. What is it and why do I need this?

  

  This means that the form is created in Adobe Livecycle Designer. They are another type of form than what Acrobat creates and modifies.
