  When you uninstall Google Chrome you also remove the Chrome files that remain when the program is removed?  Verify that no files have been left after uninstalling.  The path to check (with hidden files showing) is:

  C:\Users\\AppData\Local

  There you should see a folder with the name Google remove this folder and try to reinstall.  To get hidden files to show the computer open, select organize in the toolbar area.  We see the choice of folder and Search Options.  Click on that.  From there click on the view tab.  There is the option to show hidden files.  This will allow you to find the necessary space to remove the folder.

  Hi I had this problem yesterday... I don't bother thinking about the use of system restore because I had nothing changed on my computer. Simply, I rebooted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled Google chrome. It now works normally again.
