Impossible to remove e-mail messages in windows mail after that that they were opened
Impossible to remove e-mail messages in windows mail after that that they were opened as a unknown code message keeps popping up
Go to view | Layout and turn off the preview pane. Then, you can highlight the message without opening it and delete it. Also you can go to tools | Options | Read and check the possibility to read messages in plain text only and should not be the same questions when opened.

When I connect to Windows 7 after my laptop has been asleep, the Welcome screen will block for always (10 + minutes). It does not every time, but maybe once all 5 or 6 times and it's happened lately. I can just shut the computer off and the newspaper with no problem after starting it upward, but I'm afraid, there may come a time where it does not work.
I had this problem since I got my computer 2 months ago so I don't think it's related to what I have installed. Has anyone else encountered this problem and has found a way to fix it? Is this a common bug in all of Windows 7?

Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.
Please see:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security/online-privacy/msname.aspx .
Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.
These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.

* Original title: scam or not
I received a call from a woman saying that she was with the ICC with Windows service provider and they received my computer error messages and I wouldn't be able to help me solve it. I asked for a number of 800-373-4609 because he came unknown on my phone.
I wanted to open my computer. I told her I would call her back.
Is it a scam?
(Moved from P & M)
Yes, it's a scam. When someone calls and says they need to talk to you about 'mistakes' in your computer, simply hang up. I just had one of these calls myself about 15 minutes ago.

Upgrade to Windows 10 after that I got my hard drive replaced
Hello
I have a Dell Inspiron 15R running Windows 10 I received through the upgrade process.
Recently, he has developed some hard drive problems I went and got the hard drive changed but had to install windows 8 because it is the operating system it came with. So I very well, I'll go through the whole process again no problem.
I spent a few hours trying to raise all the updates and then realized that there was none, so I downloaded the Windows 10 Upgrade Wizard and tried to go through but it gave me an error for "Operating system". It says "You need to activate Windows before upgrading".
He said windows is activated but Activation details displays a 0xC004C003 error code. I looked at this community solutions to this and tried the phone activation process, but it says I could be victim of piracy of software through automated Messaging. Who has no sense because I was running the same copy before with my Microsoft ID and all.
Why he thinks that the software can be hacked?
What should I do now? It is ridiculous to force me to buy a new key. Why should I pay again for something I already own.
If I've been duped by the store, I got my replaced hard drive so how can I restore my windows with my own key?
Help, please!
Thank you
[A moderator has left your forum thread Win8 specific update to the assets of Win8 (etc) - specific forum for us.]
I figured out how to get my key from the BIOS.
Have you tried to activate (for example by telephone) with that key? -Online http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/24636-activate-windows-8-phone.html
Here again, this page shows the 0xC004C003 error code means you will need to contact a Microsoft customer service representative. YMMV
How can I clean install windows without a disk?
For Windows 8 (.1), see http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media
If you want to upgrade to Win10, there is a way to do it, too - but I think you would be better to remove your current installation of Win8 & running (i.e. activated & fully-patched - including get Windows installed 8.1) before worrying about the upgrade to Win10.
PS: The guy 'at the store' caused these hassles. Maybe you should contact the store & gripe?

I bought my HP Pavilion windows 7 Tiger pawn in Columbia, Missouri in 2013. I have upgraded to windows 10 in 2015 or 2016 at first (without free of Microsoft Update), didn't like it not and downgraded to 7. Since then there has been a "not a copy genuine windows 7" displayed in the lower corner to Rt. After I responded to solve it 'now' I did know that I have to pay for the downgrade. I found the product key # by 'JellyBean' but it wouldn't work. I contacted Microsoft who sent me to HP that stated that this laptop was made in Middle East and could not help me. (The keyboard is equipped for English and Iranian, I think. I cannot download IE and can't find answers from Microsoft because apparently I don't have a genuine copy of Windows 7! Heck, this computer hp pavillion laptop has windows 7 when I bought it! I even called Tiger pawn and they told me that it was purchased without the installation disk. Help! At the start, I always have this horrible "DNSunlocker" virus/malware.
Hello Sharon,
To remove this DNSunlocker, please follow the steps posted by ball the on this link.
Kind regards.
